So she watched it all through her monitor.

When we delivered that last hit before Undyne became the Undying Alphys started to go "oh no...oh no no no no..!", But whooshh Undyne transformed at the very last like those magical girl animes they watched together?! And Alphys began to cheer to her monitor, that's the love of her life and the hero of underground and she believed -- hoped -- Undyne could actually stop the human right then and there.

But as the fight goes on, a sense of foreboding and dread creeps on her. Alphys thought it for a moment. Alphys is the only monster underground who knew. The only person on earth who knew. Monsters, and determination, and coming back from death. And she grieves for Undyne before the battle even ends. No matter the outcome, Undyne's too far gone.

"Alphys told me that she would watch me fight you," Undyne said, the first thing when she's starting to melt. And continue melting. Like someone full of determination, like the amalgamates, her biggest regret in life, like the ice cream she's making so she told Undyne the sea-grass required is scientifically important. In another timeline, she saw Undyne refrained herself from attacking the human because of that sea-grass.

So Alphys watched it all through her monitor.

Then she's a puddle.

The encounter ends.

The human left.

Alphys watched.

And only watched.
