dbz’s great because the saiyan saga and the namek saga feel connected and a part of one series but then the cell and buu saga feel so detached and like their own things
#snap chats#like there's only like a week-long break in between the saiyan and namek sagas#not even like they already start getting into it straight away once the fight's over#theyre already talkinga bout going to namek#but after the namek saga there's like a three-year break#so then we come back and its like Oh Yeah Hi Guys#dont even get me started on the seven year break with the buu saga LMAO#its genuinely super funny tho and i love it very much#i like how theres time skips in db honestly i really do#its like- its like real life you know?#because not everything exciting happens in one rapid succession#and there acn be years of Absolutely Nothing and normalcy#but then yk. something extraordinary happens every once in a while and its like Oh Shit#it really gives the characters a bit of time to just Exist and be people- even if we don't get to see it#the implication there is nice enough#however i would have loved seven years of tien brooding and overthinking his relationship with yamcha 😩
