which website would be best to post these as bases? Is it okay to leave them on Tumblr? I don't know if Tumblr heavily downgrades the quality for people downloading pictures but if it doesn't I'll probably just leave them here.

Anyways free to use fennec fox bases, just credit me or link back to my pages on Tumblr or Instagram. Don't change the lineart. I won't be releasing them without the paper background just in case people try to remove the credit or change the lineart (it makes it harder I think.) If your character doesn't fit I may be making more fennec fox bases in the future.

How to color (or at least how I do it):

Create a layer above art

Fill lineart with base color

Change blending mode (multiply or overlay works best for me)

Create a layer above base color

Turn on clipping mode, and color away

Optional: shading and lighting

Create a new layer above all colors

Turn on clipping mode, and either shade or add lighting

Experiment with blending modes (I usually use darken for shading and lighten and overlay for lighting, but there's many ways to do this)

I legally have to make their colors kinda flashy because as a kid when I first designed them I thought I Had to make the colors dull and pale to be good or else it'd be too much or too cringe so now imjust making them the absolute swaggest and cringest that I can :33 as a gift to my child self
