'absolutely not' is a superior insult lmao#one of my favorite dennis quote i've decided#dennis: i hate everyone vs. dennis with charlie: best friend!!!!! i love u#like he's a dick to charlie too but here's my theory (go with me here) dennis needs validation right? like he's rly needy and insecure#so he needs ppl to validate their love/or whatever to him and mac (for example) does that all the time#so dennis feels safe being mean to mac because he knows mac loves him and always strives for his approval (also why dennis rarely gives it)#but charlie is fairly independant like he doesn't care that much what dennis thinks of him#so he doesn't always try to win dennis over the way mac does opposite is true actually#so dennis becomes very clingy and needy with charlie because he feels rejected by charlie because charlie isnt as codependent#does this make sense to anyone else?
