I'm on an Eldermourne relisten and hooooly shitttt I just realized something:
In episode four when Fia is talking to Sadie, she tells her that she once gave away her dowry. Like her father already had a dowry set for her (at like 12 years old!) and she smuggled it away.
In episode 8 when Fia is recounting what happened when Irina had to flee, she says "I gave her the most valuable thing I had so that she could buy freedom".
Fia gave Irina her dowry.

Relistening to Eldermourne still in shock and awe of how apparently some cishet fans didn't pick up on fiarina and thought it was rushed like. It's only mentioned in passing but Fia says the three options her dad gave her after catching her doing magic with Irina were to be executed, join a convent, or GET MARRIED
