It was Thursday morning and Eddie was up early to get to work. Early for him, anyway. It was 8:30 in the morning. He didn't open his tattoo shop till 10:00am so that gave him enough time to take his morning shower, grab his coffee and make it to work. He had not been counting on feeling this fucking shitty though.
He felt fine when he went to bed with his wife the night before but he woke up with a sore throat and unbeknownst to him - a fever. He was pouring his cup of coffee when his wife came in and immediately told him to get back to bed.
"You know I can't do that, Chris." It wasn't that he couldn't. Eddie was just stubborn. He had his appointments notebook in his work backpack. He could literally sit down and call his clients to cancel and reschedule. Hey, Chrissy could even do it for him.
"Do I look that bad?"
