A "Perfect" Vacation Ch 4
The days leading to Summer Break now seemed like a crawl of Doom. Now that the news of Madame Prim's escape was seen, most parents were reluctant to even let their kids go outside until she was found. The Brand system had installed a new security system that let out a loud alert should anyone even LOOK at the property, while Emma's father paid half of the police force to protect her daughter from the Perfection obsessed woman.
When the final day of school DID come, there was...less enthusiasm than one would think. Most of the students had to rush home rather than leisurely enjoy the walk back from school. The kids met up as they too had to hurry back home before their parents noticed, however, Ren told Yuri that Kaylo wasn't in school that day. Getting worried, the kids decide to visit her to see if she was alright (and secretly hoping that she didn't get kidnapped by a vengeful Prim)
The kids walked to the Bruno Mansion, only to be off put by the large men in black suits, all with tags that say "Security". Yuri walked closer to the doors of the Bruno home, but one of the men held out his hand in front of her, making her jump back with a gasp "Erm...We were uh, gonna..." she started, but was cut off by the man saying in a deep voiced "Name?". "Oh...Uh...Y-Yuri. Yuri Brand. We're friends with the Brunos." She said.
The man raised an eyebrow "Yeah. A lot of people say that." He said, giving Yuri a HARD stare. That's when the door popped open, and the pink head of Kaylo appeared. "It's OK guys. They really are my friends!" She said. The man nodded "Of course. Sorry for the confusion Miss Bruno." He said before the two of them stepped aside. "Sorry about that guys. My mom has been a bit paranoid after seeing the news." She said.
"So...your mom called in the FBI?" Leo asked. Kaylo gave a giggle "Nope! These guys are Mom's old security team during her performance years." She explained "She asked in for a favor after watching the news, and now I have the men in black surrounding my home." The kids carefully looked outside, and saw the guards tackle a teen outside, who had been holding a donut.
"You think this is a bit TOO much?" Rebecca asked. Kaylo shrugged "I don't know...I will admit, I'm a bit worried too. Even if it is Summer vacation, and we get 3 months of sun and fun, it just seemed like a dark cloud just rolled over and ruined it." She said sadly. Mei placed a hand on her shoulder "I'm sure they'll find her sooner or later, and then we'll be able to enjoy the vacation out of school." She said.
Kaylo gave an uneasy smile "I wish I could say the same...but there is absolutely nothing in this world that could make me enjoy the summer." She said. Suddenly, one of the security guards walked to her mom "Miss Bruno. You have received something in the mail" He said, handing her an envelope. Thea looked curiously at the letter in his hand as she carefully opened it, inside there was a note that read the following:
To Miss Thea Bruno.
I cordially invite you to the grand, private opening of ʻO ka huakaʻi hele maikaʻi loa (also known as The Perfect Getaway) for a week long vacation, and a performance for a publicity stunt for when we open to the public. You may bring all you desire, but please keep all information about the hotel secret until we open the hotel to the world. Please read the brochure of what My hotel has to offer. See you soon!
Signed Ka lā Tropica
Thea re-read the letter to see if she missed anything, before pulling out the mentioned brochure of the hotel and all it had to offer. She then looked to her saddened daughter. "Hey Kaylo....I know what might cheer you up..." She said. "Nothing could cheer me up right now. Not while Prim is free..." The pink haired girl said as she stared out the window.
"Really...not even a week long vacation on a private island hotel?" Thea asked. The kids perked up as she showed the brochure. Kaylo took it from her mom as she looked through it "Whoa...A 24 hour desert Bar and a Karaoke lounge? This place sounds awesome!!" She said, a smile finding its way to her face. The other kids were oohing and awwing at the hotel's many features and activities "This would be a good way to take our minds off of Prim." Haoyu said.
"Yeah! She wouldn't think to look for us on a Private Island!" Yuri said. "Well, It is Kaylo's mom...Can we go?" Trisha Jane asked. The kids then began to pull puppy eyes to try and sweeten the deal. Thea chuckled "If you want to go you only need to ask. I'm sure your families won't mind! In fact..why don't you ask them as well?" Thea suggested. The kids cheered before they turned to Kaylo...after all she WAS Thea's daughter.
She took a deep breath, before he face gained a smile "Alright. Let's go!" She cheered. The kids celebrated before they ran to tell their families about the current offer...but Yuri couldn't shake the feeling that there was something...off about this strange invite

Daisy and Sunshine (FE: Three Houses Full Fic)
All 3H AU’s Listed Here!
DOOM Paralogue
Tumblr media
On the Doom Slayer's day off, he loses track of his beloved pet Daisy, and he goes on the hunt to bring her back. He finds out quickly his day off is about to be put on hold...
----
“Against all the evil that hell can conjure,
All the wickedness man can produce,
We will send unto them, only you.
Rip and tear, until it is done...”
----
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP-
SMASH!
[Life at Garreg Mach Monastery - Fire Emblem: Three Houses]
Doomguy rose from his bed and looked over to the side. Before he smashed his homemade alarm clock, it was about 8 in the morning.
Once he finished stretching, he looked at the calendar and sighed in relief.
Sunday.
Being an instructor for House Isekai was tiring work. Even though he never spoke, there hadn’t been a day for these past few months where he hasn’t sighed out of disappointment.
Compared to the other houses, this one was trying to herd several cats.
Megumi, Cocytus, and if it ever got too bad, Byleth had to try and calm them down.
Sara did nothing to help and in fact only added fuel to the fire.
(Hayden) “Must you keep destroying the alarm every morning? We do have to keep an eye on our resources.”
The voice speaking was one of the AI’s that Doomguy had on him when he was transported to Fodlan. Personally he would have preferred if it was just his main assistant, Vega, here but he made do with it. It’s not as if Hayden could do anything.
Ignoring him, Doomguy got dressed in his Praetor suit and checked his rabbit pen.
Daisy was normally still sleeping at this hour, but she was wide awake. Her head turned to Doomguy.
Getting a small hay cube, he held his hand out to her, which she nibbled off his hand.
Nodding in satisfaction, he left his room for breakfast.
At the mess hall he met up with Megumi, Sara, Cocytus, Byleth and Seteth.
Once they all grabbed their plates and food, they sat down at a table near the entrance. More and more students eventually poured in and the Mess Hall went from nearly dead quiet to extremely busy.
(Sara) “Finally, a nice old Sunday! These aching bones need to rest.”
(Byleth) “...I don’t recall you doing anything other than do lectures, Sara-”
(Sara) “Exactly! Teaching is hard work, ESPECIALLY with the kiddos that we have!”
(Seteth) “Hmph, that I will agree with. House Isekai’s students seem to be more high maintenance than any of our three houses.”
(Megumi) “You have no idea, but it is fulfilling work!”
(Cocytus) “INDEED. SEEING THE YOUTH SLOWLY BECOME BETTER AND BETTER FIGHTERS IS A REWARD IN OF ITSELF.”
Doomguy nodded in agreement.
(Sara) “Bah, enough talking about classes already! I’m gonna be drinkin’ the day away as soon as breakfast is done!”
(Seteth) “My goodness, it is not even twelve yet!”
(Cocytus) “I SUPPOSE I WILL BE ASSISTING ANY STUDENT IN THE TRAINING HALLS TODAY.”
(Byleth) “I haven’t decided yet.”
(Megumi) “Neither have I. What about you, Slayer?”
Doomguy put his hands to his helmet’s chin.
He wasn’t too sure himself. He supposed he could read for today. It’d make a nice change of pace.
Doomguy shrugged at Megumi and went back to eating.
After everyone finished their breakfast, they all went their separate ways.
...
Turning off the chainsaw, he had finally finished making a makeshift hammock for himself and sat down. He put his helmet onto a leftover parts of a tree he had punched off.
Opening his book, he continued where he left off.
Dungeons and Demons, 6th Edition.
As he read, the morning slowly turned into early afternoon, students and staff passing by and waving hello at him.
He waved back, but hadn’t moved from his spot in hours as he tried to better understand how to play this new tabletop game.
A little later passed and the sun was still shining nice and warm over him. It seemed like the rules and lore within this never seemed to end, so he put it down to catch a small break.
