It looks he’s getting a bath, doesn’t look like he enjoys it.

The colors are absolutely amazing, the dark purple in Tsukasa’s outfit! ( And seal ( what’s that about? Just fashionable? ) ) Totally fits him! And the bow on Hanako’s tail, so cute!!

I absolutely love this.

Do you think his name is "Amane" or "Hanako" in Ryokan AU? Or is it both, like in canon?

Anon it keeps me up at night. He's just Hanako-tei and Hanako-kun in the media itself ....... I have no idea where 'Amane' would come from. Did TSUKASA name his cat 'Hanako' (effectively 'flower'.... this would be so moe I would die) .... would Tsukasa name his cat 'Amane' (???) .... or was he just like, 'blacky' or something ... 'kitty'... and he told Tsukasa his proper name later . Did he take on the name 'Hanako' only at the ryokan? Does he need a secret identity name situation at all????????????? It's so specific, why he is 'Hanako', a girly name, in canon ... but he has to be Hanako for events, its the title name , it makes the cafe recognizable ... I'm sure Iro-sensei has invented a rationale for why he is 'Hanako' even here ... but will we know it ... probably not ...

Our only thing to think about,

Nene does not go by Pretty-chan, the name her human owner gave her, which suggests Nekomata+Bakeneko name themselves, of their own accord, regardless of what humans call them. She's not truly Pretty-chan. She is Nene. She says so. (She doesn't appear to have a family name, either, which is more food for thought.)

... But Nene also probably didn't give a shit about her human owner, while Amane is very enamored with Tsukasa, so I could see him keeping/being sentimental over a name Tsukasa gave him.... whatever name that could be =.= hnnnghhh...I love both of Amane's pretty names, so it's hard for me to want to discard one. I would like to figure out a way to still enjoy both names discreetly....

Bakeneko Ryokan au TBHK characters as cat breeds ( The bakeneko ones )

Nene canonly looks like a ragdoll cat.

Hanako looks like a bombay cat, they have yellow eyes too, but idk about the paws being grey. Doesn’t matter though, Nene’s fur is white and teal.

If Tsukasa were actually a bakeneko in the au, he would also be a bombay.

Mitsuba, I think would be a Japanese bobtail. Just one long cat, like in my bakeneko au fanfic.

Sakura would be a Siamese cat, I’m assuming, just one cat with long ears, she seems to have long ears?

There is not much characters presented as bakenekos, only the ones that are dead/supernaturals ( Nene’s a bakeneko because of her deadly fate ). But in my fanfic I mentioned Mei being a cat, I wanted to add her in one of the aus since she’s really not in a lot ( Plus, she’s also a dead character ).

I mainly imagine her as a friendly cat breed, so like a ragdoll, or a Persian cat, or a maine coon?

Man, the new Hanako-tei cards are not what I expected.

I thought Tsukasa was disguising as a cat for fun, like to be with Hanako and live in the amazing inn. But it’s so he won’t get eaten 😭.

I mean I’m pretty sure that Tsukasa has no where to go but the inn., or he does but stays there because Hanako wants to keep him close and not venture the human world unsupervised, even though he is a human and is also in danger of getting f**king eaten at the inn.

He needs to be more careful, he obviously doesn’t like disguising as a cat but Hanako gets mad at him when he takes off the ears and tail knowing that he can get eaten.

Man, these themes of eating people in TBHK are more constant now.

I wonder if Nene knows about Tsukasa being a human, or doesn’t know and if she ever found out she’d try eating him.

I think she knows and definitely would try eating him ( Or not, I don’t know ). But I also feel like this is related to the whole kannagi and yoshiro destroying thing. Tsukasa is a yoshiro and in the end she’ll ( maybe ) end up destroying Tsukasa.

I’d like to think that Tsukasa and Nene will build up some some kind of relationship with each other and Nene will find a way around destroying Tsukasa. I also wonder what Hanako will think about destroying Tsukasa, since it isn’t clear yet.

But honestly it’s funny to read that Nene is just as thirsty for humans as ever other cat in there.

He looks so incredibly fashionable, I love the outfit. Seriously. Rich kid indeed.

He’s so petty, giving the very amazing ryokan a 1-star bc his stay is not going well? Wow. 💀

She is so incredibly pretty, like I can’t do this anymore. The jewels, her kimono, her cute pink fish decoration. So pretty.

I still can’t get over how cute he is, and the cat things on his side! Server boy.

I forgot that he is a bakeneko trainee, and that he was turned into a cat… I guess I forgot to add that in my little Hanako-tei au oneshot.

She’s so cute omg.

I like how Nene and Hanako are described as definite bakenekos, and Tsukasa’s identity is questioned.
