no, it's just like, what type of light your gender is in. like say one's gender is very connected to the performinng arts, they may say their gender is lit by a spotlight because it FEELS like thier gender is 'in the spotlight'. or someone who's gender is connected to crime may feel like their gender is being chased by police sirens, and lit up by the flashing red and blue lights. etc!