It was then he noticed his helmet’s visor was glowing.
Raising an eyebrow he put the helmet back on and Vega’s voice appeared on screen.
(VEGA) “Slayer, your pet rabbit Daisy has escaped the cage.”
Normally he would have let Daisy explore and come back on her own, since she had a habit of doing that anyway, but he was in the mood to stop reading for the moment, so it was a perfect excuse.
Knowing already where her favorite hiding spot was, he put his book down on the log and went down to Abyss.
[The Forgotten - Fire Emblem: Three Houses]
When he turned the corner, he was greeted by the Abysskeeper.
(Abysskeeper) “Oh, hey Slayer. Got something to report.”
Doomguy stopped walking and nodded at him.
(Abysskeeper) “We got that shipment of supplies we’ve been needing for a while thanks to your assistants. So thanks.”
Doomguy nodded again and grabbed a piece of paper nearby. Quickly scribbling onto it, he showed it to the Abysskeeper and pointed towards the paper’s drawing.
It was an extremely crude drawing of a rabbit.
(Abysskeeper) “Ah, your rabbit. Yeah I saw her run by, she’s fast on her feet. Think she went towards the former classrooms.”
Doomguy gestured his hand upwards as a sign of thanks and went towards that direction.
As he was walking, a familiar face emerged from the corner.
(Hapi) “Oh, Teary. What’s up, Daisy got down here again?”
Doomguy nodded.
(Hapi) “Hmph. Alright, I’ll help you look for her, wasn’t really doing anything anyway.”
Not needing to say anything further the two continued walking and searching every crevice for Daisy. After about 10 minutes of searching the classrooms, they decided to see if anyone else had seen her.
(Yuri) “Oh, hey you two.”
(Balthus) “Heya.”
Yuri and Balthus were in the main room with Angelica, and Sharon.
(Angelica) “’Sup?”
Sharon bowed.
(Sharon) “Good afternoon!”
(Hapi) “Supplies still being brought in, Yuri-bird?”
(Yuri) “Yeah, figured we would’ve been done about half an hour ago. Just how much were you able to get?!”
(Sharon) “When you’re as convincing as I am, you can get whatever you want!”
(Balthus) “That’ uh...ominous.”
(Angelica) “And that still didn’t answer his question.”
(Yuri) “Well anyways, we appreciate it. We’ll be good to go for the next few months with what we have. But I digress, what brings you to our humble abode, Slayer?”
(Hapi) “Teary’s rabbit got lost down here again. We were wondering if you saw it.”
(Yuri) “No idea, but I can send word for everyone to keep an eye out if that’ll help.”
(Constance’s voice) “AAAH!”
Everyone spun around as Constance ran in.
(Constance) “T-THERE IS A HIDEOUSLY LARGE RAT THAT IS SCURRYING DOWN HERE!”
(Yuri) “That should be nothing new, but a large one?”
(Angelica) “Would that rat happen to have been a light brown color?”
(Constance) “Yes! It had massive ears and-”
(Hapi) “Coco, that’s a rabbit.”
(Constance) “A rabbit does not move like that! They hop around in an adorable manner, not bolt around at super speeds!”
(Sharon) “Well, looks like we have found your rabbit!”
(Yuri) “Which way did it go?”
(Constance) “Ugh, we are chasing it?! Let’s see, this way!”
Finally chasing her down towards the arena, she was sitting in the middle.
(Sharon) “Oh, I have not been down here in a while!”
(Angelica) “Wait, what?”
(Balthus) “Er, long story short, she, Megumin, Momon and Nabe, and Akechi were down here a couple months back. They actually helped us stop that Demonic beast in the cathedral.”
(Hapi) “Yeah, pretty sure I saw Sharon slit so many throats down here that some of the stains are still here.”
(Angelica) “Huh, so THAT’S what the whole demonic beast attack was about.”
Doomguy did have some recollection of defending the town during that period of time.
(Constance) “Now, mister Slayer shall you get your rabbit, please?”
Doomguy nodded and knelt down, trying to catch her attention.
Instead of running to him, she ran away in terror.
(Yuri) “Huh, that can’t be good.”
[Woven by Fate - Fire Emblem: Three Houses]
A portal slowly started to emerge, with red alerts blinking on Doomguy’s screen.
(VEGA) “Alert! Demonic presence detected!”
Doomguy’s eyes widened as he quickly got up. He instinctively reached for a gun but had none on him.
(Hapi) “Ooooh crap!”
(Balthus) “Demons, seriously?!”
(Constance) “Did you sigh, Hapi!?”
(Yuri) “Everyone, just get ready for whatever’s coming through that portal!”
Everyone pulled their weapons out as Doomguy walked closer to the portal.
Tumblr media
“Slayer...I have found you once more...”
(Balthus) “Uh...are they buddies?”
(Hapi) “B, does it look like they’re friends?!”
(Constance) “Then what is he?!”
(VEGA) “That is a Marauder.”
His voice was coming from nowhere, in which they were all confused by.
(Hayden) “Do not be concerned of where his voice is coming from, focus your attention to the incoming portals!”
Behind the Marauder appeared several demonic beasts, some from Fodlan while some others came from Doomguy’s world.
(VEGA) “He will handle the Marauder, I recommend taking out the smaller beasts so he may focus on his task.”
Angelica cracked her knuckles.
(Angelica) “You got it!”
(Yuri) “Everyone, on me!”
Doomguy was looking back at the group and was relieved. VEGA and Hayden would be ensuring they’d be alright.
(Marauder) “How amusing. You think that they will be safe.”
Doomguy slowly turned to the Marauder and gestured towards him, daring the Marauder to even try.
They circled each other as the Marauder activated his Rune Axe, and Doomguy’s wrist blade shot out.
(VEGA) “Your team’s current objective, Rip and Tear!”
----
[Super Gore Nest - Doom Eternal]
UNIT SELECTION:
Tumblr media
Begin the slaughter?
>[Yes] Yes
Victory Conditions: Rip and tear the enemy commander.
Defeat Conditions: Leave the area not filled to the brim with demonic organs.
----
Doomguy threw the first swing, the wristblade bouncing off the Marauder’s shield.
The Marauder retaliated by swinging the axe overhead, crushing the concrete beneath him as Doomguy dove out the way.
A demonic imp jumped onto Doomguy’s back. Doomguy grabbed the imp by the throat and slammed it down onto the floor, his boot completely crushing the upper skull with its guts and blood splattering onto the floor.
The shoulder cannon spewed out flames behind Doomguy catching a demonic beast into flames as it howled out in pain.
Doomguy countered the Marauder’s axe with his wristblade, and used his freehand to gut punch the Marauder.
Staggering backwards, several hell hounds formed next to the Marauder and charged Doomguy.
(Marauder) “YOU WILL FALL, USURPER!”
(Yuri) “I can’t believe that guy’s so used to this!”
Yuri got his sword out of a demonic beast as another one tried to eat Balthus.
Balthus managed to punch it away, making it fall back onto its side.
Sharon used her wires to tangle it’s mouth shut as she threw her knife into its eye.
(Hapi) “His name is Teary for a reason, Yuri-bird!”
(VEGA) “Actually, his name is-”
(Hapi) “Not now, VEGA!”
Constance used her magic to disintegrate several demons into dust while Hapi did the same with her magic.
Angelica grabbed one of the demons and slammed its face into the wall, and kicking the head so hard into it, it exploded.
Another one tried to swipe at her, but was grabbed by Balthus. He snapped off its neck before slamming it into the floor, with him stomping it to death.
Angelica turned to Doomguy and noticed just how many enemies were around him.
(Angelica) “Some of us need to back him up!”
(Hayden) “That is ill advised, Rogner. Getting in his way is a good chance for you to lose your limbs.
(Sharon) “We should leave him to his fun, yes?”
(VEGA) “That is the recommended course of action. Several more portals appearing behind you.”
A demonic beast came charging out with everyone diving out the way.
With the last of the hellhound being punched so hard, the skull exploded into fragments, he checked his surroundings and noticed a massive shadow above him.
