War of `56. Second battleday. Getting into the action.
After the first battleday, the clans had gotten a realistic Picture of where they stood, and what capabilities their opponents had.
-At least those who had looked through the footage from the fighting.
The trouble was the late anouncement of who one were to face, so preparations were either quite excessive or pretty late.
But when the Gaming Authorities gave the signal, most of the clans emerged to start kicking butts and taking names.
When the first half of the day had passed, the scores stood:
Div 1
B.o.A.D. 36 - 23 Warlocks
The Dragons have won better than 3 out of every five clashes fought so far.
Fusion rejuvenated 2 - 13 Magnificent-7
While the seven have gotten the lions share of the wins so far, the fight is far from over yet.
Div 2
Northwind Dragons 72 - 5 Slaughter House 5
The Dragons have smashed the Slaughterers, and it seem the fight is decided already.
Spirit of Bunny 94 - 36 M&L Team Banzai
In the so far bloodiest conflict of the day the Bunnies have gotten a huge advantage. Can the Banzai team come back, or have they shot their wad already?

T.B. BlackWatch 61 - 17 P.F.U.D.o.R.
While the BlackWatch have a big advantage, the Unicorns are still struggling mightily to catch up.
Avengers of Bunny 11 - 24 Star League
The Leaguers have managed to outscore the Bunnies better than 2-1 so far, but I suspect there will be a lot more fighting before this Battle is over.

B.S.L.R. 87 - 1 Alpha Legion
Here it looks like the Rangers have decided the fight already.
Death`s Brethren 20 - 15 Heroes
While the Brethren have an advantage, the heroes are still in the fight and might turn the tables on them.

Death`s Stalkers 19 - 4 Heroes Support
The Stalkers have won almost 85% of the opening engagements, but while the Heroes are down, they are not out yet.
Death`s Revenge 4 - 23 Black Star Bandits
The Bandits have hammered the Revengers, but they might yet come back as there are still plenty of fights to be decided before it ends.
"R.V." 32 - 13 Mad Scientist.7
R.V have gotten a solid advantage, and it will be hard for the scientists to even the score.
M&L B.C. 13th A.D. 22- 38 HF Dragoons
The Dragoons have outscored the Cats nearly 2-1 so far. But herding those Cats toward defeat might be harder than the Dragoons expect.

Smurf Platoon 38 - 16 Emerald Dragons
The Smurfs seem to be the winning team here, but the Dragons might yet burn them to crisp.
Diamond Dragons 28 - 0 Death`s Disciples
It seem like the Dragons have a live fire excercise. With the Disciples in the role as both targets and attentive students.
Guardians of Bunny 43 - 1 Galaxy Rangers
The Bunnies have stolen several marches on the Rangers, and unless they concentrate on this bit of the Galaxy they will get a solid drubbing.
P.F.U.T.C 46 - 46 M&L of B.o.P.S.
These two clans are neck to neck at the moment. This might develop into a Match to Watch

M&L NecroManiacs - 13 - 19 ***R.V.***
R.V. have opened best, but the Necromancers might still come back as the number of engagements fought so far still is pretty low.
Ronins 28 - 1 T.B. 1st K.H.
The Ronins have won nearly all the engagements so far, but the Highlanders might be waiting for the right moment to strike.
t&t 27 - 9 Heroes Ranger Raccoons
t&t have had a success rate of 75% so far, but the Raccoons might suddenly surge forth.
HF 110th C.C. 1st A.R. 2 - 17 Renegades
Nothing is decided yet, but as the Renegades have the advantage it is up to the Cannon Cockers to resume the hostilities.

Sacrificial Lambs 12 - 0 MurderMechs
The Lambs have gotten a dozen wins while the MurderMechs are waiting for the right moment to counterattack.
Heroes Light Brigade 0 - 3 JC`s Rowdy Bunch
The Bunch have won a few engagements, but this Battle is not even properly begun yet.
Behemoth 39 - 94 **R.V.**
R.V. have thrown in a full scale offensive, and the Behemoths are slow to answer.
M&L A.R.S.E. 37 - 11 Death`s Hecklers
The Rogue Smurfs have gotten a serious advantage, and the Hecklers had better get quite a few wins soon unless they want to be left in the dust.

Major Steel 10 - 2 Shadows Garden
So far only a dozen skirmishes have been fought, but the Steelers have won most of them.
Active Sleepers 54 - 14 I.N.A.
The Sleepers have had a success rate of nearly 80% so far, and if they stay alert this might go their way.
*R.V.* 3 - 15 Jagdstaffel 2
The Jagdstaffel is ascendant for now, but their margin is low enough for a solid counterattack to change the status quo.
ICP 7 - 33 Karma
Karma have smashed through the ICP defenses and gained a serious adventage.

Mad Scientist 1 43 - 4 Banditos
It seem the Scientist have found the correct formations to fight a succesfull war.
Horsemen Squadron 6 - 2 Dawg Patrol
While the Horsemen have opened best, the number of fights fought so far is still pretty low, so a reversal of fortunes might well be in the cards.

