So, we talk a lot about Quarry headcanons and what could have been on the Brainrot Discord server that Kat made and one of the things I keep thinking about is how they gave (at least some of) the characters these sets of skills that never really impact gameplay, and I think it would be really cool if they did. Like, if there was more variety in who could be sent on which path. Switching Kaitlyn to the Hackett house path with Laura and Ryan to the scrapyard with Dylan being a popular one for fanfic, but also, idk, maybe Dylan won't let Ryan go without him so he ends up on the Hackett house path too? Maybe Abi steps up to go with Kaitlyn to the scrapyard and has to figure out the crane even though it's way out of her skillset, maybe Emma and Jacob can actually come back and link up with the rest of the gang instead of being stuck out in the woods for so long, stuff like that.
I'm just thinking about what their skills might be and how that might impact the game. Also keep in mind that if the character you most need for a task ends up up dead before that task comes along, it's going to be carnage for everyone else, which would up the replay value significantly IMO.
Kaitlyn: Shooting. She's a MUCH better shot than Ryan, if we can believe the Shooting Stars scoreboard (four of the actual children attending the camp score higher than him), but we never see that in the game? What if the aiming mechanism was actually different between different characters? What if there were shots you could make more easily as Kaitlyn, that were harder to pull off as Ryan?
Ryan: Agility. Guy does a lot of running and jumping, what if there were timed segments that were easier to complete as Ryan within the allotted time, or else something consequential happened? Good luck if you ended up plodding along with Jacob instead, now Abi and Nick are both mauled and turning, or something like that.
Dylan: Tech. Dylan's the physics nerd who slays at the crane game. What if you could bring him to the Hackett house and he could figure out the electric circuit puzzle in no time, but that meant someone else had to help Kaitlyn in the scrapyard? Maybe Ryan can still save Jacob without him but he takes too much time and the Hacketts catch you and pick off one of your party.
Jacob: Strength. Jakey's probably the buffest of the dudes, so maybe there are times you need a pair of strong arms or legs and Jacob's the only one who can come through. They also show us him picking locks but he never does that in an impactful situation, so maybe he'd have a lesser talent for that as well.
Abi: Stealth. Okay, so Abi runs and hides? Maybe she's awesome at hiding, then? Maybe she can get through parts of the game undiscovered by the werewolves that other characters can't. Maybe her being short AF means she can fit into hiding spots that you can't cram the leggy bois like Dylan and Nick into.
Emma: Observation. Emma's always watching and analyzing everyone's behavior and documenting things on her phone. Maybe she can find evidence or tarot cards others can't, or put pieces of the mystery together in ways no one else thinks of. Emma's a badass in the game, but it would be cool to see her 'documentarian' side come in handy prior to the credits rolling, too.
Nick: Climbing. I completely made this up because we don't get to see Nick do much besides try to pull his crush, suck face on a dare with Emma, and get mauled, but we do know he takes kids through the ropes course based on his dialogue with Abi, plus he's tall so he's got long arms and legs! Maybe he's the aerial expert. Maybe he can scale fences and get important items down from trees. Maybe he can climb up and free other characters who get stuck in those snare traps. (Obviously this assumes someone else can be the Designated Werewolf Victim, which I also think would improve the game.)
This also assumes Laura and Max keep their current roles, but I'd be up for that to be changeable too. It's not that I necessarily want a higher number of choices available, I just want the choices we can make to actually impact the gameplay and story arc more! Anyway, that's my Quarry ramble for the day (unless I come up with another one). Anyone else have thoughts?

dylan lenivy relationship headcanons
+ As the self-proclaimed 'master of music', Dylan is always sharing songs with you. He gets so excited when he listens to something new and it makes him think of you, he has a long ass playlist of songs in your name.
+ He kinda dreads the serious stuff in relationships, he wants everything to stay upbeat and lighthearted.
+ This means you're probably gonna have to take the lead communication-wise, it makes him super uncomfortable to talk about his real feelings.
+ He's such a good support system, though! He appreciates the balance between you two and it affirms his belief that you two are "meant to be".
+ Good at hiding it, but he is riddled with anxiety most days. Some handholding and a couple kisses would help him a lot though (his words, not mine lol).
+ PDA makes him nervous!! He tries to put on a tough face but you really should go easy on him if you guys are in front of other people, even his friends.
+ While working at the camp together, he'll use up most of his energy trying to get you to goof off with him, it doesn't matter how hard you try to stay committed to your responsibilities, you always end up somewhere secluded with your hands all over him. This results in a lot of reprimanding from Chris and too much teasing from the counselors.
