I understand wanting things to be resolved right away but like it or not if you’ve been friends with someone for years and it’s revealed they’re a terrible person you’re going to need some time to process that and come to terms with it before you can make any sort of statement. Especially given that there may be a legal component involved as well as the general online landscape right now. I’m not saying this to defend anyone I’m saying this because I’m seeing a pattern where we need an answer right away no matter what and nobody is actually considering the people who are directly and personally impacted by this.
