TOUCH
ogata.fem.reader drabble
PLIABLE wasn't the proper term to accentuate his hands: they weren't soft, weren't warm and neither were they a familiar ire when touch blossoms upon.
"Spring comes and goes." You said once.
Under the shade, you stood with the corners of your lips, then, plush cheeks curling into a smile. The flares of sunlight spools through the crack of the foliage, and a ray glinted your eyes. Brightly, your irises flickers.
"But it leaves an unforgettable trail in it's wake."
Now, your eyes pulsed with dissent. No longer was there the genial mien, you upholstered. And, as his fingers curls around your neck, clamping down on the flesh, his sleeves pull taut in tandem of your struggle. Nails dig through the layered uniform — then, a light tap against his skin.
"Traitor." A hiss seethes through. You wracked a cough, grunting from the weight of his body above. "You're a damned traitor, Ogata."
Below, the snow bites into your skin. He leans forward and the crook of his nose brushes against your neck.
"Oh? Tell me something I don't know, rabbit."

11. things you said when you were drunk
I drowsily sat up. My mouth was dry, my eyes stung, and my brain was pounding a dull beat against my skull. “Great,” I thought. This is just what I needed, a hangover. I stretched slowly, my muscles aching, and I sat up straighter trying to comprehend where I really was.
The kitchen.
Of course I’d fallen asleep, face down at the kitchen table. I looked at the shot glass and the half empty bottle of vodka and groaned. I needed to rid my house of alcohol one of these days. I grabbed the glass and the bottle, putting the glass in the sink and the bottle in the cupboard. I rubbed my eyes and swept my bangs back out of my eyes. My eyes settled on the fridge and I walked over, opening it and grabbing the milk.
The fastest way to kill this hangover would be to shower or eat. And since my drowsy was way too tired to trek it up the stairs, I would settle for a cold bowl of cereal. While pouring the milk, I found my spoon and set it down at the table, then went and found the box of cereal.
While doing so, the bell went off, making me groan even louder than before.
“For fuck’s sake…” I murmured, setting the box down and walking over to the front door, ready to yell.
But upon throwing it back, the anger immediately melted from my heart and I felt a mind numbing relief spread over me. A smile fixed onto my lips and I felt a warm dizziness move through me.
“Charlie…” I breathed out.“You going to let me in? Or… Should I just go?” She rocked back and forth on her heels and smiled at me. “You have bad timing…” I mumbled, turning away and walking back to the kitchen. I heard her walk in and shut the door, kicking her shoes off. “How so?”“You picked the worst possible time to show up.”“What’re you talking about? My decisions are flawless. I’m nothing less than perfect.” She grinned at me.“Right…” I snorted, sitting back down, but silently agreeing.“Someone’s in a mood.” She hummed and sat across from me, smirking.“Yeah well, you would be too if you’d gotten drunk and fallen asleep at the table.” I said while shaking some cereal into the milk.
I dropped the spoon into the bowl and began to slowly eat; I didn’t want to risk throwing up if I ate too fast. I looked up at her and she gave me a look like I wasn’t catching on.
“What?” I said through half a mouth full of cereal. “You shouldn’t talk with your mouth full.” She scrunched her nose and frowned at me. Balling up the tissue next to me, I threw it at her, “Sue me.”“I would if I could-”“But I’m too cute?” I winked.“You wish.” She mumbled, shaking her head and smiling.“Hey! I am adorable.” I pouted.“Not as cute as I am though.” “True.” I shrugged as she blushed and frowned, throwing the tissue back at me.“Shut up…” “Just telling you the truth, nerd.”
She laughed and the sound made my heart jump to my throat. I looked at her, as she shook her head and pulled her phone out.
“Why’d you come over?” “Just wanted to see you. Check up on you.”“Why?” I asked, lowering my spoon.“After last night, I was kinda worried.” Her eyes flashed up at me mischievously and I felt my heart drop to the pit of my stomach.“What’re you talking about?”
She took a moment to respond, as she looked for something on her phone, and then began to read.
“Charlie…” She read out in a voice that sounded too high pitched, and nothing like mine, “You’re so cute… I love you so much. Did ya know that? I love you so much!”
I stood, horrified, fixed to the spot. My cheeks were burning hot and I grasped onto the edge of the table, feeling my knees buckle.
“Charlie… Let me see.” I mumbled. She stood up and backed away slowly, continuing to read, “You’re actually the cutest lil button! I just wanna give you the biggest hug ever!”
I tried to chase her but that was a short lived attempt. We ran around my living room, as she kept reading, breathless with laughter. I eventually managed to rip the phone from her hand and scroll through the numerous texts that I’d sent last night. I groaned and ran a hand through my hair, hating myself even more than before. She, on the other hand, was on the floor, tears trailing down her face from laughter. She looked up at me and stuck out her tongue.
“It was cute.” She grinned.“Yeah… Okay…” I forced a smile.“C’mon Peach… You and I both know this isn’t the first time or the last time you’re going to do that. And I happen to think it’s pretty cute.”
She held her hand out and I grasped it, about to pull her up, but she instead pulled me down onto the carpeted ground and I yelped, falling down next to her. She was in another round of laughter and giggles, and I resigned myself to just be happy that she was. She rolled over and looked at me, smiling brightly, causing butterflies to fill my stomach. I smiled, shyly, and gave her a warm look.
“What?”“You’re just… Adorable…” I smiled.“Shut up…” She mumbled looking away.“Hey, I’m serious…”“Thank you.”
We lapsed into a quiet silence and lay there, just thinking and slowly, a slight sleepiness began to lull over me. But her voice broke through the quietness and I drowsily looked over.
“Did you mean it?”“Mean what?” I asked, frowning slightly.“Last night…” She suddenly looked down at her hands and fidgeted with them, “Last night you said I was really important to you. Did you mean it?”
My eyes widened and I smiled, nodding. I pulled her into my arms and buried my face into the crook of her neck, feeling my heart beat harder.
“Of course I meant it. I love you…” I murmured softly.
I felt her arms tighten around me, and I couldn’t help the smile that melted my features.
