Ignis Scientia.  Royal retainer, astute strategist, loyal friend and impeccable dresser.  His outfit is much more than a coeurl print shirt and a tailored jacket. His glasses may look business like but on closer inspection the lenses don’t seem to be attached to the frames.  This becomes more obvious post Altissia when he wears tinted lenses. Just like Noctis, Ignis wears a lot of skulls too.  You may have noticed the pendant he wears on a belcher chain but did you know it has fangs?  Ignis has the same Roen skull buttons on his pockets, a half fanged skull motif on his belt buckle, a skull and cross bones on the back and front left of his pleated dress shirt, and another on the left pocket of his trousers. Ignis’s shoes are stunning.  Not exactly practical for a road trip but stylish as always.  Patent crocodile fronts with a studded design, cuban heels (really, Ignis?  Are you not tall enough?) and the ubiquitous red soles. so, i finally ordered my gaming laptop! and it comes with the right graphics card to run Ansel, so i'll be taking plenty of photos of FFXV! 🥰

My evidence that FFXV could have easily been a horror game.

(I got Ansel shots around Zegnautus while trying to calm my heartrate from the stupid jumpscares that kept getting me!)

Alterna on Dread Behemoth at Cape Caem.  Alterna is great for wiping out creatures and daemons alike. Some are immune and live to tell the tale but it always makes for some great photographs.  I especially like the red afterglow. All images copyright Square Enix Co. Ltd.

I really love your FFXV screenshots, they always look so crisp. I saw on your sideblog you use ANSEL for shots, what do you do to make them look so clean and sharp? Mine never come out as good.

Hello, thank you so much! I usually take pictures in 8K via the Super resolution option in Ansel, then scale them down to 4K for others to use (and even further down to 1280x720 for tumblr). When it's a photo op quest, I enable the Dynamic Super Resolution in the Nvidia control panel so I also can get higher resolution for Prompto's pics, then scale those down to 4K as well. If I feel like it's needed, I play with the Ansel filters to increase contrast, shadows, or the vibrance of the colors. I don't really do anything about the overall sharpness though. Maybe the only thing that comes to my mind is that I sometimes motion-blur pixelated parts of an image (eg very dark sky) to get rid of the pixelation, then apply a little noise on that area to give it a sharper feel. I've also just browsed your screenshots and they look pretty good to me! Don't be too hard on yourself. You're doing a great job!
