My Fancast/Dreamcast: The Empyrean Series by Rebecca Yarros
Image off my bookstagram: @goodyreads Hello Queen! I’m back with another fancast of mine to share of what is probably the book of the summer: Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros! I’d known about this book way before it was released, but WOW it is actually insane to see how much this book has blown up since it’s release date on May 2nd. It’s literally blown up the bookish community and taken over,…

It seems y’all, for some bizarre reason, find it abundantly difficult to find a Xaden who isn’t white so here, I bring you options. Quit with Matt Daddario please. He made a great Alec but Xaden is canonically a moc. It’s like y’all are allergic to melanin.

Fan-Casting You As My Favorites
Tumblr media
As an avid reader and movie geek, there's always a point in time when I cast my favorite actor/actress as a character. It's just inevitable to do. And recently, I have imagined Taylor Zakhar Perez as many characters he can play in the future from books and animated movies alike.
Those listed below is just the most popular ones I have casted him as. Also note that other than the first one, the last three are just my personal fan-casts. So without further ado, here's the first one and by far the most popular one even TZP himself knows about this.
First Fan-Cast: Taylor Zakhar Perez as Flynn Rider (Eugene Fitzherbert) in the upcoming live-action Tangled.
Tumblr media
(Photos credits to London Fashion Week on Twitter/X and Disney)
I mean, what else can I say? As a Disney fan since the age of 3, I approve of this fancast. Like it's going to be so good to see Taylor play a scoundrel turned prince. Something like Han Solo vibes. He's got the looks, the voice (I'm also manifesting a solo song for him considering that the other princes in the other live-action remakes get a solo song).
To note at a lot of people also had a crush on Flynn Rider so why not cast one of the most handsome men alive to play him. I will definitely be seated for this movie if ever he is casted.
I also want to mention I have a lot of people whom I want to play Rapunzel (Florence Pugh, Sabrina Carpenter and Dove Cameron are among my candidates) but there's only one Flynn Rider for me and that is Taylor Zakhar Perez.
Here's a link to mycast.io where people can vote on their faves about a role: TZP as Flynn Rider Fancast. Good to see that TZP is the top choice for the role, as he should be.
Onto the next roles....I would again like to reiterate that these are just my personal fan-casts, especially as of recent times, when TZP decided to emotionally kill me by wearing all-black ensembles.
Second Fan-Cast: Taylor Zakhar Perez as Rhysand, the High Lord of the Night Court
Tumblr media
(Photo credits from TZP's Instagram; artwork credits from artworks-by-rokii from Instagram)
Ahhh, my High Lord of the Night Court and the most beautiful man I (and the main character Feyre) have ever seen.
For those who are unfamiliar with Rhysand's character, he is the High Lord of the Night Court in the A Court of Thorns and Roses book series by Sarah J. Maas. Physicality-wise, he is a tanned-tall and chiseled Fae man with black-blue hair and eyes that are so blue that they are the color of violets. Manner-wise, he is kind and is always willing to defend those he loves. He would rather let himself suffer than let his loved ones suffer. He may look so evil at first but once you get to know him, you'll see that underneath that dark exterior is a heart of gold.
Why am I fan-casting TZP as Rhysand, you ask? The answer is simple. Coz I love both of them! Also, I am not the first one to fancast Taylor as Rhysand. I merely saw a tweet and that one tweet was enough to end my fantasies afloat.
Also, to see him play a morally grey character would be a treat. It would be a good opportunity to cast him because Hulu is adapting ACOTAR into a TV series so at this point, I'm just hoping for the best.
He's also one of the many actors that people want to see play Rhysand. TZP as Rhysand fan-cast.
Third Fan-Cast: Taylor Zakhar Perez as Azriel from A Court of Mist and Fury
Tumblr media
(TZP Photo from Pinterest; Artwork credits by artworks-by-rokii on Instagram)
Another character from the ACOTAR series. Azriel is one of my most favorite characters in the story. Physicality, he is also tall and has black wings protruding from his back. Azriel is also known to be one of Rhysand's best friends. He is still a mysterious character to me and I have yet to read a book where he is the central character.
Getting Taylor to play a mysterious character like Azriel would be a joy because you will spend the whole time figuring out his goals.
