Human+

I've kinda seen a couple people use this term casually, but afaik there's no actual definition or symbols or anything. I really identify with it, so I figured I'd make some!

Human plus is an alterhuman identity where one is human as well as something else, or human but also more than human somehow, or anything along those lines. Basically, it's when one is human, but that's not all.

The definition is loose on purpose. There's no wrong way to identify with this term; I don't like gatekeeping, and I didn't even invent the term, so it'd be kinda silly to tell people how they can use it.

For me, that means I'm human plus cat, since I'm dualspecies. Human is my primary species identity, but it's not all I am.

The symbol I came up with is pretty simple: just a human palm with a plus sign cut out of it. It's 100% free to use; credit is appreciated but not required, as long as you don't claim you made it. You're also free to change it, or remake it if you can do better than me, as long as, again, you don't take credit for the original design/idea.

Sometimes I hate being dualspecies. Like, I want to be a cat physically. But not permanently. I like being human. I’m just also sometimes a cat. I’m working on liking my human body, and generally I do like it, I just wish I could be a cat sometimes too. If I got any body mods, I’d sometimes like them, but I’d feel less human, and being human is important to me. They’d probably make me euphoric sometimes and dysphoric other times.

I think that, along with being trans, might be why I wanted to shapeshift so bad as a kid. I wish I could have whatever body I wanted. I don’t identify as a shapeshifter in a ‘kin way, or a species way, cat and human are my only species, but I wish I had the body of a shapeshifter. I want so badly to be able to try out as many different forms as humanly/catly possible.
