I wanted to share with you another up cycled style of art I am making. These are my renditions of Caged Santos. The other Santos is called “Angel de Cafe” Coffee Angel She was made from a “Chorreador”which is a pour over coffee maker from Costa Rica. She stands 23 in tall. I learned about Caged Santos from my dear artists friends Georgina Diaz & Pamela Enriquez. These are available and ready for sale. The Santos dolls take their name from the Spanish word for Saint, and are also known as Santons (French) and Santibelli (Italian). The Santos that started the genre of dolls we currently represent (primarily Spanish Colonial and Western European style), were originally started as copies of 17th century carvings by priests.
