henry co-founded fazbears with william and helped make the original animatronics . he had a daughter [charlotte "charlie" emily] that was killed by william after being locked outside of fredbear's diner , seen in take cake to the children [fnaf 2 minigame] and security puppet's minigame [fnaf 6] . The puppet [an animatronic] found his daughter outside after she was killed and layed down next to her , deactivating in the process because it was raining , letting her possess it .

hes theorized to be the desk man from fnaf world , a secret character that says alot of things but the only rly important stuff is from the circus baby ending . Image of the desk guy bellow

in the circus baby ending , he talks about how hes made something terrible and he cant stop it . and then the lights go out , circus baby[the animatronic that killed elizabeth afton , williams daughter]'s voice says "the show will begin momentarily . everyone please stay in your seats" and when the lights come back on henrys head is on his desk and blood pools around his head . Me personally i think the desk man is him but its . Kinda weird with the ending because he dies in pizzeria sim . But i like thinking that so im ignoring how much that doesnt make sense

In pizzeria simulator , hes the cassette man that tells michael stuff throughout the game . tbh i havent payed that much attention to pizzaria sim but im insane abt the completion ending so im talking abt that

in the completion ending , scrap baby [circus baby but all fucked up] , scraptrap [that one ugly ass springtrap redesign] , and michael afton are all inside the building . henry sets the building on fire and starts talking over a cassette . His monologue is split up into parts directed towards different people in the building .

Elizabeth/scrap baby/everyone: he apologizes for interupting elizabeth ["if you still even remember that name"] , and says they havent been called here for what they think , and theyre in a "labyrinth with no exit , a maze with no prize" . "always chasing the cries of children in some unseen chamber , always seeming so near yet always out of reach . but you will never find them . None of you will ." chat im normal

michael: he tells michael there was a way out , but he thinks thats not what he wants and hes exactly where he wants to be . henry says hes remaining nearby and the place wont be remembered , itll fade away like every tradgedy should .

everyone: he says theres peace waiting for most of them , but for one of them [william/scraptrap] the deepest pit of hell has opened waiting to swallow him whole ."so dont keep the devil waiting , old friend" old friend a gayass thing to call someone 🤣

charlie [his daughter]: he says he knew she wouldnt be content to die and its in her nature to protect the innocent , he apologizes for nobody being out there to save her and "i couldnt save you then , do let me save you now" .

he ends it with "this ends. For you and for all of us" and the tape ends . they all die in the fire together and its implied henry died in it too ? man all we know is how he died was a suicide of some sort . normal about the afton's fire motifs aaaaannddddd hit post

okay; My Take on the Five Nights at Freddy's Timeline that No One Asked For

disclaimers:

I've only played fnaf 1,2, and Help Wanted but i have watched lets plays on all of the other canon games so im qualified (I've also watched a lot of Game Theory on the topic)

I havent read the books and i dont care about the books, I've heard of something called remnant and William trying to become immortal through the child murder; I've not seen anything about this in game so I'm assuming it's from the books and i will be ignoring it

I really love the Squimpus Mcgrimpus series and i will be pulling from it a lot

If I don’t address it; I probably don’t know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

From what I’ve construed the general timeline should go Fnaf 4 > Unknown Freddy Fazbear's location > Sister Location audio clips > Fnaf 2 > Fnaf 1 >Fnaf 3 minigames > Fnaf 3 > Sister Location > Sister Location Minigames > Pizzaria Simulator > Help Wanted > Security Breach

edit: okay thats it Help Wanted and Security Breach are non canon now

Fnaf 4

This is honestly the most straightforward one

The Bite of '83 — Joesph/Evan/ Crying Child Afton, youngest son of William Afton (co owner of Fredbear's Family Diner) gets just a little to close to Fredbear, and in a prank gone wrong, his skull is crushed by the animatronic bear's jaws.

Up for debate how the animatronic was able to do this to begin with but i digress

The gameplay follows Joesph's nightmares in his final days

Joseph's spirit goes on to inhabit the Fredbear/Golden Freddy springlock animatronic

Fredbear's diner closes and sells to Fazbear Entertainment; the restaurant is rebranded to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza

Unknown/Unseen Freddy Fazbear's Location

this one is mainly vibes, and things taken from Squimpus Mcgrimpus

Fazbear Entertainment opens the very first Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, starring Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy from Fredbear Diner ( plushes and masks suggest their existence at Fredbear's despite not showing the actual characters) ; the springlock suits are deemed unsafe, and are kept in the hidden safe room, never to be worn

William founds Afton Robotics to compete with Freddy's

William, still grieving the loss of his youngest son and blaming his eldest for the accident, is angry at his son and the world

William turns his anger outward to other children ("My God, Joseph... Ever since he killed him, I’ve wanted to put my hands around his neck and just squeeze the life out of his lungs, but of course, if I ever did that, I'd get caught." -Sqiumpus Mcgrimpus "Memories")

First death at a Freddy Fazbear's location

Security Puppet minigame in Fnaf Pizzaria Sim and Give Cake in Fnaf 2 depict death

Puppet animatronic created to prevent children from leaving the restaurant without their parents, is trapped in his box and unable to prevent one child from leaving; this child (Henry's daughter) is locked out of the restaurant and killed by William; the Puppet finds her dead in an ally outside, and her spirit goes on to possess the animatronic.

