Darkness swept over the ever-bustling city of Akihabara as the day came to a close.
Keiko Yumi, upon hearing the doorbell ring, made a beeline towards the front door.
On the other side of the door was Shian Meizono, looking somewhat disheveled. “Whew… I’ve been running around all day, but I need to get you something for your birthday today…”
She reached into her duffel bag and pulled out a large box and handed it to Keiko. Wait.. how did that fit in her bag…?
“A flex arm for drawing tablets. Just a little something to make drawing easier and ergonomically more comfortable. Someone I knew said these make a huge difference. Attach it to your tablet and I guess you can figure the rest out. You make good mangas, so hopefully this can be of use for you.”
Shian pulled her phone from the pockets on her leg garters. Her brow twitched when she took notice of the time. “Oh for fuck’s sake, the court’s gonna take all my money if I don’t catch this guy… I gotta go now, but have a Happy Birthday, ‘kay?”
And with that, Shian disappeared into her black sports car and drove off.
As Keiko watched Shian drive off, the manga artist was still a bit shocked that the enforcement agent actually went out of her way to give her a gift and wish her 'happy birthday'. Not that it wasn't unappreciated, but Keiko always figured Shian was more friendly with Criss than her. Though they've spoken a few times before, usually it didn't go further than a few 'hey's', 'hi's', and 'how are you's'. So receiving a gift from her was definitely surprising.
But as stated, it wasn't unwelcome. Especially considering the gift Shian bought for her was a very useful and nice one. She hadn't experienced any arm problems, besides a hand and arm cramps, so something like this would be put to use a lot. The last thing she wanted was to be diagnosed with RSI like Nikki. Taking the flex arm into her room, she quickly and easily attached, trying it out. Needless to say, it worked flawlessly.
The young manga artist then resumed what she was doing before the doorbell rang, continuing work on her manga. Looking at the flex arm she was currently using, an idea suddenly came to her head.
"I've been meaning to add a bounty hunter to my story for a while now..."

“Package for… Kaiji Sano?”
Kaiji, blinked, staring at the deliveryman in bewilderment.
Strange.
He didn’t recall ordering anything. Plus, it was the day after his birthday, so why would there still be presents for him?
Regardless, he took in the package and brought it inside.
After a moment of inspection, Kaiji ripped open the package.
Inside was a flat white box with an open-faced card taped to it. Scribbled on the card was a message addressed to him. Despite the red scribbles barely being legible, he did his best to pick apart the words.
“Hey,
I hear it is your birthday. Not sure if your present got to you on time, but I’m a big fan of your cosplays and thought it was right to send something over. Hope you like what I’ve got in store for you. Happy Birthday.

Well that’s… something.
He undid the ribbon that from the white box and removed the lid, finding inside a pastel lilac sleeveless dress, covered in lavender flower prints and layers and layers of tulle.
“Huh, nice timing. This gives me an idea..” Kaiji grinned

“Hey Cuties! It’s Jinx! Your favorite cosplaying maiden!” Jinx waved at the camera with a wink.

“Today someone sent me a very nice gift for my birthday, which was yesterday I know but it looks so cute that I want to show it off now!”
And with that, Kaiji stood up from his gamer chair and took a few steps back to fully show of the outfit in all its glory. Almost instantly all the compliments and constant pings of donations came pouring in.

The day was coming to a close in the city of Kanazawa as the previously blue skies had become nearly pitch black.
Presents and gifts stacked high in Joey Kurusu’s home, and yet, there was another to be sent to his abode.
Just resting on his doorstep was a delivered package with his name and address printed on a sticker that was plastered to the side of the box.
Without much thought, he brought the package inside and tore inside it without much thought.
Resting on top of a box was an open-faced card with a message written to him in red handwriting that was far too messy and hardly legible.
“Hey,
Heard it was your birthday today. Happy Birthday. I don’t know if you remember me, but you helped me a lot in a previous hunt. I captured the fugitive thanks to you. Thought I’d return the favor and get you something for your birthday. My teammates helped me pick this for you. Makina, our youngest member, said you can use this as a stand for your gaming controllers or consoles. And Anika, our leader, said these kinds of things make the best gifts. Hope you like it.