Doomguy spun around and ripped apart the jaw of a massive demonic bird-like beast that tried swooping in, using the upper beak to stab it in the skull while using the lower beak as a makeshift weapon.
Several more demons tried to rush him, and were immediately impaled with the sharp end of the beak.
The Marauder fired an energy projectile from his axe and flew towards Doomguy.
He threw the beak at the projectile, letting the beak and the demons stuck in it get cut in half as he charged the Marauder.
The Marauder charged and the wristblade and axe clashed against each other.
The Marauder brought out a shotgun and was about to fire before Doomguy headbutted him, and grabbed it from his hands.
He ripped the gun in half and threw it to the side, taking out one of the Marauder’s main weapons.
(VEGA) “Friendly portal inbound, we are dropping a weapon for you, Slayer.”
A blue portal appeared above Doomguy, and he raised his hand upwards and caught his super shotgun.
Finally having a gun again, Doomguy started to smile underneath his helmet.
The first Demon that tried to rush him got the barrel in its mouth, its head completely blowing apart into tiny chunks.
Reloading, he looked at the group of demons enclosing around his group. His shoulder cannon shot a grenade out behind him as he rushed to help.
Angelica and Balthus shattered the skull of a demonic beast with the force of their punch while Yuri was dodging swipes from several imps.
Sharon’s wires grabbed and wrapped around their necks as she pulled them over to her.
It tried clawing Sharon, but its head was immediately sliced off from the garrote going through its neck.
She continued smiling as she threw her knife at an imp’s head attacking Yuri, which he grabbed the dagger and drove it into mouth of the last imp.
Hapi and Constance closed the last portal with their magic before making it explode, the demons around it bursting into limbs with blood flying everywhere.
(Constance) “Such detestable creatures!”
(Hapi) “We keep killing but there’s so many!”
A flying demon was about to attack them from behind until it was grabbed out of the air by a hook.
The hook suddenly closed in with Doomguy flying towards it and ripping the beast in half with his wristblade.
(Hapi) “Teary, any chances of this fight finishing up soon?!”
He looked at Sharon and pointed at her wires.
(Sharon) “Oh, you require this? Of course, mister Slayer!”
He nodded in thanks as he held the wires firmly in his hands and turned to Hapi, gesturing towards the Marauder who was running towards them.
(VEGA) “Everyone, the last of the demonic forces are closing into your position, a defensive line would be recommended!”
Hapi ran ahead of Doomguy and readied her magic while Doomguy was catching up behind.
(Marauder) “A friend to the Slayer? Then allow me to open your eyes to this-”
Hapi interrupted him by shooting a fireball at him, which he reflected with his shield.
(Hapi) “Shut the hell up, would you?!”
The smoke disappearing, the Maruader took his chance and swung towards Hapi, only to be blasted in the chest by Doomguy who was now standing in front of her.
Wasting no time, Doomguy used Sharon’s wires and wrapped around its neck, and he kicked him towards Hapi.
Hapi used dark magic and blasted the Marauder upwards into the air.
Tugging the wires forcefully down, the Marauder went crashing down into the concrete, shooting up several bricks upon impact.
Using the wristblade to stab into his eyes, he used the wires to get him out of the hole, shot a grenade into it, then threw his body back.
Using his suit’s dash, he went over to Hapi and shielded her from the explosion that sent body parts and blood raining down on the arena.
No one was spared from a shower of gore that landed on them.
Yuri and Balthus looked slightly annoyed while Constance was screaming that so much bits of guts was on her.
Angelica made a noise that didn’t decide if it was a swear or sound of disgust while Sharon stood completely still, her smile not even twitching.
(Yuri) “Well...didn’t think a rabbit hunt would turn into a demonic invasion.”
(Balthus) “Sure was fun!”
(Constance) “UGH! HOW REPULSIVE! I MUST SHOWER AT LEAST 3 TIMES TO GET THIS SMELL OFF ME! AND MY DRESS IS RUINED!”
(Angelica) “Eugh, son of...Well, at least it’s over.”
(Sharon) “I would be happy to wash everyone’s clothes if they wish for it!”
Doomguy’s shoulders relaxed as he turned to Hapi.
There was only bits of blood on her, but she looked more annoyed than anything.
(Hapi) sigh “Finally that’s over with.”
(Constance )”H-HAPI?!”
Doomguy cocked his shotgun back and turned to the side, blasting a demonic beast that came charging in.
The blast sent skull and eye fragments scattering into the air as it stopped in its tracks, sliding across the bodies and debris.
(Hapi) “Thanks. Now, let’s go find Daisy, yeah?”
(VEGA) “Daisy is currently hiding in a small hole to your right.”
Doomguy nodded and motioned for Hapi to follow. Everyone else joined him.
[Life at Garreg Mach Monastery - Fire Emblem: Three Houses]
Doomguy emerged from the entrance of Garreg Mach alongside everyone else, while he held Daisy in his arms, softly petting her to calm her down.
Byleth passed by and stopped, looking at all of them.
(Byleth) “...Is...everything alright?”
They were absolutely soaked in blood and giblets, all of them standing awkwardly.
Doomguy nodded at Byleth.
(Hapi) “We’re uh, we’re fine thank you. Everything’s fine...How are you?”
(Yuri) “Hey, professor.”
(Balthus) “Pay no attention to our gut soaked rags, professor!”
(Angelica) “Yeah, don’t mind us.”
(Sharon) “Excuse us, we had a bit of a struggle down in Abyss.”
(Byleth) “I can see that.”
(Constance) “P-Please direct us to the baths, Professor Byleth.”
(Byleth) “...To your left, up the stairs.”
Everyone went towards the baths to get washed up.
...
Once everyone was finally washed up and went their separate ways, Hapi went with Doomguy to this room.
Doomguy set a small tea set down at the table and poured them a drink.
After a few minutes of silence as they ate some snacks, Hapi laid against her chair.
(Hapi) “Thanks, Teary. That hit the spot.”
Doomguy nodded as he drank the remainder of his tea.
He looked over at the cage where Daisy was resting comfortably.
(Hapi) “By the way, thanks for saving our butts there. Not that I had any doubt that you would’ve left us anyway.”
Doomguy didn’t say anything, but Hapi knew he would have said “No problem”. Or at least that’s what he gestured.
(Hapi) “...Ya know for being a person who never speaks, you’re a really nice guy.”
Doomguy tilted his head in confusion but she just chuckled.
(Hapi) “The scariest man alive serving tea and caring for a pet rabbit. I’m sure girls like me would just be swooning.”
Doomguy waved his hand dismissively.
(VEGA) “Perhaps we can get a dating site when we get back, Slayer?”
(Hayden) “As if.”
Doomguy punched the wall to signal to the both of them to shut up.
(Hapi) “I said that as a joke but now I’m pretty curious...”
Doomguy glared at her.
(Hapi) “Alright alright, forget what I said!”
She continued to chuckle as he sighed through his helmet. The two continued to sit in silence as his attention was brought over to Daisy.
Daisy was woken up by the sound but looking at Doomguy. He walked over to the cage and fed her small hay cube, which she nibbled off his hand.
Nodding in satisfaction, he went back to the table and enjoyed a quiet tea time with Hapi.

Iain Glen nailing Hamlet (1991)
In 1991, after winning the Evening Standard Film Award for Best Actor, Iain Glen gave his soulful all, not on the stage in London, no, not yet, though really he could have, but at the Old Vic in Bristol, donning the persona of the Dane, Hamlet. He won the Special Commendation Ian Charleson Award* for his performance and yet it appears we will never see but stills from this production as no video recording was made, not even by and for the company. The University of Bristol has the archives of the production: the playbook, the programme and black and white stills. The V&A archives have the administrative papers. In our day and age, this sad evanescent corporeal sate of affairs is unimaginable. The memory of the play, of this performance fading away? We rebel against the very thought. We brandish our cell phones and swear we shall unearth and pirate its memory, somehow, somewhere. Even if we have to hypnotize patrons or pull out the very hearts of those who saw Iain Glen on stage, those few, those happy few, to read into their very memory and pulsating membrane just how brilliant he was. Because he was, he was. That’s what they’ll all tell you...
Below, those pics and testimonies....

