Confession (Keiji Togashi x reader)
My first Ao Ashi x reader!!
Tags: gn!reader, reader is an artist, no manga spoilers (basically this is in the middle of season 1), Aoi and Otomo appear as well, not proofread
You've been Togashi's classmate for months now, and at first, he intimidated you and you didn't care much for him. But your friends often dragged you along to watch Team B's matches and you found yourself focusing on Togashi the most out of all the players. And as time passed on, you found yourself feeling excited whenever you saw him walking onto the field and even more when you got to see him in school every day. It really didn't take much longer until you developed a crush on the defender, despite the fact that you've never talked to him properly and you're pretty sure he doesn't even know your name.
And at some point, not only did you find yourself watching his matches, but you also started coming to watch Team B's practices if you had the time to. As an excuse to have a reason to go, you always brought your sketchbook along to sketch the players to practice dynamic poses. You really tried your best to draw all of them, but then found yourself drawing Togashi the most - even though his hair is always hard to figure out.
And of course, your friends quickly picked up on the fact that you have a crush on him and keep teasing you about it because they want you to confess to him. But you're so sure Togashi still doesn't know who you are, even though he notices how often you come to watch him at practice and matches. He's wondered about it for a while, but always shrugged it off as you being a fan.
Because of your friend's teasing, you had to promise that you'll confess one day. You said it'll be when your sketchbook is full because that usually takes you a while. Just with this particular one, you didn't even realize how much faster you're filling it because you've been using it a lot more since you started drawing at Team B's practices.
Today is like any other - you came to watch Team B at practice and draw while you're at it. And suddenly, you're on the last page of your sketchbook. You're already dreading drawing on it because you know as soon as you do, it'll mean you have to tell Togashi about your feelings. You promised it to your friends. There's no going back.
As much as you're dreading this moment, you're waiting at the exit of the training field to watch out for Togashi. Many of his teammates leave and barely any of them look at you, but the moment Togashi approaches the exit accompanied by Aoi and Otomo, all of them recognize you instantly.
"Isn't that (Y/N)?" You hear Aoi saying from a bit of a distance, but you can't figure out what Otomo answers him. Togashi doesn't seem to have any reaction to your presence. Maybe he really doesn't know who you are?
For a moment, you debate with yourself to just leave and act as if nothing ever happened. But then Aoi runs up to you and is about to greet you. Although, before he gets to say something you force your sketchbook into his hands. "Give this to Togashi-" You tell him quickly before running away as fast as you can.
All three boys are equally confused and look after you, especially Aoi. He looks down at the sketchbook you just put into his hands as your words repeat in his head, so he hands it over to Togashi.
"What is this?" He asks in a tone that sounds a little irritated. He doesn't understand why you ran away so quickly.
"I don't know. They told me to give it to you," Aoi shrugs, "Look into it."
Otomo already knows where this is going. He saw the obvious blush on your face when you gave your sketchbook to Aoi. Otomo curses Togashi in his head for getting a confession before he did.
As they continue walking back to their dorms, Togashi flips through the sketchbook. "I don't get it..." He mumbles as he flips through the mix of your personal art and all the sketches you made while watching Team B's practices. He notices very quickly that he was drawn the most. He opens his mouth to say something else, but not only his voice but also his steps stop when he reads what you wrote on the last page.
"I like you. A lot."

Ao Ashi requests are now open!!!
The lack of Ao Ashi x reader on here is painful. Let me change that😔
My usual request rules still apply. But for Ao Ashi I'm only writing for a few characters so far! I might add more in the future. Also, I'll still mainly write for Blue Lock, but doing a bit for Ao Ashi on the side as well!!
Characters I currently write for: Ashito Aoi, Eisaku Otomo, Keiji Togashi, Yuma Motoki
Anything I write for Ao Ashi will be during season 1 of the anime because I haven't finished the manga yet!
I plan to add Tachibana, Kuroda, Jun, Hana and Kuribayashi one day in the future! Also probably Fukuda, Nozomi and Tsukishima maybe as father figures or something (like I currently write for the Blue Lock coaches.) Just wait until I get a better grasp on their personalities so I feel ready to write for them. Until then I'm writing for the four listed above!

