Necromantia Greece Photos of the two members named The Magus, and Baron Blood, alongside the cover for their 1995 LP, "Scarlet Evil Witching Black" Instead of the usual 6-string guitar, Necromantia favored the 8-string bass instead, creating a very original sound to separate them from the rest of the rising 2nd wave black metal scene of the early 90s. This album uses a good deal of synths, and is considered a classic of the sympho-black genre.

ASTARTE, Greek Black/Death metal band, are set to release their highly anticipated new EP soon. This release marks the return of the first female Black Metal band in many years.

This EP features a new song titled "THE CROSS," which includes a collaboration with Krister "Morfeus" Dreyer from Limbonic Art.

Additionally, the album will include a cover of the extreme metal legends Celtic Frost's track "THE SORROWS OF THE MOON," featuring NICOLAS MAIIS of Lloth.

Fans of Astarte can anticipate a powerful and ominous musical journey, similar to the band's previous work.

I insist on promoting Kawir's album "To Cavirs". It's still such a "magical" pagan black metal record, certainly compelled me this morning.

A pillar in the Greek black metal scene at the time, Rotting Christ put out a lengthy string of high quality throughout the mid 90s, putting extremely catchy melodies into each and every song they wrote.

They should not be counted out for their lack of brutality.
