SPN but Mary lives instead, and John’s the one that gets deified.
When Mary finds out the entire remainder of Campbell family is out to pre-emptively kill her baby Sam, she trains Dean and Sam to be ultra-hunters in order to protect them from hunters.
And killing Azazel/YED is about revenge, sure. Azazel killed her parents and John.
But when she finds out killing Azazel can turn Sam into a normal (non-psychic) baby, that’s when she truly becomes obsessed.
She wants her babies to be safe. For Sam to become normal.
And striving for it obliterates the chance for either.
BREAK & FOOD (or, the atrocious thing he calls a diet)
strap in, guys. okay, so, obviously, break has a sweet tooth. while this is largely just a haha funny bit, it's also the majority of his diet. he doesn't eat any other food, unless he's forced out of a lack of energy or somebody else pushing it on him.
it's a running theme in the manga that break looks very sickly, and he does. partially due to his pseudo albinism i imagine, though he's also putting effort into appearing harmless from a superficial perspective. and i do believe his chronic illness symptoms play a part in this later down the line. while not as bad when he first contracts mad hatter, eventually, it becomes harder for him to keep heavier foods down.
he's always been fond of sweets. after skipping time, it became a bit less of a simple preference, and more of a way to process his depression, as well. the sugar made him feel a little happier, essentially. and, since his body is so used to processing it at this point, and since most sweets are relatively light, he eventually figured out that it's a lot easier to eat sweets all the time, than it is to try and eat heavier foods and throw them up half an hour later.
obviously, this is not sustainable, but it's his avoidant way of dealing with his disabilities. can't feel sick if you don't eat what makes you feel sick, even if it's a majority of the food pyramid. the help of his friends was essential for keeping him relatively healthy. gilbert cooked for him a lot, and reim tried to keep an eye on his diet as well, though he knew he wouldn't be as successful with getting him to eat as gilbert is.
all in all, in spirale, he'll sometimes eat other things just to get people off his back about it. it's harder when nobody knows that you're basically terminally ill. though, he does still primarily stick to sweets, and sometimes refuses to answer when asked if he's eaten anything else.
he also chews his candy. the same goes for ice cream.
I got a lettuce flower pot on sale this weekend, and made a little salad bar for the Groundhog family that lives under the shed. We still need to patch some parts of the veggie fence, and I hope that and the copious amounts of clover and dandelion on our lawn will keep them busy. Mom explored first, but the babies later came by themselves.
