I was finally discharged from the hospital yesterday, and to no one's shock I'm still in an incredible amount of pain. When I was ready to get to bed last night, I was almost in tears just trying to roll over and get a heating pad around my stomach -- and this is after taking some heavy-duty narcotics.

I let my dog sleep on the bed with me, and usually he stays at the foot where I've got a blanket and a body pillow set up for him. He's not big on cuddling or being touched when he wants to sleep.

Last night, though, he crawled up next to me and fwumped over so that he was pressed against my stomach. I don't know if he knew I was hurt there and wanted to fix it (he did something similar when I had COVID, though it wasn't nearly as effective), or if he just liked the heating pad and wanted in on that. But he stayed like that until I fell asleep. I haven't slept very well within the last week.

Whether he meant it to help, I feel so much better today. I don't deserve him.

Look at my little man! Went to a photo studio for a session over a month ago and had so much fun! He loved being spoiled with treats (Chicken in a Biscuit was the only option) and having the constant belly rubs from everyone that day.... Definitely will get this framed 😍😍😍😍
