Homebrew-ish Dvati conversion from 3.5e to 5e. It’s mostly homebrew, but it’s not mostly mine. This is a compilation of Dvati stuff I found and liked. Feels overpowered but it scored 29 on the race balancing score sheet, so maybe it’s not super overpowered. Who knows.

Finally playing some DnD after such a long time!!
This is my character:
Tumblr media
Lee playing the flute and Llyra playing the lyre.
They are a Dvati; a homebrew species I kind of fell in love with?
Llyra died in an attack on their hometown and devastated, Lee went hunting for a way to bring back his other half from begging the gods to making deals with demons, but nothing has worked.
Grieving not for the first time over another failure, he finds himself playing his woes in the town square.
Where else can he go from here...?

Here is my DnD 5e character a Nephalem called Venditti forged through the fusion of the demon Static and Angel Unix. Venditti is an wish granting entity who wishes come with monkey paw effects.
Venditti confronted their past self, initiating a clash that twisted time and deepened their paradoxical existence. They only existed through the fusion of Static and Unix into a singular being. This battle ensnared Venditti in perpetual turmoil, with their distinct personas in constant rivalry. The fusion's instability led to periodic separation into Static and Unix, followed by eventual re-merging. However, Venditti persisted in their pursuit of power, exploiting technological advancements to resume their role as bestowers of wishes. Nevertheless, these wishes came with an monkey paw effect imbued with irony, Amid this situation, a 16-year-old sorcerer named Zalen Bozart sought Venditti's assistance, driven by a desire for fame and fortune. Venditti is very showman like in personity and charming. Venditti occupied a place within the cosmic hierarchy as a member of the Council of the Multiverse, alongside other enigmatic entities.

Day 15 (Legend)
Our DnD party is in the process of uhhh attempting to defeat this badass Tabaxi Dvati pair (and/or simply escape with our lives, that would also be acceptable).
We've been chasing rumors about them since we started.

These are my dvati twins. Well, a rough concept anyway. I’ve got a couple months to get them right. Think their skin needs to be darker. It looked dark when compared to the lightest version but looking now they look too pale. Yes, I literally just made one design and mirrored it. They’re meant to be like that. The flavor text for the “race” is
“It was like looking at a reflection in a mirror, except both of them could swing a sword at me. Before I knew it, I was outflanked and trying to duel the same person twice. I was on my back foot, and then I was just on my back. When they sheathed their identical rapiers and helped me up, I couldn't even tell which one I had offended in the first place.”
Their names are Silvester and Silas. They were born in a small seaside village that didn’t see a lot of outsiders. The people were close-minded and superstitious, and didn’t take well to the mirror image twins who were just too in sync. They found it unnatural and, well, creepy. Tried of being treated like freaks in their own home, the teen twins hopped on the first ship they could out of there. They stowed away, but the captain, upon discovering them, was kind enough to let them stay aboard, so long as they did their share.
Though they can communicate perfectly with each other practically without words, they find it harder to interact with others. They’re not good at reading other people, and often leave out parts of sentences that between each other would have just been given. They’ve learned to cope by being overly straightforward and honest with others. And yet, it’s an endearing feature. (aka they have low wisdom but decent charisma).
Being one soul in two bodies, they hate being apart. They agreed a long time ago that if they ever settled down romantically it would likely be with the same person (assuming they were with just one). They don’t currently have any great, grand goals in life, and no real place to call home. They are an adventurous soul, and as long as they’re together they’re up for anything.

Damaia and Kiana Didymo
Tumblr media
Damaia and Kiana are wildmagic sorcerer dvati twins. Damaia and Kiana Didymo’s parents did not know that they were going to be having twins, let alone dvati twins. They certainly did not know their children would end up wildmagic sorcerers, and were woefully unprepared for having to take care of their children with all their strange and destructive abilities. As minor nobles, they were able to afford servants to help; but all of the servants charged with this caretaking left at one point or another, claiming that the children were devils and could not be helped.
The parents did their best to find their children a teacher, another sorcerer who could teach them to control their powers; and they did find one, an old halfling woman named Demina who was a wildmagic sorcerer as well. After spending some time with the twins, she informed the parents that there were multiple problems: one, that the twins didn’t just have wildmagic— they also had the blessing of some god, and they would have to find a cleric or someone to get that sorted out. The other problem was that it wasn’t that the twins didn’t have control over their magic— in fact, they had a relatively good grasp on it, she told them. The problem was that Damaia and Kiana simply liked destroying things.
Their parents took them to a cleric to see what could be cleared up with that: it turned out that Ralishaz, the god of insanity and misfortune, had taken a liking to the twins with their unusual combination of wildmagic and dvati-ness. That was about the moment their parents knew there was nothing that could be done for the twins except try to guide them on the right path, which was proving increasingly difficult seeing as the twins had picked up the hobby of pranking, in combination with their already-destructive tendencies.
Damaia and Kiana grew closer while the rest of the world grew distant from them. Their pranks became larger and more destructive, until at the age of 16, the twins “accidentally” set their own house on fire. Their parents escaped, terrified of what their children had become; and the twins left the city, not eager to face the consequences for arson, and far more eager to make their way around destroying things in more pranks.
As their destruction continued for a little more than a year, a bounty was placed on their heads. The twins continue to travel, evading this bounty and wreaking havoc wherever they go.