After first kill William progresses to wearing the Spring Bonnie suit to lure children into the hidden back room of the restaurant and kills them there

i.e Fruity Maze; William lures a girl away from an arcade game by telling her that someone (presumably a missing child that he killed) isn't dead and to follow him

More children disappear from the restaurant, three cases of one and one case of 2 for a total of 5 missing children; they are presumed dead but the bodies are never discovered.

A staff member in a mascot costume is seen taking the children to a back room

The puppet animatronic helps the restless spirits of the remaining 4 children to possess Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy.

Parents are reluctant to bring their children to Freddy's after the disappearances, and those who do come complain that the animatronics reek of death and ooze what appears to be blood and mucus.

The hidden saferooms are sealed with the srpinglock animatronics still inside

Freddy Fazbear's Pizza is expected to close within the year

Sister Location Audio Clips

"Daddy, why won't you let me play with her?"

"Daddy, you let the other children go see her! Why won't you let me go?"

"Daddy, just once let me go play with her! She's so pretty and shiny! Didn't you make her just for me?"

"Daddy she can make balloons! Have you seen her make balloons? Oh, daddy let me go to her!"

"Daddy isn't watching."

"Don't tell daddy that I'm here. I've been wanting to watch a show too. I don't know why he won't let me come see you, you're wonderful! Where did the other children go?"

Willam's company creates animatronics Circus Baby, Ballora, Funtime Freddy, and Funtime Foxy to rent out for birthday parties and other events and to perform at Circus Baby Pizza World

These "funtime animatronics" are all built with the purpose of kidnapping killing more children

Baby specifically is outfitted with programming that makes her keep track of how many children are in the room with her; once the number has dropped to one, she lures them over with ice cream only to pull them into her chest cavity with a claw

The first time Baby successfully kills however, it is William's daughter Elizabeth (who he had forbidden from going near Baby, A) that she kills.

Circus Baby Pizza World is closed and the animatronics are switched to rental only

Elizabeth's spirit goes on to possess Baby

Fnaf 2

Years after the closure of the initial Freddy Fazbear's Pizza where the original 5 children disappeared, Fazbear Entertainment tries again with a new and improved cast of characters.

"Jeremey Fitzgerald", believed to be an alias used by Micheal Afton as he continues his investigations into is fathers crimes ( I fully believe that if Micheal had existed as a character when these games were created, this theory would be canon), applies to a new and improved Freddy Fazbear's pizza as a night guard

The new "toy" animatronics have been outfitted with facial recognition software and hooked up to a criminal database in order to prevent any more disappearances, the old animatronics have been dumped in parts and services, and the security puppet is given a new home in the prize corner

Now bear with me here; There are multiple phone calls in Fnaf 2 that hint at another series of child murders in the establishment however, as the toy animatronics never show up again, i will be ignoring this; thank you

Toy animatronics are allowed to walk around and freely interact with guests during the day, but are never given a proper night mode and wander the restaurant at night trying to find the people

The toy animatronic's new facial recognition works a little too well, if allowed to reach the office and seeing Micheal, they register him as his father and react violently

The old animatronics from parts and services remain possessed and out for revenge, it is unclear if they also mistake Micheal for his father or if they just attack out of rage (signs point to rage as they are known to attack other security guards (unlike the toys who only attempted to get into the office but did not harm the previous security guard)

Something goes wrong with the toy animatronics, someone tampers with them; when they encounter adults they stop and stare at them, and become hostile towards staff, and unfortunately more agressive towards Michael

It is likely William Afton who had tampered with the animatronics under the alias Dave Miller

Micheal is moved to the day shift after a position becomes suddenly available (likely a position that a disguised William Afton held prior to his tampering with the animatronics)

During a birthday party the next day, Micheal is asked to stay close to animatronics to make sure nothing goes wrong with them as they are still acting hostile towards adults, something goes wrong with them; one of the animatronics (likely Mangle) attacks Micheal, biting down on his head and causing severe damage, effectively lobotomizing him in the process

The new and improved Freddy Fazbear’s is forced to close amidst the controversy, but a new location is rumored to be opened in the future using the animatronics from the old location once more