+ "I can understand young love, Dylan, but your job comes first! The kids are counting on you, your friends are, I am… blah blah blah"
+ Chris makes such crappy arguments you're leaving your cabin that night to meet up with Dylan again.
+ He loves the thrill from disobeying authority, it makes him feel like a carefree kid again. It's why he likes to tease you a lot! He just loves playing around and wants to make you laugh.
+ Speaking of playing, the kids at the camp see him as one of their own since he's one of the few counselors who will take full part in their shenanigans. It's pretty cute until you find yourself being targeted by a child army under Dylan's command.
+ Takes the most pride in his humor, he adores the sound of your laugh so he'll do anything to hear it again and again.
+ Not necessarily the jealous type, but he can feel threatened if he sees you laughing a lot at someone's jokes.
+ Absolutely loves that he's taller than you even if it's only by a couple inches, he'll take any opportunity to remind you just how small you are compared to him. His signature move is coming up behind you and stretching his big arms over your whole frame to get what you were reaching for.
+ If you're taller than him, he's constantly standing on his tippy toes to close the gap. He secretly likes being smaller than you because he's usually the biggest person in the room and this lets him take on a different role for once.
+ He wants you to take the lead when you two get intimate, despite the attitude he can catch with the others, he's always been more than eager to do whatever you tell him to.
+ He's really so sweet, he loves being good for you.
+ Dylan's also got that secret smart side he likes to keep tightly under wraps unless he gets to flex in front of you lol. He's can't help but get cocky when he sees how impressed you are with his random quantum physics facts/rants.
+ A man who needs a lot of reassurance. It's hard for him to believe you actually want to be with him considering the fake personalities he plays into in order to 'protect' himself.
+ Needs someone who can see him as he is, who really likes him for him and not the persona he created to get through his nervous start at the camp.

Silly headcanon time: how the counselors like their eggs cooked (assuming all of them eat eggs).
Ryan: doesn't like runny yolk, so any hard-cooked egg will do (hard-boiled, over-hard fried, hard scrambled). Scrambled eggs was one of the first things he learned how to cook and he made them for Sarah a lot growing up, so they're a beloved favorite.
Emma: was obsessed with eggs benedict for a while and learned to poach eggs speficially to make that dish. Now enjoys avocado toast with poached eggs on top whenever she can. Her breakfast TikToks put the rest of the for you page to shame.
Nick: knows how to cook eggs all kinds of ways and is usually the one making them for breakfast in group sleepovers; has everyone's preferences down pat. Enjoys egg in all its forms but prefers the classic sunnyside up egg; enjoys dipping bread and any other foods into the yolk. Usually has them when he feels like having a fancy breakfast.
Laura: also grossed out by runny yolk. I see her as likely to be vegan or vegetarian so they're probably not even part of her diet. Before she quit animal products she would have hard boiled eggs as mid-day snacks because they don't need much attention to make.
Jacob: American breakfast enthusiast, enjoys them soft scrambled or fried. Has been known to pour maple syrup over scrambled eggs and dip pancakes into the yolk on fried ones. Kaitlyn shames him for it every single time.
Abi: doesn't have a preference but the really cooked-through, dried yolk grosses her out a little. Usually has hers the same way the person she's eating with has them (feels like a fancy lady when she has brunch with Emma)
Dylan: wants to cook eggs the proper way but 1) he sucks at cooking in general and 2) gets distracted and then realizes his eggs are burning because of the smell. Bought himself the little container things to cook them in the microwave. Nick and Ryan were disgusted and apalled, damn bitch you live like this?
Kaitlyn: soft boil queen. Enjoys adding them into any random meal because it reminds of how her grandma included them in noodles and soup. Has them fried with breakfast and will go to town on them with Jacob.
Max: got used to not eating eggs because of Laura, but absolutely adores devilled eggs. His parents made them all the time growing up for birthdays and gatherings. He has his great aunt's recipe and makes a big batch for dinner parties with friends.

Jacob Custos
He may look like a jock (and act a bit like it sometimes), he has a HUGE heart. A true hopeless romantic in his core.
And right now, the boy's heart is taken by none other than you. Jacob is not the kind of guy to be oblivious to his own feelings. He likes you and he knows it, so he plans to act on it. Besides, you look like you might like him too.
