One last thing I think it's awesome that your area a fan that actually critically analyses their faves I'm like that too and had to leave almost all social media because I can stand the stan culture (or rather cult). And I agree with all your takes especially with the fact that a group doesn't have to be perfect for one to like the music and love the members. And as a YJun biased I do agree that Gyu is criminally underrated.

yeah like i understand wanting to protect your faves against hate but not all criticism is hate and there is this ridiculous mentality among kpop fans that if you don't like everything about your fave and everything they release then you're hating on them :'D it creates an environment where people are afraid to be truthful about their feelings and opinions and it's just so suffocating

also it's fucking embarrassing because it gives the people who are actual anti more ammo. i recently watched a clip of a male idol butchering the harmonization and a fan posted the clip hyping him up and that is now just used to hate on that idol and make fun of his group like bro if you'd just kept quiet and admitted the boy can't sing, this wouldn't be happening :'D

like i love twice but you won't be catching me calling the girls amazing vocalists like that's just embarrassing. i still enjoy their music just the same