I would also like to be honest here and say that TZP is not the first choice to play Azriel but I'm okay with that because Matthew Daddario is the main choice to play Azriel. Matt is also one of my favorite actors because of his amazing portrayal of Alec Lightwood in Shadowhunters.
This is the last of the fan-casts for the ACOTAR series but I would like to share another one.
Fourth Fan-Cast: Taylor Zakhar Perez as Xaden Riorson from Fourth Wing.
Tumblr media
(TZP photo credits to Mekhi Turner; Artwork credits from booknuts_ on Instagram)
Xaden Riorson. One of the most exquisite men I (and Violet Sorrengail) have ever seen.
For those who are unaware, Xaden is the wingleader of the Fourth Wing. He has a dragon named Sgaeyl and is Violet's love interest. He is handsome and has dark eyes and dark hair.
I personally consider Xaden as the "Rhysand" of the Fourth Wing series but considering that the second book just came out, I'm a little scared for his future.
Similar to Rhysand, I'm not the first to cast TZP as Xaden because the media platform enews posted a TikTok not long ago that Taylor is their dream guy to play Xaden. Personally, I'm not mad about that because knowing that Taylor is a big fan of Harry Potter and this series has a Harry Potter mixed with Hunger Games vibe to it, so playing Xaden would be like entering a Harry Potter-esque world.
Taylor is one of the many actors people want as Xaden and here's a link for further proof: TZP as Xaden Riorson.
A Conclusion of a Fantasy
I'm a lover of the fantasy genre and these characters are just a selected few that are honestly, my personal favorites. I love these characters and to see Taylor play one of them in the future is a dream to see unfold on the big screen. Of course, I have also fan-casted him as some Marvel superheroes here and there and some rich billionaire CEO. My fancasts is honestly endless.
Feel free to share who you fan-casted Taylor as because now that the strike is over, productions are back in full swing. I would love to see TZP as any character and I would love for him to explore characters and genres. I will be watching every movie and series that will come out. That's a promise.

Fourth Wing Men HCs: nicknames for him
Includes: Bodhi Durran, Garrick Tavis
A/n: I haven’t wrote some headcannons in a HOT minute, but me and @garricks4thwingqueen have been conspiring and inspired me to take a whack at it again. These got a smidge long, so I will make a part 2 with more characters, and other scenarios, but you know who had to start with! I also included some AI pics I’ve been cooked up that are mashes of my fancasts ideas for the characters. I have the hardest times visualizing a lot of characters and places in stories and sometimes the AIs I’ve seen all look alike or aren’t itching the right part of my brain. Disclaimer: I tried to take into consideration book accuracy, but AI is AI and I only dabble w it on my phone. So I’ll take what I can get. Skin tones, hair, proportions may not be perfect. These just personally help get a better concept, and I find fun to make, and anddd risking forgetting about a free 7 day trail from time to time 🕳️🤸‍♀️ *muah* enjoy!
Warnings: swearing, underage drinking/smoking (if u squint), suggestive content

Bodhi Durran
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bo/Boh, beau, bowie, Bo Bo, babe, love
Xaden and him are maternal cousins. While the firstborn always had the weight of responsibility growing up being an heir by his parents. The younger cousin was always ‘coddled’ by his. Though he adored his family, he hated how they always doted on him. Mainly because of how much his older cousin and his best friend would tease him about it.
Xaden and Garrick started cooing “Bowie” and “Bo Bo” at him when they were 12, he was 11.
“Bowie, don’t forget to write to me.” “Bowie, be good for your uncle.” “Oh Bo Bo don’t you look so handsome today!” They’d snicker to him under their breaths when he’d arrive at the fortress when his mom would drop him before flying out to an outpost. Watching how his cheeks flushed red, and he had tight balled fists pressed at his sides.
Once the doors closed, after formal introductions with his Uncle and lingering personal staff were done, and once the adults a room away—he would hurl one of his clenched fists at their shoulders.
Starting a playful brawl amongst the three
Spoiler alert: Bo Bo back then lost once or twice…maybe a handful of times
Then as awkward teenagers when problems were simpler the three of the pubescent boys discovered churam and drinking. Bodhi started unironically calling himself Bo Bo and Bowie, mockingly teasing himself as a ‘bit’.