My Favorite Art Books of 2017
2017 has been a pretty great year for art books, and I’ve managed to review some 20 titles more than last year, with the final count at 82 books. As we welcome 2018 here’s the round up of my favorite art books of 2017; I hope you’ll find something of interest in the list. ( do note that not all the books listed here were published in 2017. ) Enjoy ! – 1) Things From The Flood – Simon Stålenhag
Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag’s follow-up to his previous art book Tales From The Loop ( one of my fav art books from 2016 ) is an equally spellbinding sci-fi journey through hypnotic and surreal images masterfully illustrated by the artist. A fascinating read from cover to cover.

2) Katsuya Terada + Kim JungGi Illustrations
Two world renowned illustration maestros ( Katsuya Terada and Kim JungGi ) pool their sublime draftsmanship powers together in this collaborative volume featuring some of their very latest works.

3) Otomo – A Global Tribute To The Mind Behind Akira
Top comic artists and illustrators from Europe and Japan pay creative tribute to the films of Akira creator Otomo Katsuhiro in this amazing volume featuring pieces from over 80 artists, with close to 200 pieces of art work. A tour de force of Otomo inspired goodness.

4) Rakugaki Note – Eisaku Kubonouchi Art Works
Japanese comic artist/illustrator Eisaku Kubonouchi has been in the creative spotlight this year after designing the characters for Nissin Cup Noodle’s Kiki’s Delivery Service and Sazae-san anime commercials. This may be his first proper art book, but his recognition is long overdue.

5) The Last Odyssey – Ohrai Noriyoshi 1985-2015
The Last Odyssey is an expansive retrospective art book for the late Ohrai Noriyoshi, who sadly passed away in 2015. The artist was a prolific painter who has worked on countless movie posters, including a commission by George Lucas to paint the poster for The Empire Strikes back.

6) The World Of Ice & Fire – Game Of Thrones
A sumptuous volume to revel in the rich mythology of George R. R. Martin‘s fantasy world, complemented by some exceptional art work and illustrations; particularly those of Targaryen Kings and dragons.

7) Hellboy In Hell Library Edition
This much awaited hardcover volume marks the narrative end ( or is it ? ) to Mike Mignola’s iconic comic character Hellboy, with all chapters of the Hellboy In Hell arc collected for a satisfying read.

8) 20 Posters – Otomo Katsuhiro Posters Collection
Ok this isn’t really an art book, but I was compelled to add it to the list because of its great beauty and substantial movie culture significance – a collection of stunning 20 posters from Akira creator Otomo Katsuhiro films, hand picked by the man himself. Any of these will make a wall prettier immediately.

9) The Art Of Rogue One – A Starwars Story
Rogue One was one of my favourite films of 2016 ( and also among Starwars films ). The concept team led by Academy Award winning artist/production designer Doug Chiang created a huge volume of amazing concept art, many of which are showcased here. This book was published in late December last year and narrowly missed the deadline for my 2016’s favourite list.

10) All About Saul Leiter
I was lucky enough to attend Saul Leiter’s retrospective exhibition during my time in Tokyo this summer, a photography giant that I had little knowledge of prior to my visit. Starting his career as a fashion photographer for magazines like Elle and Vogue, Saul Leiter had an amazing eye for composition and aesthetically pleasing images. His photographs from the exhibition are beautifully reproduced in this catalog.

11) Paprika – Kon Satoshi Storyboard Book
The full collection of the late Kon Satoshi’s production storyboards ( over 600 pages ) for his final animated film Paprika, meticulously drawn by the artist himself. Akin to his mentor Otomo Katsuhiro, Kon Satoshi’s visual approach to his anime films are always highly cinematic, and this book is a great way to sturdy the master’s work. This is one of the top purchased items on my blog this year.

12) Mucha Slav Exhibition 2017 Catalogue
Some 600 thousand people visited the Mucha Slav exhibition held in Tokyo this summer, the first time the entire collection has ever left its home country Prague. Mucha was an astounding artist ahead of his time, and a fitting champion of the Art Noveau movement. This catalog collects all the paintings and art work from the exhibition.

A few other notable mentions include the background art book for Shinkai Makoto’s Your Name, Gregory Manchess’s Above The Timberline, Ikeda Manabu’s The Pen and Peter Lindbergh’s A Different Vision Of Photography; you can take a look at the full list of 2017’s art book reviews here, and I also recommend my favorite art books of 2016/2015/2014/2013/2012.
If you need help with ordering on Amazon Japan, the FAQs below will guide you through, step by step.
And lastly, I’ll love you hear about your favorite art books this year too, if you have any to share. Happy New Year !