So of course, he asks you on a date. When you accept, he's all giddy with happiness. But then comes a problem. He's a Hackett's Quarry. Normally, he'd take his date to the cinema or to eat somewhere. The camp's not exactly the best place to sweep someone off their feet.
There is one place though. The lake ! Which even leaves the possibility of skinny dipping open. Even better, it's far from the lodge and the cabins, so no possibility of getting caught by kids or Mr. H.
Implying, you two go there at night. With the days being so full of looking after the kids, Jacob wants privacy. He's got a lot of jokes and charming methods that can't be overheard by kids.
He obviously want to kiss you. If he feels a right moment he will go for it. Will stay light on the first date though.
Emma Mountebank
Oh, Emma. This girl lives for the thrill of adrenaline. And hanging out with you is like a shot of it. You have this addictive nature that she can't explain, but just loves.
Has no shame in being interested in you. Will flirt with you at any time. But wait, she doesn't do the obvious flirt Jacob might do. I'm talking seduction. Will brush your hand then stare at you and wink. Will give you that smirk.
One day, out of the blue, she leans into you at dinner and whispers to come to the lodge that night. Obviously you do.
The lodge at night just has another vibe, when it's dark. It's just the two of you there. Maybe doing some exploring of the rooms you don't usually go into.
If you're not an adventurous one, she'll try to stay put.
If you're not, she will want to go around Mr. H's rooms, just because she can. Explore the area.
If she feels you're up for it, she will make out with you on the spot. She loves the fun and the risk of getting caught. It just adds some spice.
Ryan Erzahler
When you look at Ryan, you see a blasé guy, brooding and mysterious. He has his own bubble, and you respect that. It's kinda hard to tell what he's feeling, or if he's feeling anything at all.
Boy if you knew. He's just bad at expressing himself, but he feels so much. Especially towards you. The boy's smitten, no matter how hard it is to tell.
He'll take his time before asking you on a date. To be sure. To get the courage and all. We're definitely into august by now. But time's getting short, and Ryan doesn't want to miss another opportunity.
You guys spend lots of time together during the day because of the timetables of your cabins. That's how you got to know each other. He'll casually ask you if you want to hang out later tonight. You block out a bit, asking to be sure if he means the night, or a date at all.
He wants to make it special. He doesn't look that way, but he's a romantic deep down. He panics a bit, not knowing what to do for the date. It's not his area of expertise. He gives it a lot of thought, and figures that what he does best is sailing.
So ! You meet at the lake, at the boat house. He got everything prepared, the rows and the boat.
At first, you hadn't expected Ryan to even break a single rule. But here you were, sneaking out a night for a boat ride ! And heck, he doesn't look very strong, but damn this boy has arms of steel.
Sadly he's probably too awkward to kiss you himself. It depends on if you take initiative or not for this one !
Nick Furcillo
Now, this boy's just shy. Has had this huge crush on you since the beginning of camp. Of course he wants to have more time alone with you, he's been dreaming of asking you on a date every night.
You'll have Jacob to thank for when Nick finally asks you out, because the big guy's been pestering him to do it for days and days.
It's a bit awkward when he asks. He may be hot af, but hasn't got no ladies yet. He's a bit clueless on how to do this, and Jacob's advice is... yeah. Eventually he gets more confident, especially when you say yes.
He tells you to meet him outside the cabins at night. But from here ? He has no idea what to do. When the time has come, he thought that he could take you on a walk to the forest, that's romantic right ?
But then. You casually mentioned that you're hungry. His mind did a full 360 and came with a new idea. You guys are now headed to the lodge ! You can barely keep up with Nick, he's so excited about his plan.
He takes you to the lodge's kitchen. You said you're hungry ? Name what you want. He'll cook it for you. You were not that hungry, a snack would have done the trick. But just to mess with him, you tell him that you want a full chocolate cake.
Oh, the mistake. Now he's getting all the supplies and measuring flour and sugar. Of course.
You decide to help him. Depending on how good you are at baking, this can be more or less chaotic. Either way, a food fight will ensue. You're covered in flour. You're both shushing each other because the laughs are so loud, you're scared to wake Mr. H up.
Once again, whether there's a kiss or not, it's up to you !
Kaitlyn Ka
Kaitlyn is a chill girl. Easy going and all. If she’s got the hots for you, she’s gonna understand it pretty soon. However, asking you on a date is another story. She may look all that confident, and she truly is, but on every angle.
You guys start off as good to really good friends, and she really doesn’t want to mess that up. She’s seen how friendships got ruined because of feelings.