Fnaf 1

Fazbear entertainment opens a new, smaller location in the shell of the first building, starring Freddy, Chica, Bonnie, and Foxy animatronics taken from the first location, and repaired/cleaned (although it appears Foxy breaks down soon after so what was the point)

Micheal Afton manages to get himself another job at Freddy's, this time as a "Mike Schmidt", either no one recognizes him (likely) or no one cares and theyre desperate ( also likely)

this location is also home to the Spring Bonnie and Fredbear suits in the now sealed off backroom, Fredbear/Joesph/Evan (now missing the bow and tophat) is seemingly able to teleport around the building at night

other animatronics Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy have a grudge against security guards or adults in general and try to get into the security office for revenge

Michael is fired for tampering with the animatronics

Fnaf 3 Minigames

fnaf 1 location closes and remains unused for some time (unclear why or for how long)

William Afton breaks into closed down Freddy Fazbear's either to regain ownership of his spring bonnie suit or to dismantle the animatronics

Either way William ends up destroying Bonnie, Foxy, Freddy, and Chica, freeing the spirits inside

the spirits confront Afton, and Joesph is able to join them from Golden Freddy; together they frighten William into jumping into the Spring Bonnie suit

The springlocks fail, and William is brutally killed as the endoskeleton parts are forced into his body

The souls of the Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and Golden Freddy are set free with William's death.

FNAF 3

Michael Afton, still investigating his father's many crimes, ends up at a new horror attraction themed around the disappearances and various incidents that have taken place at Freddy's called Fazbear Frights

Fazbear Frights owners find the Spring Bonnie suit hidden in the back room of an old Freddy Fazbear's, with William's corpse still inside; no one notices somehow

William Afton is still alive somewhere within the Spring Bonnie (now Springtrap) animatronic

I like to think of it as a ghost possessing his own corpse (same with Michael just minus the rabbit suit)

Michael Afton spends time in Fazbear Frights fighting off hallucinations of past animatronics and the slowly decaying corpse of his own father

By the end of the week Fazbear Frights has been burned to the ground, everything in it completely destroyed, Michael Afton is our prime suspect for the fire

William survies the fire

Sister Location

some years after the events of the audio clips, unclear how many

William's son Micheal Afton, still seeking answers about his father and his crimes, takes on a job at Circus Baby Rentals

It is revealed throughout the course of the game how Elizabeth Afton died through Baby's voicelines

On the final night, Baby is set to be sent for repairs, she asks Micheal to remove a chip from her that contains "everything good" in hopes that everything bad will be removed and she can keep everything good

she is then sent to the scooping room and guides Micheal there

Upon his arrival, it is revealed that Funtime Foxy, Freddy, Ballora, and Baby have already been to the room and had their endoskeletons removed by the scooper

Micheal has been speaking to a new character called "Ennard" for an unclear amount of time; Ennard is a combination of pieces from all of the Funtime animatronics endoskeletons; they reveal their plan to escape Circus Baby Rentals by scooping Micheals insides out and hiding in his skin

Ennard activates the Scooper and kills Micheal in the process, the Funtime animatronics escape Circus Baby Rentals

Sister Location Minigames

The games show Micheal walking down the street everyday, after Ennard moves into his skin, Micheal's skin slowly starts to turn green and eventually purple, and his hair and teeth fall out as his body begins to decay

People Micheal pass on the street are initially happy to see Micheal, smiling and waving as he passes by, but as the days go on and Micheal decays further, people begin to become fearful of him, even hiding in their houses

The final day shows Ennard exiting from Micheal's body (possible that Micheal did this but more likely that Ennard realized a rotting corpse doesn't make a good disguise)

Micheal falls to the ground, and Circus Baby is heard saying "You won't die" repeatedly

Micheal stands, presumably having come back to life

Pizzaria Simulator

Michael Afton finds himself a new job; owning and building his very own Freddy Fazbear's Pizzaria

The job offer comes straight from Henry Emily himself

Henry has devised a plan to lure all of the remaining animatronics and William into one location to finally destroy then and set the souls of the children free once and for all

Henry builds Lefty the bear to find, capture, and return the puppet to the restaurant

he also creates something to lure the remaining animatronics ( Circus Baby (who at some point had been voted out of the polycule) and Molten Freddy ( Ennard minus Baby)) and William to the back alley of the pizzaria where Michael can then bring them in and prepare them for the big day at the end of the week

The big day comes, everyone is together, and Henry and Michael burn the pizzaria down with themselves reamining inside

The animatronics are destroyed, the children are freed, and William Afton is finallly dead

Ultimate Custom Night

more headcanon than anything but i like to imagine that UCN is William Afton in hell or some similar place
