seeing 12 year olds on tiktok saying “our generation isn’t growing up too quickly! we still have awkward phases, they just happen when we’re 7-10 years old!”

#inspired by a real comment i saw on tiktok #honestly seeing how young these kids are being forced to grow up just makes me sad #and they think it’s a personal attack on their generation when no one means it that way!#nobody is mad at kids/preteens for wanting to fit in #*everyone* wants to fit in at that age #we’re mad at society for making kids want to follow the same trends as grown adults #at that age i wanted to fit in with my peers and follow trends set by my fav youtubers #now kids are being exposed to EVERY trend that is fed to you during 10 mins of scrolling on tiktok #genuinely think tiktok is gonna have serious psychological effects on future generations #like ppl on social media have been saying ‘we were never meant to hear this many people’s thoughts’ for YEARS #tiktok is doing irreparable damage to our society #will still use it tho lol #anyways this is a rant and idk how to tag this properly #social issues #social media #tiktok #mia's rambles