*(The Charleson Awards were established in memory of Ian Charleson, who died at 40 from Aids while playing Hamlet at the National Theatre in 1989)
- Iain Glen is a rampaging prince, quixotic, technically sound, tense as a coiled spring, funny. ‘To be, or not to be’ results from throwing himself against the white walls, an air of trembling unpredictability is beautifully conveyed throughout. ‘Oh, what a rogue and peasants slave’ is blindingly powerful. My life is drawn in angrily modern post Gielgud Hamlets: David Warner, Nicol Williams, Visotsky, Jonathon Price. Iain Glen is equal to them. He keeps good company. THE OBSERVER, Michael Coveney
- Paul Unwin’s riveting production reminded me more strongly than any I have ever seen that the Danish Court is riddled with secrecy. Politics is a form of hide and seek: everyone stealthily watches everyone else. Iain Glen’s Hamlet is a melancholic in the clinical sense: his impeccable breeding and essential good nature keep in check what might be an approaching breakdown. His vitriolic humour acts as a safety valve for a nagging instability, his boyish charm is deployed to placate and deceive a hostile and watchful world. Glen brings out Hamlet’s fatal self absorption: the way he cannot help observing himself and putting a moral price tag on every action and failure. He is a doomed boy. And his chill but touching calm at the end is that of a man who has finally understood the secrets behind the closed doors. The Sunday Times, John Peter
- This is an excellent production of Hamlet from the Bristol Old Vic. The director Paul Unwin and his designer Bunnie Christie have set the play in turn of the century Europe. Elsinore is a palace of claustrophobically white walls and numerous doors. All this is handled with a light touch, without drawing attention away from the play. Our first encounter with Hamlet shows him bottled up with rage and grief. Glen gives a gripping performance. The self-dramatising side of the character is tapped to the full by this talented actor. The Spectator, Christopher Edwards

The following though is my favorite review/article because it situates Iain Glen’s creation is time, in the spectrum of all renowned Hamlets.
How will Cumberbatch, TV’s Sherlock, solve the great mystery of Hamlet? by Michael Coveney - Aug 17, 2015
In 1987, three years before he died, the critic and venerable Shakespearean JC Trewin published a book of personal experience and reminiscence: Five and Eighty Hamlets. I’m thinking of supplying a second volume, under my own name, called Six and Fifty Hamlets, for that will be my total once Benedict Cumberbatch has opened at the Barbican.
There’s a JC and MC overlap of about 15 years: Trewin was a big fan of Derek Jacobi’s logical and graceful prince in 1977 and ended with less enthusiastic remarks about “the probing intelligence” of Michael Pennington in 1980 (both Jacobi and Pennington were 37 when they played the role; Cumberbatch is 39) and emotional pitch and distraction of Roger Rees in 1984 (post-Nickleby, Rees was 40, but an electric eel and ever-youthful).
I started as a reviewer in 1972 with three Hamlets on the trot: the outrageous Charles Marowitz collage, which treats Hamlet as a creep and Ophelia as a demented tart, and makes exemplary, equally unattractive polar opposites of Laertes and Fortinbras; a noble, stately Keith Michell (with a frantic Polonius by Ron Moody) at the Bankside Globe, Sam Wanamaker’s early draft of the Shakespearean replica; and a 90-minute gymnastic exercise performed by a cast of eight in identical chain mail and black breeches at the Arts Theatre.
This gives an idea of how alterable and adaptable Hamlet has been, and continues to be. There are contestable readings between the Folios, any number of possible cuts, and there is no end of choice in emphasis. Trewin once wrote a programme note for a student production directed by Jonathan Miller in which he said that the first scene on the battlements (“Who’s there?”) was the most exciting in world drama; the scene was cut.
And as Steven Berkoff pointed out in his appropriately immodestly titled book I Am Hamlet (1989), Hamlet doesn’t exist in the way Macbeth, or Coriolanus, exists; when you play Hamlet, he becomes you, not the other way round. Hamlet, said Hazlitt, is as real as our own thoughts.
Which is why my three favourite Hamlets are all so different from each other, and attractive because of the personality of the actor who’s provided the mould for the Hamlet jelly: my first, pre-critical-days Hamlet, David Warner (1965) at the Royal Shakespeare Company, was a lank and indolently charismatic student in a long red scarf, exact contemporary of David Halliwell’s Malcolm Scrawdyke, and two years before students were literally revolting in Paris and London; then Alan Cumming (1993) with English Touring Theatre, notably quick, mercurial and very funny, with a detachable doublet and hose, black Lycra pants and bovver boots, definitely (then) the glass of fashion, a graceful gender-bender like Brett Anderson of indie band Suede; and, at last, Michael Sheen (2011) at the Young Vic, a vivid and overreaching fantasist in a psychiatric institution (“Denmark’s a prison”), where every actor “plays” his part.
These three actors – Warner, Cumming, Sheen – occupy what might be termed the radical, alternative tradition of Hamlets, whereas the authoritative, graceful nobility of Jacobi belongs to the Forbes Robertson/John Gielgud line of high-ranking top drawer ‘star’ turns, a dying species and last represented, sourly but magnificently, by Ralph Fiennes (1995) in the gilded popular palace of the Hackney Empire. Fiennes, like Cumberbatch, has the sort of voice you might expect a non-radical, traditional Hamlet to possess.
But if you listen to Gielgud on tape, you soon realise he wasn’t ‘old school’ at all. He must have been as modern, at the time, as Noel Coward. Gielgud is never ‘intoned’ or overtly posh, he’s quicksilver, supple, intellectually alert. I saw him deliver the “Oh what a rogue and peasant slave” soliloquy on the night the National left the Old Vic (February 28, 1976); he had played the role more than 500 times, and not for 37 years, but it was as fresh, brilliant and compelling as if he had been making it up on the spot.
Ben Kingsley, too, in 1975, was a fiercely intelligent Royal Shakespeare Company Hamlet, and I saw much of that physical and mental power in David Tennant’s, also for the RSC in 2008, with an added pinch of mischief and irony. There’s another tradition, too, of angry Hamlets: Nicol Williamson in 1969, a scowling, ferocious demon; Jonathan Pryce at the Royal Court in 1980, possessed by the ghost of his father and spewing his lines, too, before finding Yorick’s skull in a cabinet of bones, an ossuary of Osrics; and a sourpuss Christopher Ecclestone (2002), spiritually constipated, moody as a moose with a migraine, at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
One Hamlet who had a little of all these different attributes – funny, quixotic, powerful, unhappy, clever and genuinely heroic – was Iain Glen (1991) at the Bristol Old Vic, and I can imagine Cumberbatch developing along similar lines. He, like so many modern Hamlets, is pushing 40 – as was Jude Law (2009), hoary-voiced in the West End – yet when Trevor Nunn cast Ben Whishaw (2004) straight from RADA, aged 23, petulant and precocious, at the Old Vic, he looked like a 16-year-old, and too young for what he was saying. It’s like the reverse of King Lear, where you have to be younger to play older with any truth or vigour.
Michael Billington’s top Hamlet remains Michael Redgrave, aged 50, in 1958, as he recounts in his brilliant new book, The 101 Greatest Plays (seven of the 101 are by Shakespeare); Hamlet, he says, more than any other play, alters according to time as well as place.
So, Yuri Lyubimov’s great Cold War Hamlet, the prince played by the dissident poet Vladimir Visotsky, was primarily about surveillance, the action played on either side of an endlessly moving hessian and woollen wall. And in Belgrade in 1980, shortly after the death of Tito, the play became a statement of anxiety about the succession.
There’s a mystery to Hamlet that not even Sherlock Holmes could solve, though Cumberbatch will no doubt try his darndest – even if he finds his Watson at the Barbican (Leo Bill is playing Horatio) more of a hindrance than a help; there are, after all, more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in his friend’s philosophy.
*************************************************************************************************
Oh! Did I say that we were never going to see Iain Glen in the skin of the great Dane? Tsk. How silly of me. Meet IG’s Hamlet in Tom Stoppard’s postmodern theatrical whimsy ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD, shot the year before the Bristol play.
