I just rewatched Paprika, a really good anime movie from 2006. It deals with dreamscapes and reality, and moving on from the past. Some of the visuals are pretty trippy and even quite frankly disturbing, so if body morphing or mild body horror, or one weird body horror/pseudo SA are triggering for you, it might not be the movie for you.
Safe to say, I enjoyed it much more this time around, and being able to watch the whole movie from start to finish meant I understood a lot more what was actually going on, rather than having it be interrupted and, I'm sure, missing a really important chunk of the movie at the beginning.
Also SPOILERS idk how to do spoilers on Tumblr so you're just getting fair warning and if someone wants to tell me how then you can but the next paragraph is a spoiler.... ....
(shout out to the writers for having cop character in the film having a totally adult and normal reaction to not Getting The Girl, i.e. he was like "oh, okay" and didn't sulk or flip out, and the story didn't force them together either...)
