Yes, reader gets sent back as soon as Erin is no longer dependent on them. Ingo and Emmet are terrified because they realise that you'll be going home before they have more precious time with their mate. Dragons are mated for life, so this is really destroying them. When Erin is at a state where its finally safe for you to leave, they all watch is utter anguish. Emmet trying to hold you to him as your body fades up. Ingo holding Erin, who's confused and terrified. Ultimately, you fade and they're left alone to handle everything left behind.

Erin, however, is determined to get his mother back alongside the twins who will do just about anything to get their mate back.