Though almost surreal and most often funny as the film follows the Pulp Fiction-like misadventures of two forgettable Shakespearian characters, crossing paths with other more or less fortunate characters, their time with Hamlet makes us privy to the Dane as we never quite see him in the Bard’s play... but for one memorable scene,  in which Iain Glen absolutely nails it, emoting the famous “To be or not to be” which you see tortures his soul, brings tears to his eyes and contorts his mouth; the moment made all the more memorable by the fact that it is a silent scene. You never hear him utter the famous line, but you see the words leave his lips and feel them mark your soul.
I’m kinda telling myself that it’s 1991 and I’m sitting in the Old Vic, in Bristol, not London. Not yet.

Vladimir Komarov and Yuri Gagarin.  Two amazing cosmonauts with a lot of firsts in the Soviet Space Program- and we're talking major accomplishments like the first man in space, first man to command a multi-man space crew, first man to go to space twice.....
They were also such good friends that both tried to keep the other from taking part in a doomed-from-the-start space flight- Komarov wouldn't refuse to fly because that meant Gagarin would be chosen, and Gagarin showed up on launch day demanding to take Komarov's place.  Sad spoiler alert: the decision did end up costing Komarov his life (and adding another sad first to his record- first man to die in a space flight).

Never Let Me Go [36/40]
A/N: See glossary at the end for a bunch of Russian/Japanese/Thai words (mostly Russian). If there's any spelling or grammar mistakes, please let me know so I can fix it—most of the Cyrillic to Roman Alphabet transliteration is done by me, and the Thai translation was done by Google Translate, so mistakes are totally possible. :P Next update will be April 12th.
Chapter Thirty-Five – Alvinia
Less than forty-five minutes after giving birth, Yuri was roused from his half-asleep doze by Otabek, who was still bearing a warm, New Father glow about him. Alvinia was in his arms, but less sleepy and more fussy, and Yuri was immediately thrown into high alert.
“What is it?” he asked, “is Alvinia okay?”
“She's fine,” Otabek said softly, “the nurse thinks she might be hungry, so she suggested I wake you up and have you try feeding her. She offered formula, but I wanted you to decide whether or not you wanted to breastfeed before I gave her an answer.”
“No, I can do it,” Yuri said, and held out his arms to his mate. Otabek passed the baby over, her eyes squinting up at Yuri as she whimpered, and seemed to be ready to start screaming at any moment.
Feeling slightly awkward, Yuri supported his daughter with one arm while he unbuttoned the front of his hospital gown, and carefully lifted Alvinia to his nipple.
He knew his own biology well enough that he wasn't unnerved that he could produce milk, but it was still odd to see, especially considering his chest had not grown all that much, despite Yuuri's promises that he would be able to produce enough to feed his child without issue. Yuri knew that omegas very rarely grew breasts like beta women did, but he still found it hard to believe that it would be enough for his child.
Alvinia whined a little, her tiny hand unwinding from the blanket that she was swaddled in to rest against Yuri's chest, and his smile broadened as the little girl fumbled, as though she wasn't sure what to do. After a moment however, she seemed to get the hang of it and latched on gently as she began to nurse.
Yuri smiled softly as he stared at her—his tiny little miracle. He reached out to stroke her soft, chubby cheek, and she grabbed hold of Yuri's finger, her little hand curling around the digit in a surprisingly strong grip while she ate.
“God, she is so perfect,” Yuri whispered as he held her. “I can't believe we made this. I think after everything that happened...she makes it worth it.” Yuri paused, and glanced back up at Otabek. “Don't you think?”
“Yeah,” Otabek murmured as he watched them, “I mean, I dreamed about this for ages, I always wanted it, but seeing you hold her...it's more perfect than I thought it would be. She's...she's our little girl.”
“She is,” Yuri agreed as Alvinia seemed to have had enough, and Yuri pulled her back from his chest, while he gazed down into her little eyes, still partially closed like someone had just flicked on the lights for her, but he could still see the bits of blue of her irises as he lifted her up to gently rub her back until she let out a tiny, milky burp, then settled back down again.
“So...” Otabek hedged as he leant forward and offered the pair another smile while Yuri buttoned up his hospital gown. “You think you're rested enough to show her off a little? The others are dying to meet her, and I've been trying to put them off for a bit to let you rest, but I think that will be easier for you to actually get some real rest after they've gotten to meet her.”
“I think so,” Yuri said as he rocked Alvinia. “I mean, I'm still exhausted, but as long as I'm not expected to stand up, I think I'm good.”
“No one expects you to move for another day or two, and when we go home, and you can rest as much as you like—plus, we've got about five eager nannies at home to help,” Otabek teased as he stood up and offered Yuri a gentle kiss, before he bowed forward and pecked Alvinia lightly on the top of her head. Yuri laughed at the remark, and smiled faintly at Otabek as he moved to the door and slipped outside.
“Okay, Alvinia, you ready to meet our crazy family?” he asked softly as he continued to rock her, and she blinked up at him sleepily. “Let's see...there's your Prádyed, Nikokai—he's the only normal one out of all of us—he's quiet, but he loved you even before you were born, and I know he'll love you forever and ever. Then there is your Dyédya, Viktor, he's annoying as hell, but he has a good heart, and your...um...Ojis, Yuuri and Minami—Yuuri is like the perfect mother, but don't ever tell him I said that. And Minami will probably get you into all sorts of trouble, like dye your hair purple when I'm not looking. Then the last, I suppose, is your Leung, Phichit. He's almost as nice as your Äke. He's sweet and doting, and he's hyperactive and annoying, but he just loves all the kids, and I know he'll love you too, probably because you're the cutest of the four. You'll grow up with Yuriko, Viktoria, and Antonia like sisters, or cousins, but even though none of your are actually related, it's a more perfect family than anyone I've ever known...”
Yuri trailed off his monologue just as there was a soft knock on the door, and he glanced up just in time to see his mate standing there with a line of familiar faces behind him.
“Hey,” Yuri said, his voice cracking a little with fatigue, and he nodded, inviting for them to come in.
“Hey,” Yuuri said first as they all grabbed chairs and circled him, except, he noted, Viktor, who seemed to be absent. Yuuri did not miss Yuri's look of confusion and explained, “he went home with the girls a few hours ago,” Yuuri explained with a soft smile. “Once they're awake, he'll come back over to meet the girls' new little sister. What did you name her?”
“Alvinia,” Yuri replied with a small smile, and turned to his grandfather, who was sitting quietly in one of the chairs while the others stood up and bowed over him to coo at his daughter. “Grandpa, do you want to start the first round of Pass the Baby, and meet your právnōchka?”
Nikolai beamed with joy at the offer, and Yuri carefully handed her over. A familiar look of quiet awe passed over the older man's face as he rocked her in one arm, and reached out a hand to her, and the newborn wrapped a tiny hand around his weather-worn index finger.
“Hello there, little one,” he said softly, “goodness, Yuri, she looks so much like Otabek, but she will have your eyes, I think. She is a beautiful child. I am so proud of you; you endured so much, and look what came out of it all.”
Yuri smiled weakly as he wiped his teary eyes, and Otabek wrapped an arm around him while he sat on the edge of the bed, and covertly snapped a picture with his phone of Nikolai holding Alvinia.
“Who would like to hold her next?” Nikolai asked, and chortled when both Phichit and Minami rushed at him, while Yuuri held out his arms in an almost commanding sort of way, while he flexed his hands as though to silently say, gimmie.
“I haven't held a baby in nearly ten hours,” Yuuri proclaimed as he continued to hold his arms out. “I'll go through withdrawal soon if I don't get my fix.”
“Baby Addiction,” Minami said with a mournful sigh as Nikolai chuckled and carefully passed Alvinia over to Yuuri. “Too bad they don't make a patch for that...”
“They do,” Yuuri replied distractedly as he smiled down at the infant and rocked her gently, “it's called having more babies.”
“As someone who has to live with a pack of screaming infants, I'd like to veto that treatment,” Phichit interjected, and everyone laughed.