“Fucking hell…” Mamoru remarked as he stared at the atrocity in front of him.
Joey couldn’t answer for he was too busy literally rolling on the floor, wheezing and laughing so hard from the sight of his gift Shian had so gracefully bestowed upon him. He would laugh harder every time he would catch a glimpse of it, Mamoru tried to keep a straight face but the blonde’s laugh was infectious and even he couldn’t help but chuckle, shaking his head fondly.
“Ahahahaha..I…hahaha…h-how…h-howwwhahahaha, how do we even use this? D-do we, hehe, do we just put them in it’s lap?” Joey laughed out as got off from the ground and dust himself off, giggling at the…whatever it was.
“Don’t ask me, also, they’re going in your room, I am not explaining why we have crew members from among us with sexy legs whenever we have people over.” Mamoru leaned against the wall and crossed his arms, Joey pouted. “Awww, but they would so good with our Genshin Impact TV stand.”
“I still can’t believe you convinced me to buy that.”
“Uh, no, you begged me to buy it after seeing it had Albedo on it.”
“I did no such thing.”
“You also begged me to a lot of things to you when I cosplayed as Albedo during our anniversary-“
“You’re sleeping on the couch tonight.”
“No wait baby I’m sorry!”

Darkness glossed over the city of Aoyama as Luis Kokyu’s birthday came to a close.
A gloved hand knocked on his front door.
No longer surprised by the random gifts that swung by his home, he made his way to the front door and tiredly opened to meet the new guest.
Standing on his doorstep was a tall woman with bright strawberry-colored hair, a large box in her gloved arms.
“Hey there,” said Shian Meizono. “I went to your restaurant to deliver this for you, but I was told that you had the day off today and they told me I could drop this off in person.”
She grabbed his arms and gently placed the box in his arms. “I didn’t know what to get you, but I had to do something for you since you take good care of me when I swing by your restaurant and eat everything on your menu. Happy Birthday.”
She spun around and made her way to her black sports car. She paused and turned around.
“Oh yeah, I didn’t know what kind of desserts you’d like, but I hope you like this one. It’s horchata-flavored. Take care, yeah?”
And with that, she drove off into the night.
With a sigh, he brought the box inside and peered inside of it.
Luis looked at the cake the strange woman had left him. He was currently trying to remember where he exactly he had seen her from. Apparently, she had eaten at his restaurant before, though that wasn't a huge hint since many people ate at his restaurant every day. He's positive he would have remembered someone like her, especially with her long red hair and the fact she drove a sports car. There weren't too many people in Japan who had a description like that.
Shrugging, the Hispanic chef figured he'd think about it later. Placing the cake the woman had brought him on the kitchen counter, he swiftly and methodically cut a small piece for himself, before biting into it. He gave a hum of approval. He had tasted and even made horchata-flavored desserts before. But this one was good. Not saying it was better than what he made, but it was close.
"Whoever that woman was, she has good taste." Luis thought, as he finished his slice of cake.

Evening descended upon the city of Saitama, as the previously pristine azure sky turned into a faded celadon blue.
A gloved hand knocked on the door to the Miyuki residence.
No longer surprised, Sayaka made a beeline for the front door and was met with a young woman with bright red hair.
“Miyuki,” Shian Meizono said, her voice curt. “Happy Birthday. I’m up here for yet another hunt. Thought I’d stop by while I’m here and send in something for you.”
She pulled a palm-sized chiffon-pink box from her giant duffel bag. She quickly took Sayaka’s hand and placed the box in her palm.
“You know, since you’ve helped me out a number of times on my hunts. And speaking of ‘hunt,’ I should get going. Okay, bye now.”
Before Sayaka could respond, Shian had turned the other way and headed for her black sports car and drove off.
Bewildered by how short the greeting was, Sayaka carefully opened the box and pulled out what was inside.
It was a gorgeous pink bottle of perfume, the cap shaped into a beautiful mermaid curled into a ball with her back against a crescent moon.
Sayaka peered at the labels on the back of the box, reading the contents to herself.
‘Forever Blooming Flower’
‘Top notes: Watermelon, Convallaria majalis, Jasmine, Tea.’
‘Middle notes: Gardenia, Daffodils, Cantaloupe’
‘Base notes: Grass, Bellflower, Vetiver’
“Um...” Sayaka blinked, confused as she watch the vehicle drive off into the upcoming night before slowly closing the door. While Sayaka had met all sorts of people, especially since entering the Division Rap Battles, it was still quite something that she had yet to get used to but it did make the brunette happy that people from other divisions and some she hadn’t met before were taking the time out of their days to wish her a happy birthday or give her a gift. Speaking of, she looked at the bottle of perfume the mysterious redhead woman gave her and smiled, taking off the cap and spraying a small amount, she hummed at the delightful scent that filled her senses. “How lovely.” She smiled.