So yeah, not straight out asking. It’ll take the help of the others to push her to finally get the courage to ask you on a date.
Once again, it’s during camp. Not your usual stuff to do. Once you said yes though, she just opts for the chill option. Sneaking out at night at the fire pit.
She’s a bit like Emma in the sense that she enjoys the danger of getting caught. Not as much though. So, when at the fire pit, she definitely lights up a fire. A small one though, not the usual huge bonfire.
You guys spend the date coddled up around the small fire, looking at the stars. If it went well and if the moment is right, Kaitlyn will try for a kiss. Short and brief, leaving the door open for you to do something more if you’re up to it.
She won’t push, but she’ll be head over heels if you do.
Dylan Lenivy
As we’ve seen with Dylan, this boy isn’t into hookups. You don’t have to be the love of his life for him to ask you on a date, but he won’t do it at first glance either.
He gets quick crushes easily, though. When you two met on orientation day at camp, his first thought was “god damn it they’re beautiful”. But hey, it’s Dylan we’re talking about. He didn’t even think that he had a chance with you.
You two start up as friends. Jesus, that guy makes you laugh sooo much. You pretty much hang out whenever you can. As time goes on, he realizes that maybe his crush isn’t as insignificant as he thought. In fact, it’s growing day by day.
Because he has no idea how to deal with emotions, he hides behind humor. It’s the only way for him to express with flirting, indulge him. At first you thought it was only just jokes and laughed it out. But as august rolled on, you noticed that half of his jokes were about getting a date with you.
Let’s be real, you would want a date with the boy. So one day as he was randomly saying “C’mon, a night out in the radioshack with this-” pointing at himself, “you’d definitely love it !”; you just answer “sure. yeah. How about tonight ?”. He straight up blanks out. Never ever before has an answer be so efficient to shut him up. All he can get out is a “yeah” stuttered.
He spent the whole day panicking. Did he actually had a date with you ? Was it even a date ? He’s 100% overthinking. As he sneaks up to the radioshack at night, sweating buckets, he half expected you not to come. When he does see you though, his heart starts doing somersaults.
It may be awkward a bit at first, but you guys are quickly laughing your asses off. It’s so fun to be there at night !
Dylan shows you around the hut. He explains how he basically repaired it, how he loves that place. You sit next to him as he shows you how all the sound system works, being all nerdy about it. You get to see a bit of his true persona, hidden behind the jokester, and it only makes you fall more.
Sneak in a peck on his lips at some point and he would be in heaven. I don’t see him being bold enough to do it at this point though.
Abigail Blyg
She is a very shy girl. Not only in relationships, in general. Her friends pushed her to be a counselor at Hackett’s Quarry. However, she doesn’t regret it all, especially since she got to meet you.
She’s discreet. There won’t be obvious signs that she’s into you. Buuut if you’re careful enough, you’ll notice that she’s staring at you when she thinks you aren’t looking. He gaze lingering just a moment too long.
After almost all summer being into you, the others finally pushed her enough for her to want to ask you out. She won’t admit it out loud though, she hates breaking the rules.
Except when it involves you, it seems...
She won’t call it a date, she’s not bold enough sadly. But, she will succeed in asking you on a walk. Curse the heavens, you were actually busy with the children when she asked you. You’re the one suggesting a rain check after curfew.
She seems to hesitate a bit, but when your eyes lock, she agrees.
Spends the day biting her nails, worrying about tonight. She’s an anxious cookie. It’s fun when the children in her art class notice and ask her if she has a secret. She blushes as red as the apple she’s trying to paint.
You meet at the tree in the middle of the cabins. You’re a bit surprised because Abi still wants to go take a walk into the forest. But fear not ! She actually knows a certain spot, she can go there even at night. She found it by randomly wandering during the day.
You guys sit on a log, illuminated by the NOT FULL moon. Her artists instinct kick in and she has the sudden urge to draw you. And it’s so beautiful, getting to see yourself the way she sees you.
If you’re being smooth enough in what you’re saying, you may very well get Abi to kiss you !

Of the quarry counselors, who do you think is good or bad at dancing and what types of dances do you think they'd like?
Oh this is fun!
Ryan - I feel like Ryan feels awkward dancing around other people, and so pretends to be bad or not know how to dance. His grandparents taught him simple older dances like the waltz, and he taught himself some dances (I think @chrashley had the headcanon that he taught himself kpop group choreo and I can see it).
