Admission to Excel Engineering College follows a merit-based approach, wherein a valid score in the TNEA examination serves as a gateway to the counseling process. Last year, the coveted cutoff rank for Biomedical Engineering reached 6240. For B.E./ B.Tech admission, candidates require a 10+2 qualification with an aggregate of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. A lateral entry into the second year is open to diploma or B.Sc. degree holders who secure a combined score of 55% in their final and pre-final semesters. Aspiring M.E. candidates need a relevant B.E./ B.Tech or equivalent degree alongside a valid TANCET or GATE score. Excel Engineering College takes great pride in its robust placement cell, which grooms students for their careers and ushers in esteemed opportunities. With 138 companies participating last year, including stalwarts like BYJU’s, Infosys, and Just Dial, the placement drive achieved remarkable success. Of the 385 participating students, 194 secured placements, with an additional four students finding off-campus opportunities. Noteworthy is the 23% surge in placements within the Computer Science and Engineering Department. The Electronics and Communication Engineering Department clinched the highest placement rate at 76%, adding yet another feather to the college's cap.