Shianbon vs. Dark Tiirubon! (Part 2) (Pt. 2 of 2)

Now let's conclude this story!

"GRRRRAAAAH!!!" Dark Desire roared as she repeatedly punches a stone wall. "I was so CLOSE!" As she yelled "close," she punched the wall so hard it left an indentation in the stone. "If it were for those two brats, I would've taken them all out! Graah!"
One more punch into the wall, then she stopped and panted, and spoke low and darkly. "If those goons don't take care of those kids and their parents, then I will do something about it."

Tiiru's birthday bash had begun! Everyone there was having a blast, from the classic party games to arcade games like DDR (to which there was a small tournament held that ended with Shian coming out on top), and an extra large bouncy castle (Dot couldn't get in, but Shian decided to chill with her and talk so she wouldn't be alone), there was even a chocolate fountain, it was a fun time for all the kids, and the kids in grown-up bodies. By the time things settled down, it was time for cake.
Everyone gathered around as Aka brought out the cake, with Sora eyeing it intently as she set it infront of Tiiru. "Go on, Ti! Make a wish!" Sora urged, wanting to dig into the cake already. "Sora, don't rush them! It's their cake!" Scolded Tosukana, making Sora grumble afterward.
Tiiru put some thought into what they want to wish for, once done, they blow out the candles, but right after they blew them out- SPLAT! Their face got mashed into the cake. "Whoops!" Said Shian with fake sincerity, cue some stares, small gasps, snorts and stifled laughter, and face palms from Tosukana and Mizuiro.
They lift their head up from the cake, their face was completely covered with vanilla frosting, and the stifled laughter grew more prominent. They wiped the frosting away from their eyelids, then glared at their sister and spoke lowly, but with a hint of playfulness. "Shianboooon..." They scoop up some of the mashed in cake to return the favor, but she bolted before they could.
"Hey!" They shout as they took off after her and try throwing cake at her. "Get back here, Shianbon!" She laughed. "Make me, Frosting Face!"
Mizuiro sighed as he watched the two kids. "Oh those two..."
"Kids will be kids, Mizu." Midori tried to reassure.
Meanwhile, Sora was quietly crying waterfalls about the ruined cake. "That poor delicious cake..."
Aka walked up behind him and gave him some consoling pats on the back. "Don't worry, Sorabon, I made sure to make some extras." She reassured, as everyone turned to continue watching Tiiru trying to throw cake at Shian as they both laugh.
----
Later that evening, Tiiru found themselves on the balcony overlooking the sunset, their arms resting on the railing. They've decided to take a break from all the partying for a little bit of peace and quiet. "There you are, squirt." Said a voice, they didn't have to turn around to know who that was. They turn their head to glance to Shian. "Hey, sis."
"So this is where you've been." She ambled over to them. "I thought you said you needed to use the washroom."
"I did, but I needed a break as well from all the noise. Mind joining me?" They asked as they gestured next to them.
She shrugs. "I don't see why not." She steps over to the open spot next to her sibling.
They both gaze into the sunset, the silence started to get boring to Shian after a few seconds, Tiiru could see it in her face, so they thought some chit-chat wouldn't hurt. "Y'know, I didn't get the chance to say this due to the circumstances, but tanks for saving me earlier." She turns to them to wink, not catching their pun right away. "No sweat. It's what siblings do, right?" Beat. "Wait, did you just make a pun?"
Tiiru gives her a smirk "Maybe." Shian playfully slugs their arm. "You dork!"
Tiiru laughs. "That aside, I really do mean it, plus, your new tank is pretty cool."
Shian's eyes light up. "Isn't it?! I finally have my own mecha now! I can finally fight baddies alongside you and our friends! Ooooh, I can't until the next baddie shows up, we can fight them together!" She blabbered on and on, even punching the air everytime she mentioned fighting baddies until Tiiru shushes her.
"L-Let's not get ahead of yourself, Shianbon. That will happen when it happens." Their voice gets softer when they recalled what happened earlier that day. "I only hope those "baddies" won't be our friends and family..."
Tiiru bringing that up did make Shian quiet down. "Yeah, I'm with you on that..." Her voice perks up again and proclaims to them. "But if that does end up happening, I know we can bring them back if we work together, even if it won't be easy! It's happened before, hasn't it?"
As gloomy as they felt, Tiiru couldn't help but smile a little at their sister's optimism, though the smile falters, then they look away shamefully. "But, what if next time...we can't bring them back..?" They mutter.
She rests a hand on their back. "I'm 100% sure we will find a way, that always happens with you guys whenever you're fighting the Neo Dork Trio."
True, the group does always find a way to victory, be it through strategy, or just being plain lucky, but after what went down with them being corrupted and all that, they still had their doubts. What if someone couldn't be saved from their corruption? They really hope it won't come to that point.
"Tiiru." Shian calling their name snapped them to attention. "Hmm?" She then asked firmly. "Do you know who it was that turned you dark? If we find them, and beat them, then nobody else can be turned evil!"
They shook their head. "Sorry, Shian. I never caught her name."
"Her?" She inquired. They nod. "All I got was that she's a lady, and she spoke to me through this broken purple heart thing before it turned me dark." "So that's how she corrupts people..." She mutters.
"Shian, can we discuss this later? I'm not in the mood to continue this." They told her firmly. Knowing they've been though a lot, she understood. "Fine, but keep this in mind: if you're having doubts, worry about them later, and enjoy the now."
Shian giving advice that isn't outrageous? That's something you don't hear everyday, but that is good advice, and it did help Tiiru. "You giving good advice? That's new." They teased.
Shian rolls her eyes. "Just take it or leave it, Ti."
Tiiru chuckles. "I'll take it and keep it in mind. Thanks, sis."
"You're welcome." She says proudly, then after quick pause, she went on to say. "By the way, that edgy look you had didn't look half bad."
Tiiru does a raspberry. "You mean that tacky look? As if! But I'll admit the amount of "edge" I had made Sukārettobon look more like a wannabe."
Shian busts out laughing from their jab at Scarlett. "Yeah, it totally did! Ha!"
After calming down from her little laughing fit and wiping away tears, Shian went on to say: "I think I'm gonna head back to the party and play another round of DDR, maybe you should come with. Everyone is probably thinking you got stuck in the bowl."
Tiiru does another raspberry, then a laugh. "I think I'll be fine here a little longer, thanks."
She turns to leave. "Alright, then I'll just tell Sorabon you said he could have the last of your cake." There was a beat, then Tiiru soon followed suite. "Okay I'm coming!"
Shian laughs, Tiiru really likes their matcha, so she'd knew that'd work. She wrapped her arm around them once they were next to her. "Happy Birthday, squirt!"
"Thank you, sis." For a second, Tiiru thought she was going to noogie them, guess she doesn't plan on- wait, was that a glint in her eyes just now? Oh no.
The next thing they knew, they were in a headlock, and wouldn't you know it, she's giving them noogies. "Birthday noogies!" She says aloud. They let out a little shout as they received the noogies. "Ah! Shianbon!" They then let out a laugh. "You should've saw that coming!" "Yeah, I really should've! Haha!"

