Beauty and the Beast

An alternate universe where the ancestors of the Sky kingdom was spared from the effects of the Eden shards by the mercy of megabird, and transformed into half-creatures of the land.

When the ancestors lived on as centauroid creatures, they divided upon themselves as dark-taurs (consisting of krilltaurs, crabtaurs, merleviathans etc.) and light-taurs (mantataurs, mermanatees, merwhales, merturtles, merjellies and birdtaurs). Although the two did not see each other eye to eye, they nonetheless lived under one society.

Krilltaurs, crabtaurs, merturtles and merwhales tend to be chosen as guardians or guards. With shells as extra protection, they were excellent at warding off dark dragons and would-be trouble makers.

Deltos, a krilltaur, served as a guard of a humble little town situated in the Daylight Prairie. He met Soleil during patrol when the guard team he was in stumbled on her family's ranch near Prairie peaks. With Soleil sheltered from civilization, she was unprejudiced against dark-taurs, to which Deltos was charmed by.

This is an "Alternate universe" setting, as Deltos is one of my guard OCs who is the head guard of a travelling caravan.

But the thought of a centaur AU for SkyCOTL tickled my mind~

Disability aid in Sky: a sketch dump

I know it’s been a while since the “Warrior of love” quest, but something has been on my mind about it ever since when I saw it for the first time. Because, for the first time in the entirety of sky, we see a spirit using a mobility aid. A crutch, to be exact.  Such thing of course excited me, and I started thinking about what other types of mobility\disability aids could the ancestors had when the kingdom was alive, with all the magical creatures and technologies?  How would, for example, a wheelchair work in a kingdom that is mostly reliant on flight?  What kind of creatures would be used as service animals? So, I decided to sketch out some ideas

Elder dark dragon from dragonvale!

Based on when I was playing Sky earlier and I was trying to get pictures of the krill. I dodged this big guy twice and got some pretty cool pictures so I'll say that the terror I felt was worth it

The Stinky Dragon Child Arukoo

Arukoo was a Sky child born from a long abandoned Sky child statue, who as a tiny dragon child, crawled inside for safety. After years of dormancy and hibernating inside this lifeless vessel, they find themselves merging with the body itself and was reborn into a Sky child with peculiar antlers.

He was a subspecies of Dark dragons that are much much smaller, and instead scavenges for food and prefers to scuttle and hide in soft sandy beds or dark water. Unfortunately, their larger cousins do not consider them as family, and WILL eat them. Thus, this subspecies of dark dragon would feed on the crystals formed on fallen bodies and shards, in order to disguise themselves and avoid getting eaten.

Arukoo never really grew out of the trait of scavenging, and so will eat food such as bugs or scavenge from trash bins in search of sustenance.

His hard scutes have now become white and flexible scales on his upper torso area, which will fold or puff up depending on his mood.