Dylan - I am torn between this man tearing up the dance floor and being completely unable to dance. Like maybe he has natural rhythm but doesn't know what to do with it. He gives it his all whenever Mr Brightside comes on though.
Kaitlyn - I feel like Kaitlyn did ballet as a kid, hated it, and then switched to hip hop before she got out of dance to pursue martial arts or track. She kept up her flexibility though and loves to show it off when given the opportunity.
Emma - Emma strikes me as the dance competition kid. She danced all through high school and was probably on her university dance team her first year of undergrad. She knows every viral tiktok dance and teaches the kids at camp.
Abi - She just sways her hips or bounces to the beat, but she gets too anxious to try anything more complicated around others. In her bedroom though she is perfecting the Charleston and pretends she is at those old-timey clubs where they actually dance like this.
Jacob - This man jumps and fist pumps and that is all dancing is to him. He will step on your toes if you try to dance with him. He is very enthusiastic about songs that tell you how to dance (cupid shuffle, cha cha slide, etc).
Nick - I believe this man is a very good dancer. He is an enigma to me so I feel like he could have done ballroom dancing as a hobby, and really knows how to tango. Perfect wedding date. Will dip you.
Laura - Laura can do the Hoedown Throwdown like nobody's business. I don't think she has any training but she is observant enough to watch what other people are doing and emulate it enough that she is a pretty good dancer at a party.
Max - Max has two left feet, he really is not a good dancer. But the few times he does dance he is so genuine and excited to dance that anyone around him can't help but smile. He likes to spin Laura and dances to pop songs like Ed Sheeran.

You hate how your heart squeezes when you pass Dylan. There’s a lump in your throat, tears in your eyes, and a heavy, choking feeling wrapping around your chest. It hurts. It hurts so badly and you can’t help it. You try, though. You definitely try. Mantras of “I can’t like him, he’s just a friend” and “it’ll never happen, just stop trying” fill your head every second of every day. It never works out.
Your heart pounds just a bit faster when he’s in the room. You can’t help but laugh at his stupid, sarcastic attempts at masking his inner self. You know his inner self. You love his inner self, shown to you through bits and pieces and sometimes big chunks all at once. You want to know every nook and cranny of his brain.
You’ve fallen for him headfirst and there’s very little you can do about it.
He doesn’t like you back, though. That’s something you’re sure of. His heart surely never beats in tandem with yours, and you’ve never noticed his cheeks becoming redder when talking to you, but maybe you’ve just never looked. You mentally curse yourself for ever thinking that at all. You need to lose whatever fantastical notion you’ve put inside your fucked up head.
Maybe you can’t quench these feelings. Maybe you’ll always love him, pining for your summer camp crush when you’re in a loveless marriage, taken by the only person who has ever paid any semblance of attention to you. You scramble for solutions, trying to wrap your head around something, anything that could put an end to your hurt. Finally, after hours of thinking, you stumble upon one thing that just might work. Ignoring him.
It’ll hurt for sure. He’s your best friend at camp and you seriously don’t think you can live without his crappy jokes, but it must be done. Surely he’ll lose interest, stop talking to you, and even become resentful of your standoffish attitude. If you can make him hate you, maybe you’ll lose the love you hold for him and his beautiful brown eyes.
So that’s what you do. Every time he walks up to you, you turn around and start walking the other way. You find every excuse in the book and list them when he tries to hang out with you. You talk to the others when he’s right in front of you, silently pleading for you to just pay attention to him.
You need to get rid of this ache in the empty space in your chest, ever-beating and making things so, so much harder. Therefore, you must continue. It’s simple cause and effect. Ignore him, lose feelings. That’s what you tell yourself.
It hurts. And you hate it. And it must continue.
Dylan hates it just as much as you do. There’s this sinking feeling that pulses through his body the minute you turn away, and it makes him feel helpless. Useless. If he can’t be something to you, then what’s the point?
He thinks it’s something he did that sparked this new trend of ignoring him, and it really hurts to see the person he thinks highly of deliberately avoiding him.
There has to be something, anything that can bring you together again, he thinks. If not as lovers than as friends. He just can’t let you resent him for any longer.
There’s this spot you like to go to when you’re thinking, and he knows it as well as you do. Of course he does, he was with you when you found it. So, when you disappear again, he knows where to go.
“Shut up. You need to shut up and get your stupid head away from hi-“
“Am I interrupting something?” He calls. You turn around so quickly you almost get whiplash.
