The beginnings of a new project… two to be specific. Exterior wooden doors for our home in Cape Breton. I’ll build them here in the city shop and ship them out to the Coast for installation next summer. The door on the left is the South facing side of the house… a little less fancy, a little more modern. Lots of glass for lots of light. The one on the right is the front, West facing door; much more traditional and much larger…although it’s not an exact replica, it’s fairly close to the original door on the house, now close to 150 years old. These are large, challenging projects and I’m looking forward to getting started! Of course this is always the first step, dimensioned drawings and then a cut list.
