MORE FUN FACTS
-Queenie, obviously, used to be a loner. She lived in twolegplace, and earned her name not because she had kits of her own, but because she would help out other queens with theirs, bringing them food and water, entertaining them, and protecting them from dogs. She ran to Fallenclan territory when the building she was living under was demolished.
-Sweetclover is the oldest of her sisters (Fernslug and Yellowjay). While the other two are a bit more rambunctious, she always took up the role of the responsible one, making sure that they never got into too much trouble.
-Yellowjay loves to sneak off and explore outside the territories. Once or twice she’s caught the smell of a very familiar outsider…
-Skyfrost is one of the best hunters in the clan, second only to Boulderstep. He can jump straight up into the air and catch a bird as its flying away, which was how he earned his original name, Sky. He’s also a shameless flirt. Anyone is fair game, but his favorite targets are Brambletuft, Lightningtail, Yewberry, Ripplefade, Moo, and Bub.
-Pocket has a hopeless crush on Pinefrost. She knows that he isn’t interested in her like that, though, so she’s never made an attempt to flirt with him.
-Poppyfeather was always extremely outgoing and friendly as a young warrior and apprentice. Since Henryclaw (her father) died, she became more closed off and cold, even aggressive at times. Despite this, she’s an excellent aunt to Cinderstone and Ramstep.
-Gyoza hardly ever talks. Most cats assume he’s unfriendly and antisocial, which isn’t untrue, but Troutspeckle was the first cat to not just become annoyed with him and brush him off. She can read his facial expressions so well that they can have entire conversations without him saying a word.
-Fruitbeam is actually very good friends with Pinefrost. Neither of them are particularly chatty, and they find comfort in simply sitting in each other’s silence.
-When Curly died in the rogue attack, she went down defending the nursery. It was left to her and Moxie, who was at the time protecting Sandykit and Rowankit. Moxie survived.
-Holly was a show cat before joining Fallenclan.
-Rum Tum Tugger was one of the best storytellers in the clan, second only to Henryclaw. Perhaps it was just because he’d seen so much, but for the few moons he spent in Fallenclan, any time he would tell a story, young cats would gather around from every corner of the camp to listen in.
-Ivyleaf never wanted kits. She was mates with a kittypet (Rush), though, and when she found out she was pregnant, he was more than happy to take Otterkit and raise him alone. If it weren’t for the fact that his twolegs then abandoned Rush, and he died on the outskirts of Fallenclan territory, she probably never would have seen Otterslip again.
-Jaggedstripe was a kittypet, when she was born, then became a loner. When she was kidnapped by twolegs, it reminded her how much she had hated that life. She spent every moment she could trying to escape.
-Nick always dreamed of being a clan cat because of all the fighting–he loved battle training, and before he joined Fallenclan he would do it all the time by himself. Once he joined the clan, though, he softened, especially after he had Wormshade, and he found himself not caring about it much anymore.

recent moons have reinvigorated the fallenclan brainworms, so here are my headcanons about what happened during and after the dog attack! (plus a crowflame section bcuz he is my beloved)
-Fernslug, Bluefern and Newtscar suffered the most violent deaths of all cats. Fernslug was being chased by a dog, when she slipped and hit her head on a rock (Rainflower style), Bluefern was being torn apart (not literally i just cant find the right words) and Newtscar's belly was sliced from chin to belly (Tigerclawstar style, but no organs out. newt doesnt need organs out). Evie, their kits, Sweetclover and Ivybounce saw their deaths, mortified.
-Eaglestripe died to protect Daisypetal, Hawkwish and Sorrelstem. Hawk and Sorrel tried to save them both, but nothing worked.
-Gyoza's death was fully accidental. A dog was aiming for Poppyfeather, but miscalculated and killed him instead.
-Evie and Crowflame often have nightmares about that day. At least they try to comfort eachother about it.