“Dylan. Hi. I didn’t expect to see you here.” Your voice sounds strained, almost forced. Like you were greeting an annoying acquaintance after years of not seeing them. In the back of his mind, though, Dylan thinks he can almost see the spark of familiarity that makes your eyes so full of life.
“I just thought… I don’t know. Maybe we should. Uh. Talk. No jokes this time.” He fidgets with the corner of his shirt. It’s extremely obvious he’s uncomfortable with the energy that has settled around the both of you, shrouding your hope in a thick layer of gloom.
“Now might not be the best time.” You smile, but it falls short of your eyes.
Taking initiative, and praying to whatever higher power may be overlooking the situation, Dylan cuts you off. “No. We need to talk. At least before camp ends. C’mon, you can’t think I don’t notice how you act around me now. The whispering behind my back. The whole running away thing. What’s going on with you?”
You stumble on your words. “Nothing’s going on. Nothing you would understand, anyway.”
“Try me.”
“I don’t think I should.” You smile again, more genuinely this time. There’s a crack of your familiar humor shining through your tough shell.
“As I said, try me.” He smiles back. The tension seems to have eased just the slightest bit, just enough for you to think ‘fuck it’ and ruin your friendship for good.
“I like you.”
“And I like you. That’s why I came out here instead of being nice and cozy in my cabin.”
“As more than a friend. I like you a lot. I’ve liked you for so long.”
His eyes widen and he mouths an ‘oh’ before, to your horror, grinning. It’s exactly what you’ve been afraid of this whole time. He hates you. You’ve just lost your good friend because your stupid feelings got the upper han-
“That’s why you’ve been avoiding me like shit in a kiddie pool?”
You can feel a lump in your throat as you choke out a “yeah”. Your eyes begin their familiar routine of stinging as they fill with tears before a pair of warm hands grasp your shoulders.
“Me too.”
“Huh?”
“I like you too.” He leans in, whispering directly into your ear. “As more than a friend.” His newfound confidence quickly dissipates and he’s left tripping over his words, the approximate distance of your body to his filling his mind. “Seriously though, what the hell was your thought process? ‘I’ll just avoid him until he hates himself! Haw haw haw!’” He attempts to imitate your voice, causing both of you to come down with a case of the giggles.
“I just figured it was like cause and effect. Cause: avoiding Dylan. Effect: losing feelings.”
“That’s…” he squints in your direction. “I don’t want to say stupid, but it totally is. Especially for you, smarty mc smart pants.”
You look at him skeptically. “Smarty mc smart pants?”
“Totally. It’s your new nickname now.” He wiggles his eyebrows.
“So, what are we now?” You’re hesitant with this question. It feels almost too soon and not soon enough at the same time, but you have to know.
“Kissing.” He grins, his hand working its way up to your jaw.
He presses his lips against yours, and in the whole entire history of the world, nothing has ever felt as right as this.
Cause: avoiding Dylan.
Effect: getting a boyfriend.

How do you think Travis feels about pet names; either his SO calling him something or him using them with his SO?

see people might disagree with me on this one (and feel free to! this is just my opinion and how I choose to portray him) but-
I'm not sure Travis would really have a nickname other than T.
I feel like Chris would have given him that as a kid.

I don’t even feel like he’d be one for giving people many nicknames either.
Caleb and Kaylee, he maybe follows suit with what Chris uses- as long as it’s not toooo cutesy. His pride would never let him have that.
like bud or sweetheart is fine, But “pudding pop, gorgeous.” -NOPE.
SO…they maybe give him a nickname and term of endearment. And it would stun him the first few times it’s uttered, but eventually he’d get used to it and never bring it up.
his version of a term of endearment for his SO would probably be a shortened version of their name. Or initials to follow tradition…
Maybe an animal nickname if he’s daring. Ex- “Mouse.”
Edit: ya know what- as long as it isn’t something that cringes him out. It could work.
(He would be self conscious using certain nicknames in front of other people though, ESP if it sounded outside the norm)
For a child of his own- maybe/probably.
