The road to stardom is a tough one, filled with many trials budding artists have to endure and yet the smiles from your performance makes it all worth it. 

Welcome to mah kitchen where I cook up sweet AUs for you! On today’s menus is an AU that takes place in modern. While it’s urban fantasy (to keep zel as goddess and her elf ears) it’s more or less taking place in current year, magic is a dying force and only a few possess it, the world mostly has the same tech and junk as we do or really any modern verses to make up for low resources on magic! With that said, let’s hop into it!

Zelda is a budding artist, making a striking entrance in the pop scene. Though she didn’t pursue this dream as she had another one in mind she does strive to do her best to perform the best that she could for her fans and at times works far too hard to memorize dance routines expected of music shows as well as training her vocals if only to further improve her talents. She’d enter the music world through a competition show that her father and friends would push her into doing, and while she didn’t win first place she was in the finals with a few other rivals in the show’s setting. People noticed the amazing stage presence she had, how easy it was for her to portray whatever character she’s meant to take on/emotions the song is meant to provoke and well, being a goddess it goes without saying that she has strong visuals. In fact, fans of her are a bit upset on how she’d lost the show. 

But lucky for her, she would become a solo artist after becoming a trainee under a fairly new label which would recruit her with the promise of fame, it was tough, emotionally and physically exhausting but she persists through it all. And after weeks of training, she passes with flying colors and gets to work with singing her first song.

So far, she’s only released a single as a means of dipping her toes in the water. Her manager had wanted to do a secret midnight release album but Zel is a bit nervous to work on a full album as such she turns down the offer. While she believes this to be a good move on her part, it would cause for some to believe that she would be a one hit wonder. That said, her song was a hit and though it didn’t reach the status of best selling song it was on rip off billboards in the top numbers. From there, she’d work on her debut album, with the plans of releasing five songs. As of now, she’s working hard to sing the songs and practice dance routines.

She’s able to walk around in public, with some recognizing her and paparazzi not giving her much attention since she’s not a bigger star she does get to enjoy time outside when not working and hang out with friends while enjoying time with her only family, her dad! 

She actually plans on retiring from the idol world in fairly short time, perhaps once her contract is up in order to pursue her dreams of attending collage to go into the writing field as she adores reading and wishes to write her own stories!!

She’s known to be very cute and bubbly and outgoing, noted by hosts in the few interviews she’s been in. Her name is based off after the video game character Princess Wilda from The Legend of Wilda series, it’s a little embarrassing to her but her parents adored that series. 

There are some who believe that she won’t make it, is overrated and think she’s just acting once the cameras roll on her. She rarely reads whatever comments people may post because she knows it’ll hurt her feelings and destroy her self-confidence. She pretends to not see it and wishes to enjoy music.

With that out of the way: let’s get into the meat of this: she’s a goddess. Granted one reborn into a human but divine powers still run through her veins. She’s unaware of the fact that she’s a god at the moment, and Impa, the immortal agent to the goddess, is currently searching for her to impart the truth that once, she was a god known as Hylia. A powerful, all-knowing goddess who protected the humans upon Farore giving life to the planet. Hylia would eventually pass away, not at the hands of Demise but due to lack of faith as over the years, she’s forgotten by many in the more modern times, but thanks so certain cults who believe that someday she’ll return to bring salvation to the lands once more, she’d be reborn into a mortal. As well as the more nefarious folks who wish to have her godly powers, which would result in Zelda’s death considering she needs that divine essence because that’s more or less attached to her soul.

Lucky for Impa, Zelda appearing on tv would make her search easier, she does not believe that people aside from herself would know that Zelda=Hylia but sooner or later will figure out. Especially after on broadcast in particular where bits of Zel’s divine energy would leak out during her performance of her single. While many believe this to be faulty broadcasting or a misplaced light, there’s much more to that. As of now, Zelda has no control over her powers and she can’t control it. It comes and goes... and something she’s noticed as she grew older and older. She tries to keep this a secret as best as she can.