-Moosefall buried Salmonskip while looking at the stars, noticing a new star twinkling brighter than the others.
-Flyspots died to protect Wormshade, Beefreckle died to protect both of his dads and Spiderfoot died to protect her dad.
-Russetflare desperately shielded the medicine den, where most living sheltered, along with Cinderstone, Mudsplash and Salmonskip. Some dogs broke her defence and flooded inside killing the four aformentioned cats.
-Hawkwish begged to Rustbee and Bub to take the apprentices and Juniperfoot and ordered them to take shelter at the old abandoned barn.
-Rustbee, Bub, the apprentices and Juniperfoot are lucky enough to not have seen the massacre.
---------------------Crowflame time baybee----------------------------
-Before losing his vision, he would often take walks with Antbite near the fox-pelt thicket (which i imagine have pine trees that easily frost over in leaf-bare) to help with exercise. Though, he would constantly look at the gaps of sunlight inbetween the trees. It reminded him of his family and Blizzardfang.
-Crowflame doesn't have dreams. He stopped having dreams ever since Molesong died.
-He believes he's lost that flame in him.
-He's decently good friends with Evie, Moonstep and Troutspeckle, all in an effort to help them.
-After finding out that Otterslip had died, initially he didn't believe the news, only to be presented his dead body. No one knows how he died, but Crowflame thinks he might have died of hypothermia.
-He always shivers and twitches at night.
-Crowflame has a huge fear of unnoticed by anyone and dying alone, while Pinefrost feared interactions and being grieved by others. Naturally, lots of cats grieved.
-Often times, he forgets he is even transgender. He's completely forgotten he was even a girl.
-After losing his vision, Antbite refused to leave his side.
-He regrets yelling at Lightningtail everyday, even though Lightningtail apologized for pitying him.
OHHH really cool headcanons,,, i especially like all the Crowflame ones, i love that old man sm

The steady beat of Silverbelly's pawsteps kept tempo with Feathersight's heart, instilling an even deeper sense of familiarity within Feathersight. Silverbelly had been one of the cats to mentor him, yes, but she had also become far more than that. If FallenClan was like his extended family, then the medicine cats were his immediate family.
He loved and valued each of them deeply, so Silverbelly's raspy breaths were dually upsetting. The two medicine cats were making the trek back from Sungleam Lake, evading squawking twoleg kits while they carried home their precious comfrey, which grew abundantly in this particular location.
"Silverbelly?" Feathersight called out, causing the senior medicine cat to halt. Try as she might to hide it, it was evident that the long walk was taking a toll on her. "Can we stop for a few moments? My paws are sore." It was a fib, but a small one.
"Oh, of course, dear. I wouldn't want your paw pads to tear." After speaking, Silverbelly promptly sat down, inhaling deeply. Feathersight followed suit, wrapping his tail neatly around his paws and gazing out across the water. The two had reached the portion of water where lake gave way to river. Feathersight knew that if he followed the river, he'd eventually reach the Split Stones, and beyond that still was the river split.
Feathersight felt a deep love for his home. He could ask for no better place to live.
"You've been spending time with Ospreyswipe," Silverbelly commented mildly.
"Mm." Feathersight gave a tiny nod. "He's my friend."
"Do you still spend time with the others?"
"Juniperfoot, Myrtleclaw, and Sandstep spend most of their time together. Russetflare and Cinderstone are hardly apart these days, too. That leaves me and Ospreyswipe."
"Oh." There was a shift in Silverbelly's tone that caused Feathersight to glance at the she-cat quizzically. "It's just, you and your friends. . . you were always so. . ." She trailed off, gaze foggy with memory. "You remind me of myself sometimes, Feathersight."
"How so?" Feathersight blinked in surprise. He wasn't sure what had brought this on.
"I used to have a group of friends, too. I was always the quiet one, but I never felt left out."