This just in: local sect leader shows affection by metaphorically knocking shit off the coffee table.
It’s the first time Jiang Cheng has seen Jin Ling in person since the morning after the temple, and Jin Zixuan’s proud posture with Jiang Yanli’s gentle eyes and the fire that is all Jin Ling himself is making Jiang Cheng realize that coming up to him in public was probably a big fucking mistake. Have you heard, the rumors would say, the fearsome Sandu Shengshou started bawling at the fucking conference like a mother on her daughter’s wedding day. His nephew is all grown up and Jiang Cheng squashes the (irrational, unhelpful, don’t do it you miserable bastard) urge to grab Jin Ling and fly back to Yunmeng.
“Your guan is crooked,” Jiang Cheng says instead.

raise your hand if you've ever had a small child crawling over you and wondered if they're biologically wired to find every soft place on your body with a sharp elbow 😩
[context: JC's having a bad mental health day and JL is too young yet to understand what that means]
“Jiujiu?” Jin Ling calls. The curtains have been pulled across the big window and no candles lit, leaving the whole place dark. No one responds, either. Jin Ling pushes the door closed with a foot and stomps around the privacy screen, annoyed at being ignored. “Jiujiu! Stop being sad and come outside with me.”
He stops when he comes around the privacy screen and sees Jiujiu lying in bed, facing towards the curtained window with his back to Jin Ling. A blanket’s been pulled all the way up to his ears, leaving just his long hair in a messy braid sticking out and threading its way over the edge of the bed.
“Jiujiu?”
There’s no response. Jin Ling sets his pack on the floor next to the bed and tugs a few times on the edge of the blanket. When there’s still no answer, he clambers up, struggling not to tip over when his hands and knees keep knocking into unexpected bumps under the blanket. He hears a faint grunt at one point when he bonks into what feels like a belly.
“Jiujiu,” he says when he finds the top of the blanket and starts pulling it down, “Auntie Song said you’re sad. Jiujiu?”

Jin Ling knows that there are days when Jiujiu doesn’t get out of bed in the morning when he’s supposed to. Auntie Song calls them “heavy days.” Jin Ling isn’t really sure what’s so heavy or how a ‘day’ is anything that can be picked up in the first place, but he guesses that if anyone could, it’d be Jiujiu. Jiujiu can wear lightning, after all.
(Or: sometimes Jiang Cheng has bad mental health days, and Jin Ling is still too young yet to understand.)

Snippet during the CQL canon timeskip from a WIP that's turning out much longer than I expected. （；´д｀）ゞ

“I admit I wasn’t expecting that,” says Lan Xichen, tilting his head towards the other side of the garden when Jin Guangyao looks at him in question. Sect Leader Jiang is speaking with a heavily pregnant Qin Su in a voice too low to carry, Jin Ling’s growing toddler self propped easily on the man’s narrow hip. There’s nothing untoward happening - they stand a very proper distance apart in full view, and Jin disciples pass freely in and out of the garden - but as Lan Xichen watches, Sect Leader Jiang gives Qin Su something like a smile when she laughs at whatever he just said. Lan Xichen doesn’t actually remember the last time he saw Sect Leader Jiang with any expression other than anger or carefully blank coldness.
“In retrospect, I feel like I should have,” Jin Guangyao replies, a little wry. “It’s hardly a secret that, historically speaking, Sect Leader Jiang has fewer defenses against kind, older women, and my Qin Su is more than capable of deflecting his sharpness.”
“A-Yao…”
“Aah, no, Er-ge. The man is a very different type of predator than other men can be. That has never been my concern with him.” He shoots Lan Xichen a look with a note of mischief and says very quietly, “May I offer you a secret?”
It’s a struggle to bite back his own grin. “Of course.”
“You understand, of course, how these cultivation conferences can wear on even the most patient of men. Should it appear that, ah, a storm is threatening to pass over the company, I recommend shoving a child at it.”
Lan Xichen snorts a surprised laugh before he can stop himself. “A-Yao!”
“What might kill any other man won’t hurt the child, and it will take the wind out of the storm, so to speak.”
Lan Xichen gives him a look.
“...And yes, it’s hilarious to see Sect Leader Jiang completely derailed from violence by a drooling infant.”
Lan Xichen wants to argue that Sect Leader Jiang isn’t that violent (at least when he’s in public, surrounded by other cultivators; Lan Xichen has otherwise taken a carefully neutral stance on the gossip that’s filtered down), but Jin Guangyao is unusually relaxed despite being in public and he doesn’t want to ruin it. “Should I even ask how you discovered that?”
Jin Guangyao clicks his tongue and gives the question more thought than Lan Xichen had expected. “He fought my father much harder for access to Jin Ling than many actual parents would, let alone a maternal uncle trying to rebuild a decimated sect. During one of his visits to Koi Tower, I found him close to drawing his blade against Jin Guangshan, so I tested it by telling him that Jin Ling needed a change. He immediately took the boy, yelled at me, yelled at the nursemaid with me, and then stomped off to his guest quarters to take care of it.”
Lan Xichen shakes with suppressed laughter.
“Besides, if Qin Su is a miracle-worker who can win him over, then I suspect that his tendency towards extremely selective altruism may one day extend to include our own child.”
Before Lan Xichen can reply to that, he sees Jin Ling suddenly reach over his uncle’s shoulder, grasp a handful of loose hair, and yank.
“Ow, ow, fu - let go,” Sect Leader Jiang grumbles, “let go, ow!”
“Ling-er, Ling-er,” Qin Su coos through an audible laugh, reaching out to help untangle the toddler. The toddler, meanwhile, just yells, “Jiujiu! Jiujiu! Jiujiu!”
“I’m right here, you little beast.”
“Jiujiu! Snek!”
“‘Snek’...? Jin Ling, Zidian is not a toy.”
“Snek!” he shrieks. Sect Leader Jiang looks so inhumanly aggrieved that Lan Xichen raises his sleeve to hide his own laughter, and when he glances at Jin Guangyao, he sees a rare moment of honest fondness as his wife wraps her arms around her very large belly and laughs herself nearly to tears.
“Clearly there’s a demanding little beast here who needs attention. Excuse me, Madam Jin,” says Sect Leader Jiang, and he tips Jin Ling over backwards while keeping a firm grip on the boy’s legs. Jin Ling shrieks again with laughter.
