i woke up before my friend today because i am that person who’s awake at 6 doesn’t matter what time i go to bed … and i just, lay there, after a while my tummy started growling a little, regular morning hunger. my friend groans and shifts, waking up. my tummy growls again, and he just? slips his hand under my shirt and puts his hand on my tummy, rubbing it a bit. i try so hard not to tense up bc i suddenly feel so vulnerable, I act as if this man hadnt been inside me just a few hours ago. my tummy growls again and he laughs. he asks me if i want to have breakfast, that he can cook some eggs but i can tell he’s about to fall asleep again, i shake my head and when i look at him he’s asleep again, his hand still on my tummy.

i eventually fall asleep again and we both wake up at around 9. we stay in bed, his tummy is now growling too, he says sorry, he apologizes bc he promised to cook dinner and didn’t, his stomach growls again, he gets a bit embarrassed and then explains he had a protein shake, went to the gym, worked a shift and then met me, he talks about it so casually and i try so hard not to focus on the fact that this man had only drank a protein shake, that’s all he ate and his stomach is growling just right next to me.

we keep talking and my tummy complains once again, he laughs and finally gets out of bed, i can smell eggs and i can hear him chopping something, i can also smell coffee and im just loosing my goddamn mind.

The sound of hunger after a full day of fasting, recorded late last night.

I wasn't unusually hungry, but I felt the usual disturbing discomfort about a little before my stomach rumbled, and when it did, I felt a great vibration in my hand... I checked the sound and it sounded rather deep inside!