"I'm guessing Applebranch and Maplestar were a part of this group?" Feathersight's gaze had returned to the water. With a start, he noticed a single maple leaf, drifting along the river. Before he could comment on it, Silverbelly continued speaking.
"Yes. There were two others." She paused. "Honeygleam and Dawnshine."
"Oh?" Feathersight's gaze was still locked on the maple leaf, disquiet settling over him. Is Cherrydust ready?
"Dawnshine is, ah, was my brother. He and Honeygleam died a long time ago. I've been thinking about them a lot, lately."
Feathersight's gaze snapped to the medicine cat. "Do you ever ponder your own mortality, Silverbelly?"
"What?" Silverbelly let out a nervous chuckle.
Feathersight felt a pang of annoyance with himself. He had done it again. Sometimes, he blurted things without thinking. Disturbing things, things cats don't like hearing. "I mean, you're quite old." Silverbelly blinked. "Wise. You've experienced so much. It must be nice knowing there are cats waiting for you, that one day you won't have to grieve anymore."
"Grieve? Feathersight, have you seen something?" Alarm was beginning to edge into Silverbelly's voice.
"No, no, I-" Feathersight took a step back. "Sorry. Nevermind."
"No, I'm sorry." Silverbelly sighed. "You just caught me off guard. It's strange thinking of myself as having so little time left."
"Knowing you, that time will be spent doing something wonderful. You're an amazing cat, Silverbelly." I'm going to miss you was left unspoken.
"Thank you, dear." Silverbelly leaned forward, pressing her nose against Feathersight's cheek. "I'm very glad you chose to be a medicine cat. Sometimes the things you say can be a bit, well, startling, but you're such a kind-hearted and caring individual. The clan couldn't ask for a better medicine cat. You remind me so much of. . ."
"Yourself?"
"Yes, but I was going to say Stormsight."
"Oh." The cat whose memory seemed to haunt the medicine den. "You loved him very dearly."
"I did. I still do." Silverbelly's gaze had begun to water.
"I'm sorry," Feathersight murmured, feeling Silverbelly's pain as strongly as if it had been his own. In some ways, it was his own. He felt sorrow at the thought of forever slinking along in a murdered cat's shadow. Would he always be compared to Stormsight? Could he ever live up to their memory?
"No, don't be. I shouldn't be dumping this on you."
"It's okay."
"It's not." Silverbelly sighed. "You aren't Stormsight."
"No," Feathersight replied carefully. "I can never be Stormsight, but that doesn't mean I won't try to honor his memory."
"You honor his memory just by walking the path of a medicine cat." At Feathersight's doubtful look, Silverbelly pressed on. "You are your own cat, Feathersight. You bring your own light into the medicine den. I don't want you to feel pressured to live up to Stormsight's legacy." Feathersight started. It was if Silverbelly had read his mind. "If it's worth anything, you have already beyond proved yourself to me."
". . . thank you."
"Are your paws feeling better?"
"What? Oh, right. Yes, they feel a lot better."
"Good. We should head back to camp before sundown."
Silverbelly turned to pad off and as Feathersight moved to follow, he also cast a hesitant glance towards the river. The maple leaf was gone, presumedly swept away or sunken beneath the current.
Something to ponder over another time, he decided. For now, he would focus on getting back to camp. One pawstep at a time.
-🐉 (i decided to elaborate on the feathersight & silverbelly conversation about her "mortality." i'll be writing something for rustmoss next!)
EATING THIS EATING THIS EATING THIS!!!!!!!!!!! the little nods to feathersight's omen sense. seeing a maple leaf sink into the river. ohh my god dragon your fics . i want them in my brain forever

Almost there. Russetflare wove nimbly through the Sky Pine's many branches, claws leaving the tiniest indents as she went. She wondered if, years later, those marks would still be there, remaining as proof that one brave FallenClan warrior had dared to climb so high.
