Tourism in Morocco for 2023
Morocco has become a significant tourist destination in North Africa due to its natural beauty and cultural heritage. The country’s rich culture, history, and cuisine attract thousands of foreign and Moroccan tourists every year. Its thriving hospitality sector provides jobs and contributes a significant amount to the country’s GDP. The Atlas Mountains run through Morocco’s heart, dividing the country into two most prominent regions- the north and the south. Both areas are rich in natural resources and attract many foreign and local tourists. The northern region of Morocco is home to Marrakech, the country’s most famous city. This city is filled with historical monuments such as the Kouttab River Avenue and Atlas Jalon Castle. It is also famous for its marketplaces, restaurants, art galleries, and Bedouin culture. Marrakech is one of the most popular travel destinations in the world due to its unique culture, attractions, and natural beauty. Morocco’s tourism industry is growing rapidly thanks to its increasing number of Moroccan and foreign tourists. The country hosts over 5 million tourists each year who either come for business or pleasure. Attractions include the royal cities of Marrakech and Fez, the desert region of Aït-Ben-Haddou, the Atlantic Ocean beaches of Agadir and Essaouria, the Atlas mountains, Djebel Berqiq and Meren Shahi, historical sites such as Meknes and Fes, and its cuisines such as tagines and couscous. Don’t miss the chance to visit Morocco, the holidays in Marrakech are the best in the world!
Housing one-sixth of all Arab tourism markets combined with over 120 ethnic groups within its borders, Morocco boasts a diverse culture that attracts people from all over the world. Its hospitality sector provides jobs and contributes a significant amount to the country’s GDP. As one of the largest employers in Morocco, hotels, restaurants, tour operators, and transportation services thrive on the influx of foreign cash during tourist season. Morocco is one of Africa’s most popular travel destinations due to its natural beauty and history. Its booming tourism industry is snowballing thanks to its increasing number of Moroccan and foreign tourists. The industry’s contribution to national economic growth is significant, as are its jobs for local workers.
There are several local travel agencies in Morocco that can help you explore the Beauty of Morocco. However, you have to choose the best one for you, for instance, Morocco4x4 is one of them. As it has mentioned, Morocco offers several landscapes that will absolutely attract your heart, but the desert is the preferred by tourists these last few years. So, you may love having a desert tour from Fes or a desert tour from Fes or elsewhere. Tours from Fes are popular because it’s situated in the center of Morocco.

The Medina of Essaouria - ……………………………….. Essaouria’s Medina was the first one I had seen that was so spacious, it made navigating, even among crowds of people, quite easy. As many of you have noted the colors of Essaouria, and Morocco 🇲🇦 in general, truly show out. Not for nothing, Essaouria has had a history of being sought after, particularly for its dyes and exotic spices. 🌸 Fun Facts about Essaouria 🌸 🔹 Located on the Atlantic Ocean 🔹 Still an international trading seaport 🔹 Formally known in Portuguese as : Mogador 🔹 Was also known as the : Port of Timbuktu - coined this name due to the influx of descendants of slaves that once arrived there 🔹 A windsurfers haven 🔹 One of the most multicultural Medinas in Morocco 🔹 Once was the manufacturing site of a prized purple dye that came from a sea snail 🐌 right off its beaches - though the snails originated from the nearby “Purple Islands” of Morocco ……………………………. ➡️ Did any of these facts surprise you? 😆 #beyondeden🌺 . . . . . #essaouira #visitessaouira #essaouriatrips #morocco #travelafrica #solotravel #mogador #NYtimestravel #postcardplaces #travelmore #essencetravels #colorventures #bucketlist #ilovetravel #travelguide #livetotravel #windsurf #portoftimbuktu #girlswhotravelsolo #seasnail #essaouiramedina #visitmorocco #inmorocco #discovermorocco #beautifulmorocco #moroccoplaces (at Essaouria) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cli98JwuSFA/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media

I promise this is 100% true
So, a few weeks  ago I was in Essaouira, Morocco, and this guy came up to my dad asking for money in a bunch of different languages, trying to guess what languages my dad spoke. And when my dad refused to give him money, he says, “Please, I haven’t eaten in 1 week” in French to my dad, and then my dad says, “Sir, that’s not my fault” and then the guy replies with “ITS YOUR FAULT!” and then EVERYONE we were with who could understand burst out LAUGHING (including me) and then the guy starts to laugh a little to, but then goes back to asking us for money until we left the area. Fast forward to the next day, we were just walking around and then I turn around to see a RANDOM GUY HUGGING MY DAD, and guess what, IT WAS THE GUY FROM THEPREVIOUS DAY! And when everyone realized who it was hugging my dad we all BURST OUT LAUGHING

After three sweltering days in the Marrakesh heat, the ocean breeze called us. @elisebjastad and I took a three-hour bus ride from Marrakesh to the sea-side town of Essaouira. Good points: 1. It’s less hectic than Marrakesh. 2. You can walk down the medina without fearing for a rumbling motorbike at your heels. 3. Both tourists and locals are vacationing here. Matter of fact, we saw one of the guys were were haggling with the Marrakesh souk here. #essaouria #moroc #blackgirlstraveltoo #medina (at Essouira, Morocco)

[🚨Save + Share] Essaouria - the “Windy City of Africa” ……………………….. Oh it was windy alright! 😆 Almost got blown away several times. Haha A gorgeous little port city along the Atlantic Ocean, Essaouria is known for a number of things including: 💨 Tranquility 💨 Fusion of culture 💨 Windsurfing 💨 Fresh fish 💨 Medina 💨 …Game of Thrones It had to be one of the most picturesque and peaceful places I had seen in Morocco. Not to mention, quiet easy to navigate. Although, I personally came for the first few bullets, that last bullet right there is apparently what got everybody going nuts. 😂 Cause apparently, that rampart behind me is where Daenerys Targaryen fried the Unsullied. I only know this cause a friend I made while visiting had to remind me 500 times what happened there.🤣 All in all, it made for a glorious day-trip. Just be cautious of the GOT fanatics, unless you are one. 😆 jk #beyondeden🌺 . . . . . #visitmorocco #essaouira #visitessaouira #essaouiramedina #exploremorocco #moroccotrip #travelmorocco #Medina #Africa #simplymorocco #maroc #thatsdarling #GOT #travelholic #travelstagram #liveauthentic #travelblog #traveltheworld #instapassport #flashesofdelight #blackadventuristas #wegotoo #traveldiaries #traveller #blackgirlstraveltoo #meettheworld #huffpostgram (at Essaouira, Morocco) https://www.instagram.com/p/ClQ8gA3uHW9/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