Overloaded by cuteness he’s more likely to whip out the “sweetheart, bud…”

jacob isn’t just in love, he’s down bad. you’re his phone background, he carries a picture of you in his wallet, and wears all the gifts you could possibly give him. hell, he could even get a tattoo of your name if he feels like it because when jacob falls in love, it just means that you’re the one he’s been looking for.
he knows your schedule by heart and would literally remind you of your appointments if he realizes you forgot about it like “hey babe don’t forget you have to go to the dentist at 2pm”, works even better than your phone alarm. he’s also one to drive you everywhere even it it means he has to wake up at 5 in the morning or go to bed at 2am.
jacob is 100% into pda, probably because he loves to show you off. most likely because you’re his safe place and he feels at peace everytime you’re around him. it’s either holding hands, or him placing his arm around your shoulders… or him piggybacking you in the city. because jacob wants to show you that he’s strong and muscular and all the good things in the world, he always wants to carry you or your bags: anything you have with you, really. there’s no way a princess like you should be carrying her stuffs around, anyway.
he’s the most supportive boyfriend you could ask for. always there to clap and yell your name when you do something (just like an embarrassing proud dad, honestly…). it’s not like he’s extra or anything, he’s just so happy to see you doing the things you like that it gets overwhelming for him.
jacob is a real life teddy bear. his hugs are always so warm and comforting they steal all your pain and worries away. he will understand something’s wrong as soon as his eyes land on your face and will do anything to help you: figuring things together is a must for him, and to know that you trust him enough to talk to him about your problems truly makes him feel loved and cared for.

QUALITY TIME — Preferred over most everything else, Ryan likes to spend time with you, alone if he gets the chance. He's the type of person that indulges in comfortable silence far more than he probably should. Even when you're both doing your own thing, paying little attention to the other, he treasures that time spent together. He might deny it, but he's constantly catching glimpses of you when you're in your own world, the way you get all focused on the task at hand makes his heart melt. He might invite you over some days, solely in pursuit of completing some chores he's been meaning to get to. Ryan claims your presence has helped him get more done than any other technique (aside from Chris' badgering). Wouldn't mind if you wanted to join in when he listens to Bizarre yet Bonafide ; it'd give him a rare opportunity to talk about everything they investigate on the podcast.
ACTS OF SERVICE — During the summer when camp is in session, he gives you some of his phone privileges to listen to music or play the games he's previously installed for his sister. Always gets the door for you, any and every door you might encounter when you're with him. Definitely doesn't do it just to hear the simple praise you're bound to give him. Notices the small stuff. Largely apparent in the way he catches sight that your shoes are untied, admittedly faster than you would've. He takes no time in dropping to the ground, fingers swiftly making loops with the laces. More than willing to give you hand massages, he takes the time to trace the lines of your palms, something he knows both you and him are fond of.
PHYSICAL TOUCH — Ryan's family isn't a very (physically) affectionate one, to say the least. By reason, he pretty much keeps his hands to himself unless you tell him not to. He really warms up to the whole ordeal after a month or two together, he'll reach out first instead of waiting for you to initiate contact. Still, he remains hesitant with his touches, the unpredictability of your reaction directly clashes with his unwavering lack of confidence in romance. Be that as it may, simple reassurances on your end are enough encouragement for him to keep going. His favorite acts include: interlocking pinky fingers, soft rubs on the back, kisses on the cheek, and an overdue embrace after a long day.
WORDS OF AFFIRMATION — Truthfully, he's not the best at expressing how he feels, oftentime seeing a challenge in finding the right words. He's not the most social individual, communication is something he's still actively working on. Talking with vulnerability, specifically about how he feels, is something Ryan's never been accustomed to. For your sake, though, he tries to express his feelings as best as he can. Mostly resorts to using amateur compliments, but some nights he'll rest his forehead against yours and whisper that he loves you. In terms of receiving, Ryan absolutely adores words of affirmation. He just wants to be told that he's doing good, that you like him just as much as he likes you. It doesn't take more than a simple 'Good job!' from you to make him a little weak in the knees.
GIVING/RECEIVING GIFTS — Not the type to go all out on physical gifts. He's someone who doesn't hold a lot of value in material possessions (besides his phone), rather opting to take you out somewhere as a present. If he happens to come across a keychain or plushie that reminds him of you while shopping, it'll turn into a little something extra after a night together/date. When it's the other way around, he can hardly hold back the excitement that sprints across his face when you present him with a gift. Presumably, it'll end up displayed on his desk at home or in a specially marked box (full of your other presents) to preserve the condition of what you've given him.

Dylan -
Def had glasses, wore contacts during summer camp bcz he didn’t want ppl to poke fun of him.
Sleeps like he’s snug as a bug with a weighted blanket (steals the whole cover if in the same bed).
Silly socks enthusiast, he packed so many silly socks.