A soft knock sounded on the door, and everyone glanced up at the same time to see a very tired-looking Viktor coming in with a stroller of three happy babies, and two drink trays of seven extra-large coffees, all labelled with their initials, and a box of doughnuts balanced on the top of the stroller's hood. Viktor was grinning at them in a slightly dazed sort of way, and he was dressed more casually than Yuri had ever seen him, in a black T-shirt and jeans, with his hair in disarray and his sunglasses perched on top of his head.
“Morning, everyone!” he called as he let himself in, and grinned as he held out the trays and pushed the stroller with his wrists, while the girls all squealed with delight and reached out for their mother. “I come bearing coffee, doughnuts, and sleep-deprived toddlers.”
“Oh, God,” Yuuri said with a laugh as he carefully passed Alvinia over to Minami, and got up to help his mate. “How long did they sleep?”
“I zonked out at about five A.M., and when I woke up Antonia had somehow gotten into Viktoria's crib. I think this is an omen.”
“Of doom?” Minami asked as he glanced up, and Yuri snorted as he watched Minami with his child.
“Of them beginning to crawl, dipshit.”
“Yuri, language!” Viktor called teasingly, “your little one is like a sponge, and she will soak all those bad words up!”
“She can say fuck, shit, and cunt every other word and she'll still be a perfect little lady,” Yuri replied as he watched Minami pass Alvinia to Phichit, and the alpha all but squealed when he scooped her up, carefully cradling her as he lifted her close to his face, and she reached up to touch his face clumsily with her little hand.
“Ohh, Antonia,” Yuuri cooed while he scooped his middle triplet up and hugged her close. “Were you being a little terror for your poor, sleepy Otets? That's my good girl!”
“Yuuri!” Viktor squawked, “how could you be so cruel? I'm running on like four hours of sleep, here!”
“I'll see your five hours and raise you a forty-five minutes, right after pushing a bowling ball through the eye of a needle,” Yuri grunted from the bed as Phichit handed Alvinia back to him, and her eyes flitted open a little, though they were still narrowed and squinted.
“Get back to us in a few months, kitten,” Viktor teased as he sauntered over and offered Yuri one of the coffees, as well as a chocolate doughnut on a napkin. Yuri shifted his grip on the baby so that she was cradled in one of his arms, and triple checked that her head was supported before he accepted the warm cup, and Viktor set the pastry down on his table, which had been pushed to one side. “Alvin, right?”
“Alvinia, asshole,” Yuri shot  back, his tone weak and halfhearted as he sipped the coffee and grimaced. “What the hell is this? It tastes like piss.”
“Decaf,” Viktor replied, raising his eyebrows a little in surprise. “It's best if you don't overdo right now, especially if you plan to breastfeed her. Hyper baby is not fun—believe me.”
“He's not exaggerating,” Yuuri added with a chuckle as he set Antonia back down and picked up the next fussiest tot. “I mean, it doesn't change their attitude much, but I did notice a difference.”
“I want real coffee,” Yuri whined as he set it down and took his baby in both arms again when she began to fuss. “I hate decaf.”
“Quite the picture of a glowing new mother, isn't he?” Viktor asked sarcastically, and Otabek snorted.
“Watch it,” Otabek warned Viktor while he rested a hand on Yuri's knee. “Yuri has really good aim with his pillows.”
“What?” Viktor blinked, and Yuri smirked a little.
“I threw a pillow at Beka once or twice during the...event.”
“Once or twice,” Otabek mocked with a snort, “I think you're missing a few hundred digits in there, dearheart.”
“Shut up, honey,” Yuri shot back sweetly, and everyone laughed.
“So,” Viktor said as he drew up a chair and made space for the huge stroller, which Yuuri rolled in as though they planned to let the triplets hold thew new baby too. “Do I get a turn with the little poop machine? She is so cute, Yuri, you must be thrilled.”
“Yeah, she is pretty adorable,” Yuri agreed with a grin, and handed his child over to the silver-haired Alpha. “And she's the spitting image of her Äke. With any luck, she'll have my impeccable vocabulary.”
“So planning for her first words to be fuck you?” Phichit teased, and Otabek snorted.
“Oh, give me a fucking break,” Yuri scoffed as he watched Viktor coo over his infant for a moment longer before he passed her back to Yuri, while Yuuri lifted Yuriko onto the end of Yuri's bed with her dummy in her mouth. Immediately, she rolled onto her belly and started to wiggle like a fish. “I don't swear that much.”
He paused, and like an instant replay, he realized what he'd just said, and another chorus of laughs surrounded him.
“No further evidence, your honour,” Phichit teased, and Yuri snorted as Viktor reached out to cage Yuriko in as she got up on all fours, and began to crawl shakily across his bedspread, and four adults swooped in at once to stop her from crawling off the edge.
“Come on, Yuriko,” Viktor cooed, as he turned her around to face Yuri, and sat her up. “Meet your baby sister.”
The eight-month-old blinked bemusedly at Yuri, her light pink dummy obscuring a good portion of the lower half of her face, while she stared up at Yuri and Alvinia with wide blue eyes.
Yuri decided to indulge Viktor, and carefully held out the newborn to Yuriko. The adults all seemed to hold their breath as they watched, and Viktor and Yuuri seemed to be dying inside from the cuteness—
Until Yuriko reached forward, and promptly stuck her finger up Alvinia's nose.
The move immediately woke up the newborn, and she promptly began to wail. Yuriko's eyes went wide with alarm at the sound, and the dummy fell from her mouth as she joined in with Alvinia's cries.
“Oh Alvinia, you poor thing!” Yuri yelped as he drew her close and began to rock her, while he glared over her tiny shoulder at Viktor, who was looking appropriately shamefaced as he rocked his own daughter in his arms. “Is your little nose okay?”
“I think she's okay,” Otabek said consolingly as he checked her over while Yuri held onto her. “She just got a scare.”
“We better keep an eye on them once you take her home,” Yuuri said seriously while he picked up Viktoria, who had begun to fuss from all the noise. “Newborns are so delicate, we don't want the girls to accidentally hurt her.”
“I think you guys are gonna need a new blanket term for your kids, given that now we have four girls,” Otabek pointed out, then glanced at Yuuri's stomach, “and possibly another on the way.”
“Can we please not discuss the whoops baby?” Yuuri asked weakly, his face flushing pink, and Yuri snorted a little at Yuuri's wording. “I am fighting total mental shutdown at the idea of five teenage girls in one house.”
“Better another girl than a boy,” Minami teased, “that kid leaves the toilet seat up once and they'll probably get murdered.”
“What happened to I want a house filled with children?” Yuri asked Yuuri mockingly as Alvinia began to settle down, and his flush seemed to deepen.
“I'm getting Viktor neutered after this one,” Yuuri replied teasingly, a small, amused smile spreading across his lips when Viktor, who had been sipping his coffee, promptly sprayed it out of his nose.
“It's not my fault that you're as fertile as a freaking bunny rabbit,” Viktor retorted as he mopped up himself and his daughter, who he had been holding. “I didn't mean it!”
“Can we please change the subject before we all learn way more details about Viktor and Yuuri's sex life than I'd like to know?” Yuri interrupted, and Minami and Phichit howled with laughter.
 ~*~
Yuri stayed in the hospital with Alvinia for about a day and a half. Alvinia was checked over, her newborn vaccines were administered, and she was given a clean bill of health. Otabek was also gifted with the honour of giving his daughter her first bath, with the nurse showing him how to do it without getting water on her umbilical cord.
Everyone else went home, keen to finally get some rest, and visited Yuri and Alvinia in shifts while the others babysat the triplets.
Except Nikolai, who refused to leave the hospital without them.
“All right, Mr Plisetsky,” the doctor proclaimed as he brought in a wheelchair for the new mother around noon on the second day, “you're free to go. Everything looks good, and barring complications, you and Alvinia should be just fine. Now, I don't want you having sex for at least six weeks—”
“—six weeks?” Otabek interrupted with a note of alarm in his voice. Yuri did his best not to laugh at Otabek's reaction, while the doctor's expression became even more stern.
“Six. Weeks.” The doctor frowned at Otabek, who grimaced a little and bowed his head. “Congratulations again, both of you. Yuri, you've been discharged, so you four can go home.”
