Dear Femslash Ex 2017 Creator

Hi! I’m unlikelycourse on AO3. Thanks so much in advance! I want to say that, truly, I’m gonna love anything you choose to do, so don’t sweat it. Whatever you have the yen to write, go for it! But, as for general guidelines:

Things I don’t want:

-First person

-songfic

-anything like super dark/heavy angst. Angst pertaining to canon circumstances or like brief angst is all right as long as it’s resolved (god knows I love me some hurt/comfort), but I’m looking for some feel-good right now.

-sex-wise (if you feel like going there, I’m all for it but it’s totes not a requirement in any prompt), that’s hard no on watersports, anything anal, underage, dubcon/noncon, ageplay, or like pain.

-Total AU, canon divergent, and canon are all fine but no kidfic or coffeeshop or high school AUs this time around please!

Things I like: HOO BOY SO MANY THINGS honestly man I am so easy but uhhh these things I will absolutely love for any of these fandoms/ships

-I like family/found family feelings a lot, people working together to solve problems and looking out for each other, but if you want to write something that’s more focused on just the pairing that’s fine too.

-I like people healing from bad things and getting good things in life and lifting each other up

-I like open communication that’s also organic

-I like girls kicking ass and being powerful, what can I say

-Trust!!! is my personal drug!!!! So is devotion. And fealty and the swearing thereof. A ship starting on warier ground and growing to trust and know one another is like, the greatest

-Hard-won intimacy in general.

-Characters trying to ignore/deny how absolutely ass-over-teakettle in love they are with the other, but it’s futile bc they are Too Gay To Function.

-I’m always down for some good good tropes. That fake-married, unexpected bed-sharing stuff.

-Also characters being utterly sappy and absolutely filthy in the same breath

-I feel like this is all really vague but that’s really just bc I truly will love anything

Wynonna Earp – Waverly Earp/Nicole Haught

Wow honestly I just love anything with these two goobers cherishing one another and being absolute fools with tenderness and desire for each other. Though like I said, “starting on shakier ground moving to trust and love” is still a valid option here. I’ll especially love anything that involves Waverly being a genius and saving the day, and general badassery for both of them. Feel free to Western it up a little, I feel like the show has been light on that this season. I know they’ve had a little angst this season and feel free to engage with that but at the end of the day I want them to be okay. I love that they love each other, that they love to take care of each other, that they’re both brave and dedicated to doing what’s right. I love that Nicole is principled but shrewd and pragmatic, forthright and sarcastic but also a big gay emotional puppy dog. I love that Waverly believes in making an effort to be sunny and optimistic and good to others, but also has a lot of potent and controlled rage and will fuck you right up if you cross her. Sidenote, please no plain Wynonna/Doc in the bg, I much much prefer Wynonna/Dolls or all three of them together.

Also, be good to Rosita, she’s had a rough time.

Carmilla (Web Series) – Laura Hollis/Carmilla Karnstein/Danny Lawrence

I love these three being a team and balancing each other out, both in their relationship and in slaying supernatural evils. I would love shenanigans mixed with ass-kicking the most, especially some that utilizes that Laura Hollis is a human weapon with ELEVEN YEARS OF KRAV MAGA, and also Mel and the Summer Society, the girljock monster-hunters of my heart. Also tol + 2 smols cuddling. Now, I know canon ended on kind of a depressing note for Danny and I said I didn’t want a lot of angst, but I’m open to either working with that or you can just do what I do and sort of set it at a vague alternate timeline at Silas with everyone alive and no pressing show plot but plenty of various supernatural shenans. Or like a complete AU or whatever you want, honestly.

I love Laura Hollis, ambitious and silly and strong and righteous. I love Danny, a leader and a hero and a person who just…cares so fucking much??? I love Carmilla, brilliant and brittle but still resilient, who has seen such darkness but loves a whole lot, a mix of dangerous and vulnerable, cynical and romantic. I love that these three girls fought like hell for the world against impossible odds, and they’ll do the same for each other.

Victorious – Tori Vega/Jade West

LISTEN okay this dumb show about wacky, ambitious drama kids is the worst-greatest, and I love that the strongest driving narrative through all three seasons was these two girls going from enemies to really good friends who are still healthy rivals. I want to see this developing even further as they grow up and grow together as people and artists! The beauty of these two is that they push each other but I think they also understand one another on a deep level. And I think it’s safe to say that despite the fact that Jade would rather die than admit it, they really enjoy and respect each other for their differences. They have a lot to learn from each other, from Jade pushing Tori to get serious about her talents to Tori getting Jade to actually talk about her feelings (not that Tori Vega, World’s Worst Heterosexual, is always a perfect paradigm of being in touch with her emotions). Sidenote, I would love some good Trina in here, she’s a riot.

All Cheerleaders Die – Tracy Bingham/Maddy Killian

HOO BOY this movie was a wild ride, so I’d love a fic where it slows down and we actually get to see the girls interact more, especially, of course Tracy and Maddy. I mean I guess this a guaranteed canon divergence bc I don’t want it to be too too depressing (although considering the source I’m more flexible about the angst). Maybe something with a little less death (I mean there’s probs gonna be some death for someone) and a little more witchcraft and kissing? Honestly I’m super open about this bc I just want, like, more. More of what Tracy is like as a person when she’s not undead, more of chessmaster Maddy, more of both of them being happy instead of desperate, winning instead of losing, more of the girls in general being friends.
