Dawn breaks over the labyrinth of hedges and bodies and sheds light on the faces of the Vasiles, armed with their hidden artillery. Some were capable of escaping overnight, bringing with them the limp victims of the carnage in hopes of delivering them to safety before the hourglass runs out, while others stayed behind to escort their cohorts to the exits. The Vasiles take their leave, and the rest find their ways home—or find their graves. Of course, the media operated by the Vasiles tells a different story, clearing their own consciences in the eyes of the city and pointing fingers at the O’Sheas and the Fausts. The scene strikes a chord with the FBI, and agents are en route to descend upon the city, though their eyes aren’t narrowed on only the Fausts and O’Sheas. For the time being, the families are healing and rebuilding, but tensions are higher than ever, and the families on all sides are angry.
On the other end of the screen sits the judge, clicking through channels like it’s Saturday morning cartoons. The next morning, a letter arrives at each of the families’ residences, handwritten but without giveaways that could allude to any identity. It reads:
Let every man and woman count himself immortal. Let him say not merely, “Christ is risen,” but “I shall rise.”
There’s an image attached to the letter, held in place by a meager paperclip. The photograph is gruesome with three familiar heads lined up on a table, old bloods who came before the new generation of Chicago figureheads. The first is identified as Francesco Faust, a counselor for the mafia operating out of Sicily, Italy, a red ribbon folded over his eyes. The second, Matthias O’Shea, the brother of Mason O’Shea, operating out of Dublin, Ireland, a red ribbon draped over his ears. The third, Olezka Vasile, an avtorityet operating out of St. Petersburg, Russia, a red ribbon binding his mouth.
If your stomach can do you the justice, you’ll find the figure of a woman in a scarlet dress posed in the background, her face inconspicuously shielded by her hand. Somehow, the realization hits harder than the photograph—you’ve seen this woman before, idling at the entrance of the Art Institute, roaming the lobby of the hotel during the blackout, disappearing before the hors d’oeuvres made their rounds on New Years, swerving through the crowd at the Fire and Ice Festival, watching but not indulging at Navy Pier. She’s always been there, sinking into the walls before the night descends into chaos. But how could she have done this all on her own ?
The Washington Gala: Chicago Day of Giving event is now over. Feel free to finish up your threads, but also, feel free to start fresh.

                                                       PART II
The Crimson City has taken new shape as The Emerald City, and the booze pours like water. Of course, anyone with foresight will know even a Saint Patrick’s Day celebration can’t go untouched by at least one of the families. The drinks have made their rounds, whether that’s lounged at the bar or courtesy of the green and orange clad waiters delivering martinis on a tray. Everyone found their way to their favorite attraction—more like staggered to their favorite attraction—when the heat pooled at their toes, licked its way up their ankles. Before they knew it, their entire bodies were consumed in heat, reddening their cheeks like a sunburn in the middle of Chicago’s burning summer.
It clicked just a little too late that they had been dosed, and the rage set in before common sense. Something erupted in the crowd, volcanic and angry, and the fights broke out like they were on a schedule. It was chaos; chaos that couldn’t be contained by the police guards eyeing the perimeter to prevent an event like last time. Civilians and family members alike, everyone present, began to lose their grip on reality. Attachments were lost in the wildfire of it all, and those who looked like friends morphed into something to be feared.
The O’Shea creation, BUA, and its side effects come from equal parts LSD, methamphetamines, and cocaine, all without the floating euphoria of feeling high. It’s very capable of killing, even in small doses, and even with the likelihood that you’ll survive, the drug leaves its traces on your brain for weeks after ingestion. BUA comes in all forms, and it can be injected, snorted, and smoked, depending on the vehicle of delivery. BUA is incredibly addictive, and it’s hard enough to get a hold of that anyone who ingests the drug will deal with the aftermath of withdrawals.
Your character, for the time being, is under the influence of BUA, meaning they may act out of character and violent toward their surroundings. That includes friends, enemies, and strangers.
Part II will run from March 20th through March 23rd. For this event, we’ll be throwing characters into groups, so they may interact with whoever they’re teamed up with. You can find all of your assigned groups below. If your character is not included, please feel free to reach out to the admins, and we’ll find a place for your muse. Also please note that your character could have been drugged by drinking any drink or eating any food.

