Shahnajaf Imambara :: This white domed mausoleum was constructed by Nawab Ghazi-ud-din Haider, the last nawab wazir and the first King of the state of Awadh in 1816 - 1817. It is situated on the bank of the #GomtiRiver near #Sikanderbagh and is a replica of Hazrat Ali's burial at Najaf in Iraq. The silver tomb of Ghazi-ud-din Haider lies in the centre of this building and his three wives are also buried here. It is flanked by the more imposing silver and gold tomb of Mubarak Mahal on one side. Amongst the Nawabs of Awadh, it was the sixth Nawab, Saadat Ali Khan (1798-1814) who proved to be the most efficient in the administration and collection of revenue through the Amani system, introduced by him. He was also the first to set up a royal treasury with a reserve fund, to which he left a sum of fourteen crores at the time of his untimely death, despite his love for horses and construction and purchase of palatial buildings. Some historians believe that his intention of amassing such large wealth was to buy back the territories taken away from him by the British, that earlier formed part of the Nawabi rule in Awadh. One narration asserts that it was the frustration of the British, in not being able to win him over for their financial devices, that the Resident conspired with the unfaithful servants of the Nawab to get him poisoned, resulting in his death on July 12, 1814. गोमय दिवाली में गोबर के दिए से जगमग होगा गोमती तट

��खनऊ : चीन से चल रहे सीमा विवाद के बाद से देश में चीनी सामान के बहिस्कार के बाद से सरकार ने जहाँ मिटटी दी दिए जलने का आग्रह किया तो वही उत्तर प्रदेश की राजधानी में नगर निगम के कान्हा उपवन की गायों के गोबर के बने एक एक लाख दीयों से शुक्रवार को गोमती का झूलेघाट रोशन होगा। गौरतलब है कि छोटी दिवाली पर इस बार राजधानी में गोमय दीपावली मनाई जाएगी जिसमे पहली बार गोबर से बने दिए जलाये जायेंगे । अब तक शहरवासी 50 हजार से अधिक गोबर के दीये निगम से खरीद चुके हैं। साथ ही गोबर से बनी लक्ष्मी गणेश की मूर्तियां भी बेची जा रही हैं।

नगर आयुक्त अजय द्विवेदी ने बताया कि इन दीपों के जरिए लक्ष्मी-गणेश, नगर निगम व अन्य शब्द रेखांकित किये जाएंगे। बहुत से लोगों को यह आशंका है कि गोबर के दीये हैं तो यह खुद भी जल सकते हैं, लेकिन ऐसा नहीं है। इन दीयों में 20 प्रतिशत मिट्टी भी है। पर्यावरण संरक्षण को बढ़ावा देने के लिए शुरू किए गए इस प्रयास से स्वयं सहायता समूह की करीब 500 महिलाओं को रोजगार भी मिला है।

घर बैठे मंगा सकते हैं गोबर के दीये

नगर आयुक्त ने बताया कि शहरवासी घर बैठे ऑनलाइन या कॉल करके दीये मंगवा सकते हैं। निगम के स्वच्छता चैंपियंस उनको घर पर पहुंचाने का काम कर रहे हैं। रोजाना करीब 50 हजार दीये निगम तैयार कर सकता है। प्रमुख बाजार और मॉल में भी गोमय दीप उपलब्ध हैं। ट्विटर एवं फेसबुक से मार्केटिंग की गई है। यह दीये ऑनलाइन विक्रय हेतु उपलब्ध हैं।

खास बात यह है कि कोरोना को देखते हुए नगर निगम ने दिए बेचने के लिए के टोल फ्री नंबर की सेवा की है जिसमे माध्यम से सभी को दिए उपलब्ध कराये जा सके | इसके लिए निगम ने कंट्रोल रूम 0522-2307783, 82, 70, 6389300137, 138, 139 पर कॉल कर ऑर्डर बुक कराये जा सकते हैं। अब तक करीब 50 हजार दीप विक्रय किये जा चुके हैं। इसके अलावा 6,500 गोमय दीप तथा 300 गोमय लक्ष्मी-गणेश की मूर्तियों के ऑनलाइन ऑर्डर मिल चुके हैं।