Or perhaps the tree would heal, over time. Did trees heal? Juniperpaw would probably know the answer, but she wasn't here right now. Still catching up on her training, she hadn't wanted to get wrapped up in another one of Russetflare's harebrained schemes.
Once she had found a suitable branch, one so large it could reasonably fit four warriors, Russetflare stopped to catch her breath. She was so close now, her heart thrumming with excitement. She would do what surely no other FallenClan cat had done before.
With these thoughts, Russetflare found it especially jarring when Cinderstone landed next to her with a dull thud, claws scrambling for purchase. The she-cat was dangerously close to slipping, so Russetflare grabbed her scruff, hauling her onto a more stable part of the branch.
Still catching her breath, Cinderstone flattened her ears in defiance. Russetflare had noticed that as Cinderstone grew older, she became more and more aloof, and less willing to join Russetflare on her exploits. Yet she had agreed to this one, for reasons still unknown.
Eventually, Cinderstone muttered, "Ramstep got stuck. Ospreyswipe helped him out, but after that they decided to be done climbing."
"And you kept going?" Russetflare tilted her head, ears twitching.
"Yeah." Russetflare found Cinderstone's gaze disappointingly hard to read. Russetflare had always been so good at reading cats, but these days Cinderstone had become a closed book.
The Sky Pine's many needled branches were casting dappled shadows across Cinderstone's pelt, making it so that Russetflare had to lean closer to get a good look at the she-cat. Cinderstone had always been startlingly beautiful, but now, with the slightest hint of a scowl on her face, Russetflare found her even more charming.
She followed me, Russetflare couldn't help but think, selfishly.
"We should keep going, before the sun goes down. Unless you're scared?" Cinderstone drawled. Grinning, Russetflare shook her head.
"I don't think I've ever been scared in my entire life, Cinderstone."
...
This was possibly the most beautiful sunset Cinderstone had ever seen, not that she'd ever admit it. Sitting atop the Sky Pine, stray pine needles prickling at her pelt, Cinderstone felt content.
Russetflare had reached the top first, of course. Her climbing skills truly couldn't be matched. Still, Cinderstone had made it too, which was no small feat.
"We won't be able to climb down in the dark."
"'Course we can," Russetflare replied with far too much nonchalance.
Cinderstone rolled her eyes. "No, Russetflare. If we try, we'll both inevitably end up falling to our deaths. Or, I don't know, breaking every bone in our bodies."
Russetflare snorted, whiskers twitching with amusement. "And Ramstep says you aren't funny."
"I wasn't trying to be humorous."
"Well, I found it funny all the same," Russetflare chuckled, turning her gaze away from Cinderstone. After a few heartbeats, Cinderstone took the opportunity to rest her had against Russetflare's shoulder. Cinderstone wasn't quite sure why she did it. It just felt right.
Russetflare's heartbeat quickened, but she refused to move. She wasn't going to spoil this with any stupid remarks or careless gestures. She would remain perfectly still, for once in her life.
Eventually, once the sun was almost gone from view, the two warriors climbed a ways down, settling upon a branch they both deemed large enough to support their weight through the night.
Russetflare doubted either of them would be able to sleep through the night. Cinderstone was too wary, afraid of toppling to her demise, while Russetflare couldn't get that stupid, giddy thought out of her head: She followed me.
...
When they returned to camp nearly a day later, they were met with hysterics all around. Evidently, Ramstep and Ospreyswipe had returned to camp, and when Russetflare and Cinderstone didn't show up after a few hours, had admitted to Maplestar what the warriors had been up to.
All four of them would be forced to return to their apprentice duties for at least a moon.
Russetflare thought her newfound discovery was worth the cost.
-🐉 (russetcinder?? in this house??? yes apparently. randomly decided to ship them for giggles. if this proves wildly inaccurate in future moons, i suppose it can be an au!)
WAIT THIS IS SO CUTE??? i kind of love this ship now. one thing about me is that i am so easily swayed. i WILL be sending them on training patrols together btw
