i think (in my version, anyhow) madelyn perhaps knows maeve better than anyone else.

ok there are definitely arguments that her dad knows her best, or homelander in his way, or, honestly, ashley. my controversial statement is i don't think there's any legitimate case (in my version) that elena actually knows maeve the best. CARES FOR HER the most, but I don't think she has as much of a claim as any of those other people lmao partly because of how maeve keeps her at a distance/lies to her for the sake of protecting her or protecting what they have

but yeah i think madelyn actually does know her best