Vans / slip-on shoes wearer.
Love language falls between physical touch + words of affirmation.
Ryan -
Would try find secluded areas to just listen to his podcasts in peace (under the lodge, radio hut, forest etc.)
Converse / boots wearer.
Very private about his sketchbook (for example; we see Abi drawing publicly a lot, I feel like Ryan would only ever use his sketchbook when there was nobody around).
Is banned from playing monopoly, he’s too stubborn and gets annoyed when “people” (Dylan, Nick, Jacob) don’t play the game by the rules.
Love language falls between gift giving + quality time.
Jacob -
Would run outside with no shoes, only white socks if even that.
Also banned from monopoly (flipped the board, he’s not allowed within 5 feet of the game anymore).
Boots / crocs wearer (I’m right and you know it).
Would punch a pillow, throw rocks, kick objects (and get hurt) when frustrated. Would them complain about getting hurt and get more angry.
“He’s actually… really sweet.” Would literally die for those he loves, love language is acts of service.
Nick -
Would mirror Dylan and Jacob’s energy when around him but would go quiet and secluded when alone. The three nicknames themselves “the big three”, everybody hates the big three /silly.
Slip-on shoes / padded shoes wearer.
Was a really good cook, the campers would make their meals in Health Economics class and ask Nick for his opinion (Nick would always say it was good no matter what).

Max -
“Honey, hun, sweetheart” etc. for Laura, everybody else gets “T-dog, big guy, champ, buddy” etc.
Wears ring necklace, Laura has one too, they’re promise rings.
Has the worst handwriting known to man, writes in big betters that practically overlap.

halloween is coming up! what is everyone going as and what are they doing this fine hallows eve? including: emma, abi, nick, jacob, ryan, dylan, and kaitlyn
notes: not proofread bc i’m lazy and also this is the shittiest thing i’ve written in a while sorry 😭
Emma has pre-recorded something halloween-y to upload on the 31st so she can go out and party but still keep her fans happy! She’s going as Sidney Prescott, the final girl of Scream, and has convinced you to match costumes with her! Wether you’re another slasher victim or the slasher themselves is up to you, just know that she’ll be taking as many photos as she possibly can <3 She’s going to have a cute halloween picture of the two of you as her wallpaper for the next 5 months so make sure you look good…
Abigail isn’t a party person, but if that’s your thing she’ll go along with it— just not for too long. When you’ve gotten tired of partying (if you do so at all) she’ll be waiting at home for you. But don’t worry! She’s not mad, after all, everyone enjoys some alone time! She’ll snuggle into you for some movie time and probably fall asleep halfway through lol. She isn’t one for full costumes for halloween, but she’s definitely going to put some effort into some cute but spooky makeup for the day like bat-wing eyeliner or spiderwebs on her cheeks! <3
Nick is probably out partying and is going as something dumb and lazy like “myself, but with a mustache!” because he didn’t even realize it was halloween until the day of said party. If you’re not a party person though, he’s willing to give that up and stay home with you :)
With his missing hand, Dylan would make a perfect Ash Williams, which is coincidentally his favourite horror movie character (definitely not because 80s Bruce Campbell is hot…), so get ready to have an Evil Dead marathon! It’s definitely happening. He’s also 100% handing out candy to kids and complimenting their choice of costumes, he’s very cute like that ;)
Ryan absolutely LOVES halloween, and has made a movie lineup for the two of you 2 weeks in advance… He’s going to dress up as someone from an old horror movie that has an iconic yet subtle outfit, like one of the characters from The Blair Witch Project or someone from a Saw movie (which are a couple of his halloween favourites :)) He’s definitely going to talk through most of the movies, telling you random shit about them and picking apart plot holes but it’ll be fun anyways.
Although he loves attention, believe it or not, Jacob isn’t a fan of parties, he also isn’t a fan of horror, so picking out a fun halloween activity that both of you will enjoy is going to be a struggle. If you’re set on watching horror for halloween night, he’s going to be clinging to your arm the whole time and hiding under a blanket (he’s definitely cute like this though so no complaints) please reassure him and give him plenty of kisses when you’re going to go to sleep though because he’s gonna be scared shitless
Kait isn’t a huge halloween person, but she’s still going to use it as an excuse to dress up as a cute vampire or something lmao. Other than that, she’s going to work like regular, spending her evening like usual and so on. If you’re a halloween person though, she’s willing to give up a normal day to do what you want! You want to go party? Sure! You want to stay home and