“Thanks, doctor.” Yuri smiled while he rocked Alvinia in his arms. The doctor nodded once, and left them alone. Yuri adjusted his grip on Alvinia as he took Otabek's hand as he began to help him manoeuvre out of the bed and towards the waiting chair.
“If it makes you feel better, I'm not sure I can wait six weeks, either—” Yuri began, but broke off abruptly with a hiss of pain as his bottom began to sear with a dull, throbbing pain ache from the slight movement from the bed to the wheelchair. “Okay, yes I can—I may never have sex again.”
“Don't worry,” Otabek said with a soft chuckle as he moved to stroke Yuri's hair, before he bowed forward and offered his mate a gentle kiss. “In a few weeks, the pain will all be gone, and you'll feel much better.”
“I hope so,” Yuri mumbled as Otabek straightened up and began to wheel Yuri towards the recovery room door. “I'm not enjoying the idea of waddling around forever like I had a cannon up my ass.”
“Well, you can rest when we get home; Phichit and the others promised to move our bed back upstairs.”
“Why am I not comforted by that, I wonder?” Yuri asked, and Otabek snorted.
“Viktor promised to be more careful this time, plus Minami is helping, and Yuuri is supervising,” Otabek said, and Yuri laughed softly.
“I can't wait to hear the story of how Viktor nearly killed himself this time...”
“Have you no faith in us?” Otabek asked as he wheeled him out into the hall, and headed for the waiting room, where Nikolai had been waiting for them to finish with the doctor.
“None whatsoever.”
“Oh, thanks,” Otabek retorted, and Yuri smirked to himself. “I'll have you know us alphas are completely capable of doing things without paying someone else to do it—hey, stop laughing!”
“Is Viktor getting concussed by an AWOL mattress your idea of completely capable?” he asked between bouts of laughter, wiping tears from his eyes as Otabek slowed his wheelchair to a stop in front of Nikolai.
“You certainly seem to be in good spirits,” his grandfather remarked as he smiled down at Yuri and Alvinia. “And how is my právnōchka doing today?”
“She's fine,” Yuri replied with a small smile as he rocked the sleeping baby in his arms. “She's been sleeping mostly, but woke up long enough to eat.”
“Oh, you're a lucky young man,” Nikolai said with a chortle as he turned, and they began to make their way out of the hospital. “You were a little terror as a baby. Your poor Mat` could never get you to settle down, I think you screamed nonstop for the first six months of your life.”
“Sounds like you haven't changed much,” Otabek teased, and Yuri reached up to swat him, making both his grandfather and his mate laugh.
They stopped outside the Mercedes, and to Yuri's amazement, a back-facing baby seat had been set up in the back of the car perfectly. It was perched behind the passenger seat, and Otabek proudly showed Yuri how securely the thing had been strapped in before Yuri allowed Otabek to relieve the omega of the baby and carefully strap her in, adjusting the size of the cushions carefully to keep her from being jostled while they drove.
“I'm impressed,” Yuri teased as Otabek circled the car with the wheelchair and helped Yuri into the back seat next to Alvinia. “You managed to get the car seat in without any disasters.” He glanced up and looked at Otabek, then flicked his gaze to his grandfather. He arched a brow, and looked back to his mate, who had suddenly found the stitching on the wheelchair fascinating. Yuri coughed pointedly, and Otabek's face began to flush red. When he finally glanced up, Yuri raised an eyebrow at him inquiringly, and Nikolai chuckled warmly.
“Nikolai may have helped a little...” Otabek muttered as he glanced away, “...erm, he may have fixed the disaster that I created...”
“You are hopeless,” Yuri said with a snort, and Otabek offered him a weak, apologetic smile.
 ~*~
After Otabek helped Yuri shift from the wheelchair to the back seat next to Alvinia, he packed the wheelchair into the trunk of the car while Nikolai took the passenger seat. Otabek drove, driving comically slowly while simultaneously checking his mirrors almost obsessively. Alvinia whined and fussed, and Yuri cooed at his daughter as the car moved.
“Oh, precious, you don't like speed either, do you?” Yuri asked as he rocked her seat as best he could, and moved his other hand to lightly stroke her little chubby cheek. “You must be mine.”
“I'm barely going thirty kilometres!” Otabek complained from the front of the car, “I'm trying to go slow, all right?”
“Any slower, and we'd be going backwards,” Nikolai pointed out, and Yuri snorted when Otabek scowled, and he sped up incrementally.
Chuckling, Yuri turned his attention back to Alvinia. Her face was screwed up and tense, and she was whining and fussing, but not quite crying yet.
“Beka,” Yuri called, “I don't mean to rush you, but I have a feeling that she's a little time bomb that's going to go off any minute—so either speed up, or pull over so that I can calm her down.”
Otabek glanced into the rear view mirror, and Yuri could see a frown tugging at the corners of his mouth with a conflicted look in his eyes.
“My dear alpha,” Yuri said with mock sweetness in his voice. “If you keep going under the speed limit, we'll get pulled over. Just relax, and speed up. Alvinia's fussing, but she's not hurt; this is just new for her, and it might take a couple trips to get her used to cars. All right?”
Otabek nodded, and moved up to sixty. Yuri offered him a warm smile, and did his best to swallow his amusement. If Otabek's attitude over the last two days was any indication, Yuri could assume that as they watched their little girl grow up, Otabek would likely be a complete and total pushover.
And you, my little one, will have your Äke wrapped around your little finger, Yuri thought as he rocked the car seat, and stroked Alvinia's cheek while they turned around the corner and their house came into view.
“Welcome home, Alvinia,” Yuri murmured to his daughter, and she let out a tiny sigh as she finally began to settle.

LEVEL CD - AĞUSTOS 2002
Blog’un ilk post’u ve aldığımız ilk LEVEL sayısı. Yazın abim dergiyi getirdiğinde hayran kalmıştım, kapağındaki Neverwinter Nights, sağ alt köşedeki DOOM 3, içeriğinde Magic the Gathering Online, Lionheart.
CD DRIVE (D:) LEVEL_08_2002
CD Müziği: Warcraft 3 Rise of the Ancients ( Night Elves)
Tumblr media
Playstation’dan bildiğim Duke Nukem’i görmek benim için büyük sürprizdi, asla unutamadığım CD görsellerinden.
DEMOLAR
Tumblr media
O dönemler Pop Cap’in yaptığı oyunlar vardı.

Ben her fırsatta bizimkilerden bilgisayar istiyordum.
GTA serisini ilk oyundan beri oynardık (kuzenin bilgisayarda), Black Pearl’e kurduğumuz ilk oyun olabilir. 15 Sene olmuş, vay be.

From Gamers to DOTAers? Why DOTA?
Of The Rings gituu hahaha.
Tumblr media
Tampilan logo Warcraft III Frozen Throne (cikal bakal DOTA)
Dari dia pula saya diajari “how to build up great Item”.
Jadi walaupun ga main DOTA saya masih jadi gamers.
Main, buat happy2 aja kok wkwk sama ngikutin kompetisi dunia DOTA aja btw seru aslii.
