Lia had just begun to walk out from her set, there was something about singing in a lounge bar that had just hit her in the right way. It was something she had enjoyed doing, and something people enjoyed hearing her do also. It was a far cry away from the family's business problems and it was a wonderful way to distract herself from anything to do with familial issues at the present moment in time. Perhaps a kinder person would have stuck around to be supportive, however, Lia wanted to get out of that bar and find her way home. Lia needed the comforts of home, and by far she needed to soothe her throat, long nights of singing took a toll on her throat.

She shivered lightly as she stepped out into the cool air, rummaging through her bag for her keys. "Where the... Oh, come on you have to be kidding me!" She exclaimed, her fingers slipping through a hole at the bottom of her bag. "Fuck!"

"You didn't expect me to be in the classroom all day, did you?" Charley cocked his head to the side and let out a soft chuckle. "Reclusive history professor I may be but you can't expect me to always be inside or working can you?" He shrugged a little. "The boat and water sometimes just make me want to head out and disappear, although I think Cass would be pretty mad at me if I did."

Auggie was milling around the children's section, idly reorganizing books while he watched Rosie, who was parked in a bean bag chair flipping through a picture book, out of the corner of his eye. She was out of eyeshot for a second while he answered a quick question for a customer, and she was gone when he turned back. Dad panic set in a bit as he quickly shelved a book and headed quickly through the stacks, looking for her.

He eventually found her at the front of the store, in the middle of an animated conversation (well, mostly just half-discernible kid talk on her part) with someone. He scooped her up quickly. "Rose, honey, you can't run off like that," he said as he placed her on his hip. "Sorry about her," he said to the person she'd been babbling at, "She's a flight risk, clearly."

After getting knocked down during basketball practice, Jake was sent to the school nurse to get his head checked. There was someone already in the room waiting to be seen, but Jake let himself in anyway and instantly went to poking around everything that was left out. "Yo, what up. Don't mind me. Coach thinks I have a concussion, so, like, this is totally normal behavior." He says while stuffing his pocket with a handful of condoms from the nurse's desk. "Just doing my part in practicing safe sex. You want some?"

JD liked to go out every night when he had the chance. Tonight he decided on hitting up Touchbacks to check out some of the games on TV and maybe have a few drinks. Finding his way to an open spot by the bar, he leaned on the counter and tried to flag down the bartender. He was in the mood for a good beer and some good food. After ordering a beer he turned and raised his glass a bit, "Cheers, here's to good food, good drinks, and a good life."

"I normally don't recommend costume contacts, but these are glow-in-the-dark and the brand is safe so I couldn't help it. The costume just didn't feel right without the glowing green eyes," Ian explained, before taking another sip of his drink.

pulling down the blinds shut as it was already past the library hours, ellie grabbed some books from the counter to stack them back in the proper shelf. since she was assigned with the closing shift tonight, her colleagues have already left the brunette to finish her remaining tasks. making her way to the aisle, the femme froze on her tracks as she heard some footsteps approaching--heartbeat racing at the thought that it could be a ghost. slowly, she turned around and was able to let out a sigh of relief when she saw that it wasn't some faceless creature that would haunt her nightmares. holding her hand over chest, a small chuckle fell from her lips as she blurted out, " you really scared me there. is there anything i can help you with? the library is already closing-- "

One thing Ricky knew nothing about was cars, whether that meant why an engine sounded funny or how to change his own oil. He knew nothing, but thankfully he had a friend who could tell him if he needed an oil change or something else. So after some talk, Ricky found himself at Extra Mile Mechanics, waiting in the lounge while the mechanics looked at his car. As he scrolled on his phone, he looked up, to see someone familiar walk through the door. Smiling, he got up to say hello, "hey! Long time no, see. How's it going?"

"you should go for the salty caramel oat latte, you won't regret it." maddie shot after a few seconds of staring at the indecisive customer next to her. "sorry." she offered a smile. "you've been staring at the menu for like five minutes."

With spring finally peeking it's way through the trees, Link could stop sticking half his body out of windows when he was craving a cigarette, now able to step outside fully and let the weather cause his cheeks to turn red.

"You need a light?" He'd barely noticed who had approached him out of the corner of his eye. "My need to steal lighters at every gas station across the United States is really coming in handy lately."

Bijan set the plate of Baghlava on the rustic stone table and slowly took a seat. Propping his walking cane up against the table, careful that it wouldn't fall. "Did you get the coffee?" he asked, slightly distracted as he rubbed his hands together. "They really should create more public places with some kind of heating," he commented, smiling at the other. "Feel free to take some Baghlava, it's an original recipe from Tabriz, slightly like the Turkish version."

"This is kind of an impossible decision." Sterling's brows furrowed at as she stared a hole into the paint samplers she held in each hand. "See, I've been wanting to repaint my daughter's room and I am so in love with both of these colors but I can't decide which would be the best. What do you think?" Sterling looked to the person next to her and showing off the paint samples. "Blush pink or sage green?"

"Why is it so hard to find a good Halloween costume." Sage huffed, speaking to anyone who cared to listen as she scrolled through different options on Pinterest on her phone. "Do I want to be something funny or scary or sexy? There's too many options. Do you have any idea what you're wearing to Sharky's Halloween party?" She asked as she looked at the person who heard all her rambling.

I've been watching a lot of Cheers right before I go to bed recently, and I must say that Ted Danson is still one of my celebrity crushes. I don't have many, but I think he's still charming as ever. Even in those cell phone commercials he's in these days. Do you have celebrity crushes? And if so, who are they?

It was late. Theo looked down at the basket on his lap. Pickles. Now he needed the chocolate spread—not any chocolate spread. It had to be Nutella. "Do you mind reaching that for me?" He asked the person next to him, pointing at the Nutella jar a couple shelves above him. "It's a matter of life and death, and the wellbeing of my unborn children."

He's out of sorts today. It happens on days with less sleep, or when he forgets to go grab something to eat. Working out in the field early in the morning on one task, and then the next thing he knows it's noon and he still hasn't put anything into his system but water. His vision gets too focused... he's been tilling the soil, watering the fruiting trees and vining plants, when he realizes someone's been waiting nearby. "Please tell me you haven't been standing there too long..." Asa brushes damp dark hair out of his face. Pulls old gardening gloves off his tattooed hands. "Sorry, love. I just... I got a bit too into the watering today. What can I do for you? Can we talk and um... head to the Food Hall?"