The young men were sat around a fire in the clearing to the outside of Riorson House. Xaden and Garrick in a heated debate over a petty topic. “Bo Bo can’t comprehend what’s going on right now.” He would say, exaggerating and scratching his the top of his head. It had been effective for the most part to ease the tension between his friends
Now from time to time, he’ll still do it especially if you’re present. He always thought you looked cute as you shook your head with a crooked smile spread across your face when he did it
Sometimes fhd guys would find him doing something badass, you’ll hear triumphant whooping from Xaden and Garrick, endearingly using the nicknames they called him as a child
“Go Bowie!” “Bo Bo that was fucking awesome!” “Bowie! Bowie! Bowie!”
But if anyone else besides the select few called him those names, he’d glare daggers at them. Like the time Ridoc tried to call him Bo Bo during lunch while the group was joking around
Bodhi’s boyish grin disappeared instantaneously. “If you ever call me that, I will rip your tongue out.”
The first time he heard you call him Bowie tho, he nearly melted. It was one of the first times you slept over with him and he had to get up early for a leadership meeting
You propped up on elbow, using your other hand to wipe the sleep from your eyes. “Do you have to go, Bowie?” A small pout on your lips watching him get dressed
His other pet names from you were selective, usually just calling him Bo/Boh, but your favorites were Babe and Love
Babe being the one you leaned towards the most
especially when you would catch him doing something ridiculous or he’d press your buttons. Or just when you wanted something
“Babe? Are you kidding me?” “Babe stop!”
“Babe can you get me another drink, please?” You asked, looking up from your lashes with puppy dog eyes. He folded every time no matter if you were closer to the serving station or bar. How could he say no when you gave him that look? Not caring, flipping all his friends off as they’d give him knowing smiles.
He was a simp for you
Love was usually reserved for tender moments with him. When you’d notice he’d be having a bad day, or to calm him down when you’d notice he was fuming silently beside you at something going on
Intertwining your fingers with his giving a reassuring squeeze. “It’s alright, Love.”
Or holding his cheeks, bringing him to eye level with you. “I’m here, Love. Can you take a couple deep breaths for me?”
Sometimes you broke out the corny double entendre of beau. Very select people would get it, but you thought it was great
Mainly you’d be out to the taverns with your friends when you’d use it. Usually when a girl would approach him, and you’d try to hide your jealousy tho it was plain as day
“He’s actually my beau.” You’d say, a sinisterly sweet smile on your face when a girl tried to introduce herself. Your hand twirling the curls at the nape of his neck. Bodhi would always shiver from the gesture, trying to contain his arousal at your possessiveness
Then later in the night, he’d pin you to the wall of his room. Pressing feverish kisses up the column of your throat. “Are you gonna show me all the way I’m your beau?” He muttered before grazing the delicate skin with his teeth
Garrick Tavis
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gare, Tavis, Gary, Gare Bear, Hon/Honey, Sir
His parents tried to call him Gary at one point growing up, but he always ignored them or begged them not to call him that. It always sounded so stupid to him
Garrick was blunt, dry, and straight to the point not caring for nicknames. Only really preferring to be called by his name or Gare on occasion by his friends and acquaintances. His last name an even better alternative than a nickname
But Xaden, Imogen, and Bodhi took a sick pleasure in all the creative corny nicknames his parents would try to make a thing for him growing up.
“I think we oughta get Gary’s input?” Imogen leaned her chin in her hand as they all discussed weekend plans after school looking over at the towering young man. The side of her mouth crookedly lilting upward, knowing she struck a nerve. Garrick could already feel his eye twitch, clenching his quill as he acted like he hadn’t heard them a few feet away at the table in the library.
“It seems Gare Bear’s not in the mood today.” Xaden would casually lean back in his chair, smirking, and watching his best friend stroll into the dining room late for dinner time after a terrible day
Which would result in Garrick walking by, and tipping his chair back causing the Riorson to flail and fall backwards. “Relax asshole,” Xaden hissed, rubbing his head.
To this day they still called him the silly names. Taking immense pride when you had picked up on the memo, and started to call Garrick the names he despised. Especially because you two weren’t each others favorite people at first
The first time it happened, it was when Garrick pissed you off. He had been criticizing all your sparring movements, and you had enough. “Sorry we can’t all be perfect like you, Gare Bear.” You’d sneer, watching the irritation form on his face.
“Do not call me that.” He’d glower, but you’d just smile brightly. “Whatever you say…Gare Bear.”
