alfie was half a whiskey deep when he finally saw hannah entering the bar she had told him to meet her at. “jesus christ, i was starting to think you were gonna stand me up” he told her, moving his jacket that he had placed on the barstool next to him in an attempt to save the seat for her. “don’t run my tab into the ground on my birthday, i have bills to pay” he joked, knowing if anything he would be the one to rack up a tab with all the shots he was already planning on ordering in the back of his head.

It had been a while since her last run-in with Hannah, leading Arden to believe that they were actually in an unspoken and tentative truce at the present time. walking into York’s cosmetics was honestly one of ollie’s worst nightmares come to life. being surrounded by so much makeup, so many girls in makeup, so many options for such a clueless brain to comprehend. her first and only thought was to seek help, tapping the first person she saw that looked like an employee on the shoulder. “do you think you can help me? Noah had made his way out into the backyard so that he could smoke a joint, only to see that Hannah was already there. “Hey Callaghan, cute costume”, Noah complimented her. The two hadn’t really spoken since he had extended the metaphorical olive branch so he wasn’t exactly sure if they were on good terms at the moment. Still, he was hoping that the Halloween spirit -- and the copious amounts of free alcohol available inside -- had potentially put her in a good mood. “I was bummed to hear that you weren’t entering the costume contest but let me guess... you didn’t think it would be fair for everyone else if you entered because you’d knock them out of the water”, he teased.

Adrian had his hoodie up and earphones in as he just sat by himself. He didn’t have anything playing through his earphones, he just wanted them in his ears to avoid having any conversations with people who may past by. Adrian’s eyes were cold as they continued to stare beyond the horizon that was about to rest behind the water. He hated that he was feeling sorry for himself but he didn’t know what else to do. Lily was now gone and Adrian was now left to his own devices to cope and survive. ‘Surely no one will see me having a pity party here.’ he thought to himself. Sometimes after closing up shop at Yorks, Nate will let Hannah practice using the new makeup products on him. As one of the makeup artists, Hannah is always trying out new looks so that she can later use them on customers in the hopes of upselling so that they'll buy more stuff. Weirdly enough, Nate actually likes it -- mainly because Hannah's a tiny bit softer during these moments, which means that he finds it less difficult to try and keep up with her.

Nate and Ryan have a shared board on Pinterest where they pin all the interesting baking recipes that they find. Once a week, they get together and pick a recipe at random and make it. They'll often FaceTime Ryan's friend Emery and he simultaneously makes it in his kitchen so that the end result can be posted on Em & Ry's baking Instagram.

Somewhere along the way -- and without even realising it -- Hannah Callaghan had become one of her closest friends. Whilst the blonde was usually quite materialistic, AJ knew that Hannah wouldn’t expect anything from her given her precarious financial status; yet she still saved her tips so that she could get her friend something for her birthday. the truth of it was, alfie hadn't had a rough day at all. he spent most of his time practicing on the grand piano which sat in the foyer of his friend’s beach house, which he was grateful to be house-sitting for the weekend. now, there was no way alfie was gonna let the opportunity to have some company over slip between his fingers, and before he knew it he was in the bathroom making sure the stubble of his beard was shaven down befor when he opened the door to none other than Hannah Callaghan. “I'm surprised you showed, thought you’d be clocked out by now” he teased, looking Hannah up and down as he opened the door. “there’s tequila in the kitchen and condoms in the bedroom, where do you wanna go first?” alfie smirked.

Whilst the Theta Phi Kappa house wasn’t known for their social events, they would still occasionally host gatherings; albeit ones that were a little less crowded because they were more selective with the guest list than the social fraternity and sorority. Tonight was one of those occasions and as president, Arden had ducked into the kitchen to make another bowl of rum punch. She looked up when someone walked in and joined her, smiling politely as she slipped into the hostess role. “Is everything okay? Can I help you find something?”

Naturally, the first place that he went after getting back to campus was Mars Bar; intending to drink away his sorrows until that annoyingly painful spot in his chest went away.
