My Kaitlyn and Dylan HC for the fic I’m working on is that they give each other shit for their respective heights all the time. Like, Dylan makes Kaitlyn these heartfelt playlists to cheer her up after everything goes down but he puts “Short People” by Randy Newman on every single one.

Excerpt from my WIP of Dylan rizzing up Kaitlyn because she has so much trauma:

“Kaitlyn, I’m in awe of you. You’re one of the bravest people I’ve ever met. And you’re tiny! I’d be afraid to leave the house if I were your size for fear of getting stepped on! Think of everything that could go wrong. You could trip over an anthill and break your ankle! You could fall in a shallow puddle and drown! A squirrel might pick you up and try to store you away for the winter! But you’re still out here, every day, living your truth. Honestly, you’re so inspiring.”

“This height aggression from you simply will not stand, Dylan, you lanky-ass bitch! You’re making me wish your giant ancestors never climbed down from that beanstalk.” She sniffled but she was laughing again now. He’d so missed hearing her laugh.

“I’m sorry,” he said, grinning, “busting your chops just feels so right. But you’re seriously such a badass, KK. If I had the badassery-to-height ratio you have I’d be fucking unstoppable. It would be over for everyone else. That’s why god made me squishy instead. I’d be too powerful otherwise.”

dylan lenivy relationship headcanons

+ As the self-proclaimed 'master of music', Dylan is always sharing songs with you. He gets so excited when he listens to something new and it makes him think of you, he has a long ass playlist of songs in your name.

+ He kinda dreads the serious stuff in relationships, he wants everything to stay upbeat and lighthearted.

+ This means you're probably gonna have to take the lead communication-wise, it makes him super uncomfortable to talk about his real feelings.

+ He's such a good support system, though! He appreciates the balance between you two and it affirms his belief that you two are "meant to be".

+ Good at hiding it, but he is riddled with anxiety most days. Some handholding and a couple kisses would help him a lot though (his words, not mine lol).

+ PDA makes him nervous!! He tries to put on a tough face but you really should go easy on him if you guys are in front of other people, even his friends.

+ While working at the camp together, he'll use up most of his energy trying to get you to goof off with him, it doesn't matter how hard you try to stay committed to your responsibilities, you always end up somewhere secluded with your hands all over him. This results in a lot of reprimanding from Chris and too much teasing from the counselors.

+ "I can understand young love, Dylan, but your job comes first! The kids are counting on you, your friends are, I am… blah blah blah"

+ Chris makes such crappy arguments you're leaving your cabin that night to meet up with Dylan again.

+ He loves the thrill from disobeying authority, it makes him feel like a carefree kid again. It's why he likes to tease you a lot! He just loves playing around and wants to make you laugh.

+ Speaking of playing, the kids at the camp see him as one of their own since he's one of the few counselors who will take full part in their shenanigans. It's pretty cute until you find yourself being targeted by a child army under Dylan's command.

+ Takes the most pride in his humor, he adores the sound of your laugh so he'll do anything to hear it again and again.

+ Not necessarily the jealous type, but he can feel threatened if he sees you laughing a lot at someone's jokes.

+ Absolutely loves that he's taller than you even if it's only by a couple inches, he'll take any opportunity to remind you just how small you are compared to him. His signature move is coming up behind you and stretching his big arms over your whole frame to get what you were reaching for.

+ If you're taller than him, he's constantly standing on his tippy toes to close the gap. He secretly likes being smaller than you because he's usually the biggest person in the room and this lets him take on a different role for once.

+ He wants you to take the lead when you two get intimate, despite the attitude he can catch with the others, he's always been more than eager to do whatever you tell him to.

+ He's really so sweet, he loves being good for you.

+ Dylan's also got that secret smart side he likes to keep tightly under wraps unless he gets to flex in front of you lol. He's can't help but get cocky when he sees how impressed you are with his random quantum physics facts/rants.

+ A man who needs a lot of reassurance. It's hard for him to believe you actually want to be with him considering the fake personalities he plays into in order to 'protect' himself.

+ Needs someone who can see him as he is, who really likes him for him and not the persona he created to get through his nervous start at the camp.

"Jeez, no shit we're just casually walking around the forest like that. Wait, is this a date? Looks like a date to me."

