Forever | Modern Aegon Drabble

It’s no secret that Aegon is needy. You discovered that after you’d spent your first night with him. You’d woken up in the night needing the toilet, leaving for all of about ten seconds when you saw a shadow near the door, pacing back and forth.
“Aeg?” You whispered.
A nickname you’d given him only moments into your first date. You’d known Aegon through school, so you weren’t as nervous and you normally would be with things like this.
You finished in the bathroom, walking out to find him sitting on the bed, biting his nails, his hair messy, but not from sleep.
“Aeg?” You repeated as he looked up at you with big, glassy eyes.
“Sorry” he mumbled, as he stood up and wrapped his arms around you.
“It’s okay” you cooed, “but what’s wrong?”
“I thought you’d left” he mumbled, you felt gentle tears rolling down your shoulder. “I woke up and you were gone, I got worried.”
“Oh Aegon” you sighed, stroking his hair and calming him. You’d barely been on two dates and you already loved this boy and everything that came with him.
“I’m never leaving” you promised. Aegon brushed this off as you comforting him.
However, that promise lasted forever.
It lasted through to your engagement, when Aegon took you to a secluded beach in the Dominican Republic and got down on one knee, a beautiful diamond ring in front of you.
It lasted through the birth of your first child. Who Aegon adored more than life itself. Her eyes taking away all his worries of fatherhood the moment he looked into them.
Through the complications of your second child, that landed you in hospital for weeks. With Aegon going between home and the hospital, trying to look after a four year old, a newborn and his beloved wife.
When you watched your third child go to university, tears streaming down your face as you dropped them off. Aegon wrapped his arms around you and assured you they would be fine, that you had already done this before with your eldest.
When you said you were never leaving, you really meant it. You loved Aegon, and you planned on loving him forever.

Headcanon // Aegon’s Summer at Targaryen Corp
Viserys made Aegon work throughout his summer at his company to help him act like more of an ‘adult’
Aegons reluctantly agreed - with the one condition that he would get his own office - far away from Otto and his father
No one catches on that Aegon always seems to be in ‘meetings’ with the various summer intern girls that the company has employed
Until the one intern that isn’t interested in him at all gets on his nerves because she’s the hottest and all he wants to do is get in her pants
He sits on her desk every morning with a cup of coffee after that - finding out her order from one of the other interns
She politely thanks him but then sends him away insisting she has work to do - Aegon pouts but leaves eventually
He of course then moves all the interns around so her desk is right in front of his office - and yes he stares at her all day long
After that, he stops fucking the interns and makes it his goal of the summer to have her - not just in his bed, but in his life

Modern! Aegon Headcanon
Aegon stressing about what to buy you for your birthday and trying to ask Aemond for help. Aemond mentions that you like a painting and want to go see it. Finally your birthday comes round and Aemond waits for Aegon to give you his present, expecting it to be museum tickets to see your favourite artist, but nope, Aegon being Aegon took it too literally and bought you the fucking painting because he’s rich and you’re gobsmacked as you try to find the words to ask how he got hold of it.

AU University Aegon Headcanon
Kind of have an idea for an AU Aegon fanfic...
They go to university together and have lived together since first year because Aegon couldn’t deal with scabby dorms he made his dad rent him a flat.
They met during a levels and she became his tutor because he partied wayyy too hard in first year and paid no attention so his mother hired a y/n tutor to make sure he didn’t fail his exams.
He fell for her the first time he met her, not used to having girls act the way she did around him, she didn't care for his flirty and careless personality, she was also ridiculously beautiful but he’d never say that out loud.
She ended up being the reason he passed his a levels, and did well enough to get into uni, coincidentally Aegon picked the same uni as her.
Aegon ended up convincing his mother to let him have a party to celebrate, y/n and Aegon ended up talking all night, the night they became best friends.
When Viserys agreed to rent out a flat, Aegons mother asked y/n to move in with Aegon to make sure he didn’t trash it and have too many parties.
Although they had separate rooms, Aegon often ended up having nightmares about his childhood and sneaking into y/ns room at night to feel safe.
By second year, they were inseparable, but still totally different. Aegon was popular, carefree and cool, y/n kept to herself, and was usually in the university library if she wasn't dragged to a party that night by Aegon.
