Sneak Peeks 1/?

Fic: prepare a throne of stars above me

Chapter: 8

Kyoko finds Tsuna next to the river, sitting in the grass and staring pensively into the water. He turns to smile in greeting when she gets close, and she returns it, carefully tucking her skirt beneath her as she sits on the ground next to him.

"Gokudera-kun was looking for you," she tells him, tilting her head up to look at the orange-hued afternoon sky.

She had gone to Tsuna's to share the recovery of her injury and to hopefully return to training and had instead found a frantic Gokudera arguing with Haru and Yamamoto about Tsuna's whereabouts. Or more specifically, about whether or not he should track him down.

Haru had been against it.

"If Tsuna-kun wants some space from us, then Haru thinks we should respect that!" She had insisted.

Gokudera had, of course, wanted to go after him.

"How do you know he wants space?! Did he tell you that?!" He had countered, jealous and irritated in turn.

And as always, Yamamoto had attempted to mediate(?) to ill effect.

"Whoa! You're acting like his ex-lovers or something, haha."

Haru and Gokudera had then turned to him in unison and shouted, "Shut up!"

Although she had agreed with Haru, Kyoko had made the executive decision to retreat lest she be caught up in another circular argument. Most of the time, it didn't matter what Haru and Gokudera were fighting about; they could go on bickering forever anyway. Not having been raised a fool, Kyoko had left quietly. Ironically, she had then spotted Tsuna on her way back home.