You adjusted your backpack and turned around putting on a cheerful smile.

"Yes, Dylan. It is a date. Any objections?"

"No, no, none at all, my dear. You really could choose a different place though. Not that I'm complaining or anything. Although, you know, the adrenaline of meeting a bear could spice things up a bit. I guess."

You chuckled.

"Well, we should definitely dial the bears' number then. Anyway, I've been exploring a bit and, uh, I found this really cool place – "

"Wait, what? Exploring? The middle of the forest? Wow, you're tough. I mean I couldn't have done that. Wouldn't have. I prefer my safe, warm radioshack. Without bears and all that stuff. Sorry I interrupted you though. What were you saying, love?" He looked at you, a warm expression on his face.

"Yeah, well, first off, enough with the bears."

"You're the one talking about bears now."

"Dylan, you know what I mean."

"I dunno what you mean. Maybe bears?"

"Oh my gosh, please."

"Alright, alright. I'm done."

"I wanted to tell you that I found a really cool place here in the woods. And I thought I needed to show it to you. For the sake of... I dunno, for the sake of why not."

Dylan seemed to be a little surprised by your words.

"Damn. It's actually... Not gonna lie, it's actually kinda cute. You thought about me walking around that place? Awe, my heart." He placed his arm on his heart, playfully squeezing the fabric of his shirt.

"Yeah, yeah. Come on. It's not that far from here."

Continuing on your little journey, the two of you talked about all things that popped up in your minds. It wasn't too long for you to reach your destination though.

...

"Wow, yeah. This place is alright, Y/n. Really."

"Knew you'd like it. I mean really. Look around. The only thing here missing was a handsome boy. And now we got it covered."

Dylan laughed, looking around himself.

It was really lovely. Barely touched by human hands, nature here made you feel as if you are in another world. A couple of butterflies and bees here and there, lavender bushes, some fallen trees. And the greenery. The sun reflecting on the green leaves of trees practically made this little glade shine. Truly magical.

"This place feels surreal. I love it. No shit."

You opened your backpack to take all the stuff out of it. Placing a thin cover over the grass, you reached for the two cans of beer and some chips.

"This should get us comfy. I brought some beer, so suit yourself. I didn't actually bring us here for just admiring the views. Although, that, too. But I wanted to discuss something." You sat down on the cover.

"Woah, should I be afraid of some serious talk? Should I start running away?" Dylan sat alongside you, taking and opening one of the beer cans. "Please don't make me run away. I don't think I'll be able to find the right way to the camp. I will cry and hide somewhere in the bushes." He pointed at the lavender bushes. "Those seem nice."

You laughed, looking at the lavender and then back at Dylan.

"You know I wouldn't just let you die somewhere, Dillie. I would either kill you myself or rescue you with my mighty butt."

"It would've sounded really cheesy without that «kill you myself» part." Having said that, Dylan took a sip of his beer and looked at you passionately, leaning on his elbow.

"You know what else sounds cheesy? I, fucking, love you. When you give me that look I'm getting all lovey-dovey."

Dylan smiled, shaking his head a little. "That's the second reason why I keep giving you that look."

"Wow, and the other reason?" You said, taking your own can of beer.

"I, fucking, love you too."

You fell silent for a second.

"You didn't just– no way. That was kinda smooth." You laughed, opening your beer.

Dylan looked at you, raising his head. "You said you wanted to discuss something. What is it?" He straightened up his position.

"It's just that... Well, summer's ending soon. And this camp stuff ends even sooner. I mean, Emma told me she's gonna break with Jacob since it was «just a summer thing» for them. Will that... Will that be the same for us?"

Dylan looked down, carefully thinking about what to reply. You spoke up first though.

"I get that we're not Jacon and Emma, but the question still remains. I also don't think it's something you decide alone, without your partner, as Emma did. She's just gonna make Jake face the facts. I don't think it's the right way to do it. What do you think?" You asked, giving Dylan a troubled look.

"Listen, Y/n, as you pointed out, we're not Jacob and Emma. If you're... Well, if you're alright with all the long-distance stuff then we should be fine. It will be difficult but totally not impossible. And we still can visit each other. I mean, come on, we have internet and all. And airplanes. Airplanes are good stuff."