The blue skies of Kanazawa was slowly fading into darkness as evening was beginning to hit the city.
Kyler, not even surprised to see a deliveryman outside his door anymore, allowed them to wheel in a flat, wide package that was half his already tall height.
Carefully setting the package on its side, he opened it and dragged out what could’ve been inside it.
It was a metal art piece, with three-dimensional accessories protruding from it.
He peered inside the package again and he found an envelope with a birthday card inside. He opened the card and did what he could to read through the black scribbles that was his sender’s penmanship.
“Hey there,
It’s your birthday, yeah? You probably don’t know it, but you helped me a lot in a previous hunt. You saved me a ton of time and a tens and thousands of yen. Since I found out your birthday’s today, I did feel the need to give you something as thanks. Just as courtesy, okay? Happy Birthday.

Kyler looked at the art piece he had hanged on his wall not too long ago, he wasn’t gonna lie, it looked amazing, he wasn’t one for art, mainly because he didn’t really understand it but he can appreciate something if it looks good and this was exactly that. He couldn’t help but think back to the letter and the person who wrote it, Shian, he wasn’t familiar with the name but he couldn’t help but feel like he knew something but he wasn’t sure what, Kyler had been on many missions since beginning his career as an agent and during that time he had met many people from different backgrounds with only a few unique individuals standing out from time to time, he wondered if this “Shian” was one of them? Ah well, no matter, he’ll figure out that mystery later.