Seeing how it got under his skin, from that moment on you’d always call him just to pester him. Enjoying the glare he’d shoot your way or awaiting for whatever witty remark he’d reply
Eventually once you two started getting along, you called him his first name, being more considerate towards his feelings. Garrick’s chest filling with disappointment as he awaited the usual Gare Bear falling from your pretty lips.
“Hey Garrick,” it was a rare moment when you found him by himself. None of your mutual friends around for once, and one of the first interactions you had alone. “What?” He looked up from what he doing. “I said hey?” You gave him a weird look. “But you called me Garrick.” He said in disbelief. “That’s your name isn’t it?” “You always call me Gare Bear tho.”
That’s when you realized he secretly liked it despite him trying to act annoyed at you.
Then when you had officially started dating, he had to get used to fact you loved calling him all these terms of endearment. Deep down, loving how you could make him become bashful by your words
“Here you go, Honey.” Leaning down, kissing his cheek, setting down a dish of apple crisp in front of him. You knew how much he liked the dessert and grabbed an extra one when getting your dinner. Garrick’s cheeks tinged red and chuckled appreciatively, “you’re the best.” His friends just silently stared as if you two had three heads. “What’s the matter?” You asked the group unphased, taking a seat. “You broke him.” Imogen replied in awe.
You had changed his perception on being called nicknames. Even letting it slide when his friends poked fun at him with the once despicable nicknames
Out of all the nicknames you called him, his favorite by far was the one you’d use in the bedroom.
“Please,” you begged, while sitting on your knees. “Please what?” Garrick gripped your chin between his thumb and forefinger. You gulped, “please Sir.” A cruel smirk on his face, pressing a small kiss to your lips. “Good girl.”

Five at the back, Dier starts: The Spurs XI Mourinho should select vs Man City - opinion
Tottenham Hotspur face Manchester City this weekend in a difficult game in the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho’s men still harbour ambitions of qualifying for the Champions League but sit six points behind Frank Lampard’s Chelsea in fourth.
City have been in excellent form, not losing any of their last five games, and are currently the nearest challengers to league leaders Liverpool, even if they do sit a staggering 16 points behind Jurgen Klopp’s men.
This weekend, then, they are unlikely to be feeling generous; Spurs will have to turn up and be at their very best if they are to take all three points.
Football FanCast has taken a look at the team that Mourinho should select.
Tumblr media
Hugo Lloris is back and is the No.1 goalkeeper so he will surely play between the sticks.
Given the threat posed by this City side and the various ways that they can hurt Spurs, shifting the formation to five-at-the-back, including two wing-backs, makes logical sense. In possession, they will essentially be playing 3-4-3; out of it, they will be playing what is a 5-4-1.
In defence, then, Serge Aurier needs to play on the right given his love of bombing up and down the flank, with Ryan Sessegnon on the left. It is a tall order for the ex-Fulham man to play in the role but he has the attributes required and one must consider the possibility of Danny Rose’s departure in this transfer window.
Money talks: How much did Levy pay for each of these Spurs stars?
Thus, in defence, they can utilise a centre-back trio of Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Japhet Tanganga. The latter has made a real impression in recent weeks, playing 90 minutes against both Liverpool and Watford, while the two Belgians have long been a partnership.
In midfield, the selection is more difficult. Eric Dier has to play as the recognised defensive midfielder that will surely be necessary against City and pairing him with one of Giovani Lo Celso, Harry Winks or Tanguy Ndombele makes the most sense.
Lo Celso has been in excellent form and drew praise from Mourinho after the FA Cup tie with Southampton – Spurs actually signed him on a permanent basis on Tuesday – and so he ought to play but he is a more forward-thinking midfield player, so stationing him on the right flank feels like a solid defensive decision, thus allowing Winks to partner Dier.
Ndombele has been on the bench for Spurs’ last two outings and there is a natural question mark over his fitness.
That leaves Son Heung-Min to play on the left flank with Lucas Moura through the middle.
While the Brazilian has not scored in the league since December, he is the natural option and is also full of running both defensively and offensively.
There remains hope at the club that Krzysztof Piatek can be signed from AC Milan this month, per sources, and if that deal is pulled off, expect the Poland international to make his debut instead.
Steven Bergwijn, too, is set to join the club from PSV Eindhoven but it feels a gamble to throw him in at the deep end against the Premier League champions; if he is in the squad, he is likely to be on the bench.
