Mukhwak Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar: Satgur Poore Bhana, Ta Japiya Naam Ramana, Gobind Kirpa Dhaari, Prabh Raakhi Paej Hamari ;  Raga Sorath Mahalla 5th Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji from Ang 628 of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Poetic Translation As designed by the Guru Accomplished, On Lord Divine, I meditated. The Master being in favor, The Preceptor vindicated my honor. (1) It is ever peace at the Lord's feet. Whatever one wishes one gets, Nothing does He unheed (1) Refrain He whom the Provider takes kindly, The devotee lauds the Lord. His mind is given to loving devotion, He endears the Supreme God. (2) He meditates on the Master day and night Saved from the treacherous potion, The Creator takes him in His care, He finds himself in the company of men of devotion. (3) He stretched His arm, provided fully, and brought about the union. Says Nanak, all the objectives accomplished I find myself with the Lord Perfect in communion. The True Master has protected our honor by bestowing His Grace on us. We started reciting Lord's True Name when the Perfect Guru appreciated our actions and blessed us with His Grace. The Lord pervades on all sides equally and is perceived everywhere as omnipresent. ( 1) O, friend! We are trying to acquire the touch of the lotus feet of the Lord which brings solace to our agitated minds. In fact, man attains whatever he had wished for by getting in touch with the Lord and getting his desires fulfilled and the hopes or desires never remain unfulfilled or go to waste. (Pause-1) The holy saints, sing the praises of the Lord, who are blessed with the Grace of the Lord, who controls our lives and finally showers His benign Mercy on us. They are enamored with the glimpse of the Lord, as they have always been imbued with the love of the Lord and are engaged in the devotion of the Lord. (2) Now we sing the praises of the Lord all the twenty-four hours so that the (poisonous) wild growth of worldly falsehood which had caught hold of our mind and attention has been shed away. Now the True Master has enabled us to merge with Him and as a result all the holy saints, who have controlled their minds, have become our friends and comrades in the world. (3) O, Nanak: I Now the Lord has given us the right lead by catching hold of our hands, blessed us with worldly possessions, and united us with Himself. When I realize the True Guru and all the worldly pleasures, the Lord has enabled me to merge with Him fully. (4-15-79) Translation in Punjabi (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਤ੍ਰੁੱਠਦਾ ਹੈ) ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ (ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਅਸਾਂ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ, ਤਾਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਲਾਜ ਰੱਖ ਲਈ (ਬਿਖੈ ਠਗਉਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ) ॥੧॥ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ। (ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰਿ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ) ਜੋ ਕੁਝ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹੀ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਹੈਤਾ ਉਤੇ ਰੱਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ) ਆਸ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸੰਤ (ਸੁਭਾਉ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਰ-ਭਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਿਰ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਠਗ-ਬੂਟੀ ਦਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਜਿਸ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਮਨ ਜੋੜਿਆ) ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲਿਆ, ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਗੀ-ਸਾਥੀ ਬਣ ਗਏ ॥੩॥ (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਜਿਸ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ - ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਗਏ ॥੪॥੧੫॥੭੯॥ Hukamnama in Hindi सोरठ महला ५ ॥ सतगुर पूरे भाणा ॥ ता जपिआ नाम रमाणा ॥ गोबिंद किरपा धारी ॥ प्रभ राखी पैज हमारी ॥१॥ हर के चरन सदा सुखदाई ॥ जो इछहि सोई फल पावहि बिरथी आस न जाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ क्रिपा करे जिस प्रानपत दाता सोई संत गुण गावै ॥ प्रेम भगत ता का मन लीणा पारब्रहम मन भावै ॥२॥ आठ पहर हर का जस रवणा बिखै ठगउरी लाथी ॥ संग मिलाइ लीआ मेरै करतै संत साध भए साथी ॥३॥ कर गहि लीने सरबस दीने आपहि आप मिलाइआ ॥ कहु नानक सरब थोक पूरन पूरा सतिगुरु पाइआ ॥४॥१५॥७९॥ अर्थ: (हे भाई!) ( Satgur Poore Bhana, Ta Jappia Naam Ramaana.. ) जब गुरू को अच्छा लगता है जब गुरू प्रसन्न होता है) तब ही परमात्मा का नाम जपा जा सकता है। परमात्मा ने मेहर की (गुरू मिलाया! गुरू की कृपा से हमने नाम जपा, तब) परमात्मा ने हमारी लाज रख ली (हमें ठगने से बचा लिया) ॥१॥ हे भाई! परमात्मा के चरण सदा सुख देने वाले हैं। (जो मनुष्य हरी-चरणों का सहारा लेते हैं, वह) जो कुछ (परमात्मा से) मांगते हैं वही फल प्राप्त कर लेते हैं। (परमात्मा के ऊपर रखी हुई कोई भी) आस व्यर्थ नहीं जाती ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ हे भाई! जीवन का मालिक दातार प्रभू जिस मनुष्य पर मेहर करता है वह संत (स्वभाव बन जाता है, और) परमात्मा की सिफ़त-सलाह के गीत गाता है। उस मनुष्य का मन परमात्मा की प्यार-भरी भक्ति में मस्त हो जाता है, वह मनुष्य परमात्मा के मन को प्यारा लगने लग जाता है ॥२॥ हे भाई! आठों पहर (हर समय) परमात्मा की सिफ़त-सलाह करने से विकारों की ठग-बूटी का ज़ोर खत्म हो जाता है। (जिस भी मनुष्य ने परमात्मा की सिफ़त-सलाह में मन जोड़ा) करतार ने (उस को) अपने साथ मिला लिया, संत जन उस के संगी-साथी बन गए ॥३॥ (हे भाई! गुरू की श़रण पड़ कर जिस भी मनुष्य ने प्रभू-चरणों का अराधन किया) प्रभू ने उस का हाथ पकड़ कर उस को सब कुछ बख़्श़ दिया, प्रभू ने उस को अपना आप ही मिला दिया। नानक जी कहते हैं - जिस मनुष्य को पूरा गुरू मिल गया, उस के सभी कार्य सफल हो गए ॥४॥१५॥७९॥ Read the full article
