When Josh apologized for partaking in cultural appropriation, made a post talking about donating money to the FND Institute and urged y'all to go to the First Nations website to make a donation yourselves, did you do it? :) Judging by the comments on that post, I'd say the answer is no. Because it was never about the native Americans, it was about y'all's entitled asses wanting Josh to bend to your will. Same thing is happening right now with the Palestine thing. You don't actually care, you're not actually going to donate if they share a post, you just want them to do what you think is right, otherwise they won't fit your moral criteria anymore, and you want to continue liking them.

But what's funnier is that on the occasions the boys have actually taken the time to speak about important matters y'all have collectively wiped your asses with their contribution. When Jake got on camera to condemn police brutality and urged people to partake in the BLM protests (which him and Josh attended), instead of focusing on the content of his message, you micro-analyzed his every expression and turned the fucking video into tiktok edits. Some of you are probably too new to remember but I repeat: PEOPLE MADE THIRST TRAPS WITH THE VIDEO JAKE POSTED TALKING ABOUT BLM. And when Greta partnered with Not Impossible Labs and offered a concert for a deaf audience using wireless vibrotactile devices, nobody fucking cared. I rarely ever see people talking about it.

So I really don't understand what is going on with y'all, you get mad when they're silent but when they do stuff you ignore it? Be so for real and shove the holier-than-thou attitude up your constipated asses. Acting like them talking about the issues against minorities in other countries is so important when you didn't even pay attention to them when they were assisting the minorities in your own.

I got some thoughts on my mind guys.

After being *slightly more* involved in this fandom, I just have noticed some things…

Instead of having real conversations with people, we seem to think it’s okay to assume someone is a terrible person from a mistake or misunderstanding. People fuck up, a lot. They have forever and ever fucked up. But now because we have social media we feel the need to point out something that someone did instead of trying to have a real conversation and explain why what they did might be wrong.

Now I’m not saying by ANY means that we should forget the behavior, or dismiss it as nothing, and any person at fault SHOULD admit that they were in the wrong. But we actually need to hear people when they apologize.

It is truly NOT okay to be sending people death threats or to say horrible things about them.

Another note, if you comment anonymously on gvftea and say some fucked shit about other fans kindly please do not interact with me :) you can have your opinions on people but to blatantly hate on people who are doing you (or others) no harm is kinda fucked up! Just sayin!!

Anyways. I’m all for holding people accountable for their actions, but I’m not for bringing out the pitch forks and making someone feel unsafe. Let’s remember some fuckin peace love and unity and be better members of this community!

From what my friend told me, from Josh’s mouth, he likes unconventional women (which a. no one’s surprised by but b. he did specifically say women so… there’s that). He used a lot of roundabout language to make it sound more vague than he wanted but she said he mentioned girls with a “certain sense of style,” “values counterculture” (didn’t explain what that meant) “values artistic expression - like tattoos” (my friend has a sleeve that he referenced), “someone who cares for their body and overall health”, “strong personality” - when my friend asked what he meant, apparently he got flippant and said he didn’t really know, but mentioned things like “opinionated”, “honest”, “strong-willed”, and someone who he could “debate with” would be an indication to him of someone who he could develop feelings for. Also someone who would “balance him out”, given he’s an extrovert so he probably is inclined to want an introvert. He said he was adamant about not looking for something right now, as he is a strong believer that his person is “out there” and he isn’t one to “force it”. He said that “when it happens, it’ll happen”, but my friend said that he seemed very wistful when speaking of the whole thing and almost like he didn’t believe half the things he was saying. Kind of sad.

I would like to say that this happened a few weeks back when my friend was out at a bar in town and went out to smoke, Josh happened to be out there, they got to talking about her recent break up and the conversation led there.

But yeah. What I gather from those things is that he likes a woman who is the exact opposite from what you’ve all decided is his type, and honestly, is a rarity in term of personality of women he seems to be around normally. Not to mention, the exact opposite of himself. I hope whoever Josh’s person is has stayed far away from this bullshit blog and has their own interests aside from these whitewashed Michiganders and their Zeppelin rip offs because as much as I like the guys, whoever is with them long term should have better things to do than this fan bullshit.