You were silent for a couple of moments. This time, Dylan used the opportunity to speak up once again.

First, he took a sigh.

"It's... Well. I sure don't wanna lose you. There's that. I mean... I finally feel like I connected to someone, you know? You are one of the most considerate people I've ever met. It's like you understand me to a level even I probably don't understand myself. And the most important thingie, well... I understand and feel you too. That's why it's not a one-way connection." He glanced at you, looking confident about his words.

"I... Dylan, you never told me about this. I felt like this too. Still do. I feel so comfy whenever I'm with you."

"Exactly. Closure matters, yeah, but not as much as the person themselves. I wouldn't want to end our relationship like this, because, well... It's special. For both of us. I mean, if you wanna dump my sweet ass, you can always do that. But just... Later, alright? My ass... Isn't ready yet."

You looked at him, little tears welling up in your eyes.

"No way, Dylan," You hugged him, practically smiling into his shoulder, still with tears in your eyes. "I wouldn't ever dump that ass of yours."

First, Dylan returned the hug, then faced you, smiling like a little boy. Pressing his lips onto yours, he took you by your elbow.

You snuggled up closer to him, responding to the kiss. It was full of delight, love and belief. A strong belief that everything will be just fine. There was no other reason to think otherwise now.

"Damn, I'm still the best kisser though," Dylan says, placing one long kiss on your lips. You interrupt it immediately.

"Oh, really? Well, hold my beer – "

"Just kidding, just kidding, love. Your kisses hit real good."

[1](Hackearney) Pokémon AU pt2 [3]

Slight yet to be made edit: I’m going to go back to the first post and exchange out Laura’s Blissey for either Braviary or Pidgeot

Also was going to make this for the counselors and the Hackett family but I’m just going to do it for the counselors. Unfortunately a lot of their Pokémon don’t have as much rhyme or reasoning

Hacketteers

Max Brinly

Max is sadly running a theme of “cute” Pokémon, I wasn’t really sure to do with him, so I aimed for Pokémon that also made me think of him in a way. I am debating if I want to add a canine related Pokémon to his party.

Munna; With Max doing things in game like hiding him failing to get into Landis and fear of how Laura would react. Munna is known to eat nightmares and I thought that was perfect for him.

Delibird;I love this goofy Pokémon and I wanted to give Max one that refelcted his more silly and kind nature. He feels like someone who would have a Pokémon that is known for carrying around food and the occasional random object.

Raichu; I wanted to give Max an electric Pokémon and then there’s also the fact that Raichu known to get aggressive when holding too much electricity in its body, which I related to Max holding too much in and how he has outbursts in certain selections with Laura

Jacob Custos

Much like in the the game he and Kaitlyn grew up together, with them having taken a lot of their Pokémon adventures together, both of them obtaining their Mega Rings together

Granbull; A big tough looking Pokémon that’s actually timid and scared is just a part of Jacob with the stereotypical frat boy appearance who carries more insecurities than associated with the role

Phanpy; The idea of of Jacob having and playing with an infant Pokémon that can easily knock his ass over is too cute. If he ends up hurt he hides that fact from Phanpy.

Heracross (mega evolution); Caught Heracross while in Kalos on an exchange school program with Kaitlyn. He and Kaitlyn entered a competition and where rewarded with a Mega Ring and he received a Heracronite stone

Passimian; One of the other Pokémon with a strong connection to Jacob and Kaitlyn’s friendship. While on a joint vacation with their families. They made a deal to capture Pokémon the other wanted. She caught Passimian and subsequently traded it to him.

Kaitlyn Ka

The more mature of them as always Kaitlyn is still Jacob’s childhood friend and was his only friend for a while. She actually pulled him along into the exchange school program for Kalos. She did it to be nice, but their time their is one of her favorite memories.

Leavanny; A somewhat motherly nature in this Pokémon. I paired it with Kaitlyn based on her comments about Nick and Abi being cute together and the fact that this Pokémon creates clothing for small Pokémon that it finds.

Absol (mega evolution); Absol has been with Kaitlyn most of her life having been with the Pokémon since its egg. Absol’s natural nature to warn of oncoming disasters pairs with Kaitlyn’s concern for safety. Absol can sense when more catastrophic choices are about to be made by Jacob others. Absol is normally out of its Pokeball

Drizzile; Skipped over Sobble and ended up catching Drizzile in the wild on her journeys.