Tumblr media
DOTA 2 cuuy

Earth's life
Earth's life
the moon The moon is a large Earth-like satellite, with a quarter of the diameter of the planet. The moon is the largest satellite in the solar system, in relation to the size of its planet, and the orbits around other planets are called moons after the Earth's moon. The gravity between the planet and the moon results in a tidal phenomenon on Earth. This same effect on the moon led to a tidal block: the period of its rotation is the same as it takes to orbit the Earth. As a result, it always faces the planet with only one face. As the moon orbits the Earth, the sun illuminates different parts of its face, resulting in different lunar phases. The luminous part of the moon is separated from the dark part by the solar line between the illuminating part and the dark part. Due to the tidal interactions that occur on Earth's surface, the Moon is about 38 millimeters away from the Sun a year. Over millions of years, these simple changes - in addition to increasing the length of the day on the planet by 23 milliseconds a year - will bring about dramatic changes. For example, during the Devonian Period (about 410 million years ago) there were 400 days a year and each day lasted 21.8 hours. (32) The Moon significantly affects the evolution of life on Earth by helping to moderate the planet's climate. Both ancient biology studies and computer simulations show that the tilt of the Earth's axis and its stability in this situation is caused by tidal interactions with the moon. Some theorists believe that without this constancy in the Earth's axis versus the torque caused by the Sun and other planets on the eclipse at the equator, the axis's rotation may be randomly unstable - leading to massive changes of the planet over millions of years. Like Mars. If the Earth's axis of rotation comes close to the surface of the Sun's apparent circle of circles, it can lead to very harsh weather due to the very large seasonal variations that will occur. Scientists studying planets and celestial bodies who have studied the impact of this on the planet have predicted that this could lead to the death of all large-scale animals and the destruction of plant life. But this is still a subject of controversy, and it may be decided by future studies of Mars - a planet with a period of rotation and inclination of its axis like the planet, but not followed by a large moon, and its core is not liquid. Observing the moon from the planet, it is far enough to appear in the form of a disc with a clear shape like the sun. It is worth noting that the angular size (or stereoscopic angle) of these two objects is identical because, although the diameter of the sun about 400 times larger than the diameter of the moon, it is also about 400 times the distance from the Earth that the distance from the moon from the Earth. This allows a total eclipse and annular eclipse to occur on the Earth's surface. The theory of the impact of the impact of the giant body of the most accepted theories that explain the emergence of the moon. According to this theory, the moon was formed as a result of the collision of a primitive planet the size of Mars called the "Thea" planet Earth in its early stages. This (among other assumptions) explains the relative lack of iron and volatile elements on the moon, as well as the fact that the moon's composition is almost identical to that of the Earth's crust. Earth's life A planet that is fit for life is called habitable even if it does not. The Earth provides the basic conditions necessary for the presence of water and a suitable environment in which organic molecules can accumulate and the energy needed to support and promote food metabolism. Several factors contribute to the conditions necessary to establish life on the planet. These factors include the distance of the planet from the sun, its movement in its orbit, its instability, its rate of rotation, its deviation from it, its geological history, its permanent atmosphere and its protective magnetic field. biosphere Life forms on the planet are sometimes said to represent the biosphere. In general, it is believed that the biosphere began to develop about 3.5 billion years ago. The planet is the only place in the universe where life exists. Even more, some scientists believe that places suitable for life such as Earth are rare in the universe. The biosphere is divided into a number of biotic environments in which a large number of similar plants and animals live. Factors separating vital environments include the latitude circle and the height of land from sea level. Terrestrial biota in the Arctic, Antarctic or Highlands is free of any animal or plant life, while the largest variety of life forms at the equator. Exploitation of land and natural resources The Earth provides the resources necessary for man to use it to achieve useful goals. Some of these resources are non-renewable, such as mineral fuels, and are not recoverable in a short period of time. Large quantities of fossil fuel deposits were obtained from the Earth's crust consisting of coal, oil, natural gas and methane compounds. Humans used these deposits to produce energy as a raw material for chemical reactions. Mineral raw materials are also formed in the Earth's crust through the process of the formation of earth ore or minerals from the erosion of its layers and the movements of geotechnical plates. These materials are rich sources of many minerals and other useful elements. The Earth's biosphere provides many vital products for humans, including but not limited to: food, wood, drugs, medicines, oxygen, and the re-exploitation of many organic waste and residues. The land-based ecosystem depends on the presence of soil surface and clean water, while the ocean ecosystem relies on dissolved nutrients that have been swept away from land. Humans live on land through the use of raw building materials in the construction of housing shelters. In 1993  Human land use rates are as follows: Use drawdowns for percentage land Agricultural lands 13.13% Permanent crops 4.71% Permanent pastures 26% Forest 32% Urban areas 1.5% Other uses 30% In 1993, the area of irrigated land was estimated at 2,481,250 km². Natural and environmental hazards Large areas of the Earth are exposed to extreme weather conditions such as cyclones, tropical storms and tropical cyclones. Many places are also affected by earthquakes, landslides, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, troughs, snowstorms, floods, droughts and other natural disasters. In addition, many human-populated areas are exposed to many types of human-induced pollution such as air and water pollution, acid rain, toxic substances and the disappearance of plant life (due to many reasons, including overgrazing, deforestation, desertification), disappearance of wildlife and extinction. Some animal species, soil erosion, lack of some useful elements, depletion of soil and the emergence of alien organisms. Scientists agree that there is a close link between human activities and global warming due to increased carbon dioxide emissions from factories and from the increasing emissions of hydrocarbons. Earth's population of about 6 billion now has about 500 million cars and buses, all of which emit carbon dioxide and other harmful gases, all of which increase and accumulate these gases in the atmosphere. This is expected to lead to dramatic changes on Earth such as rising temperatures, melting glaciers and melting Antarctica, which will lead to an increase in water levels in the oceans and seas which means that countless islands and all lowlands such as the Netherlands will be doomed. Drowning. Severe temperature changes increase the intensity of hurricanes and hurricanes, and increase the amount of destruction they generate in return. Human Geography The study of cartography and geography is among the sciences that have been dedicated throughout history to describe the earth. Surveys (locating and spacing between them) and navigation (locating and orientating objects) appeared alongside these two flags - providing accurate information. The world population in November 2008 was about 6.740 billion people. Indicators show that the global population density will reach 7 billion in 2013, and in 2050 this number will rise to 9.2 billion. Most of this population growth is expected to be in developing countries. Population density varies from one place to another globally, but increases significantly in Asia. By 2020, it is expected that about 60% of the world's population will live in cities rather than in the countryside. Three-quarters of the Earth's surface is covered by the oceans. In addition, half of the land will be either a desert (14%), and the remainder will be heights and mountains (27%) or inappropriate terrain for humans to live on. The northernmost of the human colonies is the city of Alert on the island of Alzmir in Nunavat, Canada (at 82 ° and 28 minutes longitude), the southernmost of which is the Antarctic Amundsen Scott Station (90 ° S). Sovereign States occupy all land on the planet, except for some parts of Antarctica. In 2014, there were 206 independent sovereign States, including one hundred and ninety-three United Nations Member States, occupying land. Historically, the earth has not been ruled by a single government in control of the entire world, despite numerous conflicts between nations for world domination, but all these attempts have failed. The United Nations is a global organization working to resolve conflicts between states and thus avoid armed conflicts. However, it is not considered a global government. Although the United Nations offers a means of enforcing international law and although there is sometimes unanimous approval by its members for military intervention, it is essentially a forum for international diplomacy. The first man to orbit the Earth was Yuri Gagarin on April 12, 1961. In 2004, 400 people toured outer space and returned to the Earth's orbit, 12 of them on the moon. Persons who live in space for a long time are employees of the International Space Station, and the crew of the space station, which consists of three people, is replaced every six months. The longest man's journey to outer space was in 1970 when the crew of the Apollo 13, a three-person crew, traveled 400,171 kilometers away from Earth's surface. In human culture The English name "Earth" is derived from the word "erda" which is of Anglo-Saxon origin, which means the soil or surface on which we walk. The word was then distorted to "eorthe" in ancient English, until it reached "erthe" in medieval English. The planet's astronomical symbol is two intersecting lines around it. The Arabic word currently used to describe the planet Earth is used in the Arabic language since at least the fourth century AD, and is mentioned in the Koran about 444 times. The land was often elevated to worship or sanctification and made gods. In many cultures, mother gods, also called Mother Earth, were portrayed as the goddess of fertility. Creation myths in many religions recall the story of the creation of the earth by a group of supernatural gods. Many religious groups emphasize, in Christian doctrine or Islam, The various interpretations of how the earth is created in the Scriptures are a reality and should be considered in line with the discoveries of modern science or replaced by traditional scientific interpretations of the earth's origin, origin and evolution. Scientific and other religious communities oppose such interpretations. One of the most prominent examples of this controversy over the genesis of creation. The earth was once thought to be flat, But this belief was altered and replaced by the belief in the spherical Earth because of observations of scientists and orbiting the Earth. Man's perception of the Earth has changed considerably after he invaded outer space and made many trips around it. This is reflected in the increasing environmental movement on the extent of human influence on the planet. In this context, the establishment of a World Earth Day aimed at raising awareness and concern for the environment of the planet.