Darkness casted over the city of Aoyama as Karada Kessaku’s birthday was drawing to a close.
However, there was still one little surprise left waiting just for the birthday boy.
Slipped beneath the door was a thick envelope addressed to him with red ink in penmanship that was hardly legible. After an eternity of trying to decipher the messy scribbles, he gave up and tore through the envelope.
Inside was a stack of photographs.
More specifically, photographs of his beloved girlfriend, Lola Takahashi, in several different outfits (or a lack thereof) in rather compromising poses.
Karada’s eyes bulged out of their sockets as he flipped through each photograph one by one. With each photo, the amount of clothes she had on we’re getting less and less, and eventually leading to the blonde to pose for the camera with no clothes at all.
He barely managed to snap out of his daze when he noticed a short letter addressed to him.
“Hey there,
Happy Birthday, Kessaku. Your girlfriend over here thought it’d be fun to send in some results from a specially-made photo shoot just for you, buddy. Hope you the fruit of our hard labor.
-Shian Meizono
P.S. your girlfriend’s a lot of fun in the bedroom. So thanks for sharing”
While Karada was busy looking at the pictures of his girlfriend, Luis, who had been "forced" to stay over at his friend's house for the night because of a certain "spider" incident, was busy in the kitchen, trying to scramble something together for a small dinner before calling it a night. Unfortunately, as clean as Karada's kitchen was, it was like pulling alligator teeth trying to find anything in it.
"He really needs to get better at organizing his stuff." Luis thought, as he looked through his friend's cabinets, trying to find some flour or yeast for a cake. Sighing, he figured he had no choice but to bite the bullet and ask the owner of this house. Heading to his bedroom, the chef knocked on his friend's door, which was strangely closed.
"Hey Karada," Luis called out. "Do you have any..."
"DON'T COME IN!!!"
Luis jumped back from the door as he heard his friend yell at him from inside his room, startling him. Cocking an eyebrow, Luis looked back at the bedroom.
"Karada...?" Luis called out.
"Look, I'm busy right now! Talk to me later!!" Karada answered back.
"...I just wanted to know if you had any yeast or flower."
"C-Check one of the cabinets! I have some there!"
"Okay..." Luis answered, his eyebrow still raised. "...Are you okay in there?"
"I'm fine! Please go away!!"
With an eyebrow still raised, Luis looked at the door for a few more moments, before throwing his hands up and walking away from the door, figuring his friend was just being weird again.
"I'm not even going to ask..."

The light chime of the doorbell echoed throughout the Takahashi household. Lola, in no hurry whatsoever, made her way to the front door.
She opened the door, revealing a tall (though still shorter than her) young woman with bright strawberry-red hair and white braids, and was clad in mostly black. She was digging through her overly large duffel bag with furrowed brows and murmuring incoherently to herself.
“Oh, Takahashi,” Shian Meizono said, quickly glancing up at the blonde model before her and returning to searching through her duffel bag. “Happy Birthday.”
Though the bounty hunter wasn’t looking, she could tell Lola was shooting her a somewhat surprised look.
“What?” Shian asked, still digging into her bag. “I’m not allowed to deliver a gift on your birthday? Ah, found it.” She took a palm-sized baby pink velvet box out of her bag and handed it to Lola.
Shian leaned in and pressed her lips against Lola’s cheek.
Shian pulled away and chuckled, admiring the glossy peach-colored lip imprint that was left on the side of Lola’s face.
“I’m in the middle of a hunt and on my way to the next city over, so I can’t bother you for too long.” Shian said, using the back of her gloved hand to gently wipe away the kiss mark. “But Happy Birthday, Takahashi. And enjoy your present.”
With that, Shian was driving off in her black sports car before Lola could process the whole exchange.
Chuckling tiredly, Lola undid the baby pink ribbon holding the small box together to find inside a ruby necklace, it’s jewels leaf-shaped and held together by rose-gold chains, all nestled on white velvet lining.
“Well, this is proving to be a very interesting birthday.” Lola chuckled as she clipped the necklace on and let it dangle from her neck, she admired herself in the mirror, loving the way the jewelry sparkled against her ivory skin, she paused however as she caught sight of a slight smudge of peach colored lipstick, making the blonde woman smirk and gently wiped it off with a flick of her thumb. “Though, I felt as though it would be a lot better if she went in for a kiss on the lips instead.” She then brought her lipstick stained thumb to her mouth and looked herself in the eye as her pink tongue licked it off before shrugging nonchalantly. “Oh well, beggars can’t be choosers, thank you mysterious beauty.”