Oranguru; One of the other Pokémon with a strong connection to Kaitlyn and Jacob’s friendship. While on a joint vacation with their families. They made a deal to capture Pokémon the other wanted. He caught Oranguru and subsequently traded it to her.

Dylan Lenivy

Didn’t give Dylan as many good choices for Pokémon as I wish I could have. Struggled with him a bit actually. Due to this he also didn’t receive any actual changes for this verse.

Ditto; Completely inspired by the whole “Dylan-Dylan” conversation

Delcatty; In lieu of “actual” cats I decided to give Dylan a Delcatty which also is an extremely chill Pokémon

Porygon2; Purely related to the area of Dylan’s area of actual interest. There may be a better non-Legendary Pokémon choice, but this was the best I could do.

Ryan Erzahler

In this AU Ryan has been a two time champion, he has since shied away from that field though he still gets recognized and talked about once and a while.

Whismur; a recent addition to Ryan’s team. He came upon the injured Pokémon one day and decided to nurse it back to health. He was originally going to let the Pokémon be on its way, but Whismur became attached and Ryan didn’t have it in him to send the Pokémon away.

Kecleon (shiny); Not much to say really, Ryan captured this Pokémon on his second run towards being a champion.

Lucario; Ryan’s starter that has been with him through thick and then. Many times when Ryan wanders off to do his own thing he lets Lucario out to just hang out with him.

Silvally; I thought Ryan needed a legendary and this was the best option I could think of. I just enjoyed that data that Silvally’s power is awakened by the trust it has in its trainer.

Abigail Blyg

A bit more open into this AU and making herself slowly known as an artist. She ends up on the contest scene a lot drawing and painting portraits for contestants and winners.

Smeargle; A typical choice I know but I couldn’t shake the thought of the art Pokémon being separate from Abi. Stereotypical, but I couldn’t help it.

Togekiss; A Pokémon known for avoiding strife, bringing gifts of kindness and seeking to settle itself in peaceful areas. It was a Togetic for the longest time. When she obtained a shiny stone Abi went a long back and forth on wheatear to use it or not. Togetic made the decision for her.

Wigglytuff; Recieved Wigglytuff when she traded a Mr. Mime with a family member. Wigglytuff is very protective of Abi making it troublesome when it’s out of its Pokeball. Wigglytuff has a bit of an attitude problem and getting it back in its ball can be difficult.

Nick Furcillo

I don’t even know. I have no idea what to do with Nick so I based his Pokémon on the two things I remember.

Roserade; Inspirited by his werewolf transformation. Roserade can attract prey (not referring to Abi as prey) and then attacks with poisonous thorn whips. Seriously I don’t think ill of Nick so don’t take this as me viewing him as secretly abusive or anything.

Swinub; Based on the boar incident. Again I don’t remember much for Nick and honestly I need to go back and re-learn everyone.

Emma Mountebank

Emma is still a vlogger in this AU and her Pokémon are featured in her videos. Much like Abi she’s on the rise as a popular sites at event. Emma frequenting contests and other events.

Hatterene (shiny); Despite her underlying issues Emma’s relatively chill nature makes Hatterene able to be chill with her in return. Despite what its natural nature Hatterene will comfort Emma in its own, albeit slightly rough manner. She’s also rather hostile towards Jacob, said hostility increases depending on how Emma is reacting. Emma has Hatterene frequently to always out, her particular Pokeball is also worn on Emma’s person.

Milotic; inspired by Emma not wanting to see anyone be unhappy. Milotic is able to calm hostile emotions.

Ariados; I like the sleek image of Ariados which goes along with the look of the former Pokémon, but I gave her this Pokémon because of Jacob. That’s why I chose the Pokémon but she had it prior to meeting Jacob.

And that’s it for the counselors. I wish some of my choices were better, but I’m happy with quite a few of them. Nick is the most frustrating.

Also I don’t know how this AU will go, but if the camp is present, it has many of the same activities, but has a few additions such as; berry mixing lessons, small Pokémon tournaments and Pokémon centered hikes for watching, campers are also allowed to catch Pokémon they see while at camp.