Meanwhile, sources have given FFC the lowdown on Spurs’ striker hunt!

Spurs' summer signing remains a puzzle for Pochettino with no obvious solution - opinion
This article is part of Football FanCast’s Opinion series, which provides analysis, insight and opinion on any issue within the beautiful game, from Paul Pogba’s haircuts to League Two relegation battles…
Tottenham Hotspur have a problem on their hands.
Well, they have several when one considers their league form, but one that has gone unnoticed is the puzzle handed to manager Mauricio Pochettino by Ryan Sessegnon.
Signed for £25m in the summer from Fulham, he simply hasn’t had a chance to show his worth.
That has mostly been down to a hamstring injury that unfortunately ruled him out of the first 10 games of the Premier League season and he has since played twice – coming on as a substitute in injury time versus Everton and then playing 15 minutes against Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League.
That latter appearance is instructive too. He replaced Son Heung-Min in that game, meaning he was deployed as a left winger, and he subsequently registered an assist, laying on the pass from which Christian Eriksen scored his side’s fourth goal.
But is he likely to get much playing time on the left wing?
Son is the starter in that position, playing there eight times already this season and 18 times last season. When he was shifted into a centre-forward role, Spurs adapted their formation to regularly utilise a narrow 4-4-2 diamond, as seen against Barcelona and Ajax in the Champions League.
There is an obvious problem with that: Sessegnon can’t play central midfield or centre-forward.
Now, the argument could be made that he could play at left-back and that is certainly true, but it is one area of the squad where Spurs actually have decent depth.
Not only is Danny Rose still trusted by his manager, but Ben Davies is also an international calibre full-back, too, having won 48 caps for Wales.
It is difficult, thus, to see where Sessegnon’s opportunity is going to come from.
Spurs are currently in poor form and haven’t won in the Premier League since September. They last won on the road against Fulham, in January, in a game in which Sessegnon came on as a substitute for the hosts.
Mauricio Pochettino, then, has to continue to pick his best team as he looks to arrest this slump.
At this point, that means Son plays on the left wing and one of Rose or Davies plays at full-back.
Sessegnon, it must be said, is young and he has time on his side but at this point, he may well be left waiting for the FA Cup to roll around – or for a player to pick up an injury – before he actually gets 90 minutes under his belt.
That cannot be good for his development, nor for his chances of staking a claim to start on a regular basis.

Coveted option: Chelsea's £2.25m-rated transfer target would be an intriguing addition - opinion
This article is part of Football FanCast’s Transfer Focus series, which provides opinion and analysis on recent transfer news…
According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Chelsea are interested in signing Emanuel Vignato from Serie B side Chievo Verona.
What’s the story?
Although the Blues are unable to sign any new players as it currently stands due to a transfer ban, they are in the process of appealing the sanction in the hope of having it reduced. As such, they could be in a position to bring in fresh recruits as soon as January.
It isn’t specified whether the Stamford Bridge outfit are looking at Vignato for the next transfer window or in the summer, but either way, they are said to have sent a scout to watch the 19-year-old in action against Salernitana. Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Inter Milan are also said to be in pursuit.
What do we know about him?
We forgive you if the right-winger is an unfamiliar name. After all, he is just embarking on his career and has played only 12 times in Serie A so far. However, he clearly has something to him given the interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Who has been the most improved player in the EPL this season? Find out in the video below…
In Italy’s top tier last term, he grabbed one goal and one assist in eight starts in a side that struggled as they were relegated to the second tier. He averaged 1.1 key passes per game – the fourth-most in the whole team – whilst only Sofian Kiyine managed more than his 1.1 dribbles.
Watch Chelsea Live Streams With StreamFootball.tv Below
He has been prolific for the club’s various youth sides, scoring 33 goals in 78 matches as he worked his way up through the ranks. He has also featured regularly for the Azzurri’s youth teams as well, appearing for the U17s, U18s, U19s and now the U20s.
What makes him an attractive proposition at this moment is his contract situation. He has less than a year left on his current deal with the Italian side, which means he could be signed on a pre-contract agreement as soon as January.
He is currently valued at £2.25m by Transfermarkt as well so, even if he were to sign a new deal with his employers, he would likely not break the bank. Considering Frank Lampard’s youth policy this term – as the progress of Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori has proven – he could be an interesting addition on the wing.