THE FIRE & ICE FESTIVAL PART II
With only a few hiccups, the typical drunken swinging and the hallucinogenic haze sweeping through the bodies that sway idly by the stage, the evening rolls on relatively smoothly. Tension was high among the crowd, but overall there weren’t any large fouls. The bands continue to play after Dante: Cage the Irrelevant, followed by Kendrew Lemur with special guest Gween Stewboski. Most of the crowd is speechless by the time Blaze & Saddles, with their very own Axe Rosé performs. However, the crowd indulges in a few more drinks, the nerves are a little more lax—until RYAN HAYES and his band ‘Til I Die take the stage. The first few songs are pulled off without a hitch, but as soon as the fourth in his set hits its first riff, the screens flicker and switch off, only to burst back to life. The scene would be familiar to most O’Sheas and their old affiliates the Vasiles. North Coast Hotel’s entrance opens up ominously in black and white footage. The picture starts to color as the glass reflects masked individuals in front of the doors that slide open to reveal the couple bodies of security in the hotel. One of the security guards moved to make a muffled shriek followed by a loud bang. The bullet rang through the head of the guard as crimson splayed across the generic carpet inside the hotel lobby.
LIAM O’SHEA & LORENZO CAVALLI are alerted via their mobiles about an intruder alarm just as the footage switches over. The video flickered again, but this time displayed in a split screen is the outside of two prominent police stations less than a mile from the venue.
All looks well at first glance, until the surround sound of a click echoes across the amphitheater, followed by the quake of multiple explosions. The screens light up with embers and debris until the footage is burned. Turning on a heel, the audience shifts, watches the smoke rise above the skyscrapers in the distance, and panic erupts across the lawn. A trio of masked reapers stand at the entrance, OLIVER FAUST, DARCY FAUST, and THEODORE COHEN, pulling back the hammers on their respective rifles before lighting up the crowd in a cascading rainfall of bullets. LINNETTE ANTONELLI, RAHI KUMAR, JUNO SONG, ISABEL FAUST, CARLOS FAUST, ANDREW WHITTEMORE, BLAKE FAUST, & DANIEL FAUST snake their way through the lawn amidst the chorus of screams, and the Fausts keeping an ever watchful eye over the venue follow suit, unsheathing their weapons and putting a bullet through whoever they so much as suspect to be an enemy. Civilian casualties are not preferred, yet unavoidable—this is for the sake of the city, after all.
Either trapped by their shock or pinned by the panicked mob desperately seeking escape, patrons find themselves caught in the crossfire, bodies dropping around them at every turn. Even those that get to their cars are locked in place by the overall congestion of others trying to find their own survival from the sea of gunfire. It’s kill or be killed, whether you’re affiliated or not—civilians must fight for survival.
DISCLAIMER: Character injuries ARE EXPECTED to occur during this time of the event. Please feel free to reach out and plot among each other if you’d like for another character to do the injury. The Fausts are the orchestrators of the event, so preferably not too many of them would be injured during this event, or at least no more than a graze or minor injury.
THIS EVENT ENDS ON FEBRUARY 26TH AT 11:59 PM CST.

The bullets rain the sky and cause the crimson puddles to spread across the venue. Bodies fall around them while the ichor path promises that some had found their way out. The steady hum of the dead static on the screens plays the background music to countless casualties.
A monotonous drone grows louder with the absence of screams until a pop echoes around the laid out crowd, and a color bar transmission flickers across the screens. A cryptic voice reminiscent of nightmares takes center stage this time in a cadence too primarily feminine to parallel any fabricated Faust transmission. Faust figureheads sway idly among the sea of bodies, just as perturbed as the rest of the captured audience. The syllables within a simple question don’t belong to only one voice, instead singing a warning chorus of many. They’re all too familiar. “I gave my life for yours, and now I want it back.” Candid photos fill in the bars of color. LIAM O’SHEA leaving the grave of his father MASON O’SHEA, LORENZO ‘ENZO’ CAVALLI in a bitter exchange with MAEVE O’CONNELL at Skyfall Bar, THEODORE ‘TEDDY’ COHEN traipsing down the porch stairs of his childhood home, JAVIER LEON exiting the residence that once belonged to his father, OLIVER FAUST picking up his son MATTY FAUST from school, a picture of LEV VASILE shot via a window into the Vasile Manor where he sits mere inches away, ELI VOGEL leaving his apartment with his dog Magnus for a daily walk. DARCY FAUST climbing into the driver’s seat of a 1997 Toyota Previa, WALT VASILE bounding past the door of the Vasile Manor.
For the first time all evening, a haunting silence falls over the crowd. The voice allows a breath for the tension before bidding its goodbyes. “I’m not where you left me. But we’ll see each other again soon.” Sirens sound off in the distance, and the audience scatters to their respective territories, but they’re being watched. And all of them have a hunch as to why. But by who?

The night has been advertised by multiple commercials in the civilian’s homes, and even dead bodies littered on some residence lawns. It’s dusk on a Thursday in February. The gates to the Fire and Ice Festival are lowered after hours of waiting in the biting Chicago tundra, and the crowd, over 4,000 strong, rushes in. Most are expecting a night of drunken freedom, cozied up by the outdoor heaters that promise a warm welcome, but some foresee the chaos bound to erupt across the lawn.
The first act takes the stage, and anyone who isn’t inebriated, courtesy of the open bar, is perceptive enough to realize that, no, that’s not Kanye West. Instead they are mesmerized by the lyrical lip syncher Dante Yeast—he looks enough like him, it’s better not to question it. One would think that the O’Sheas, Vasiles, and the Fausts all gathered in one spot would spell disaster, yet the evening rolls on without a hitch, despite the tensions slowly building in its periphery. Fausts members, too, are scattered across the ocean of bodies, but some faces are missing, figureheads who pull the strings.
Maybe they’re absorbed by the crowd; maybe they thought better of attending, but there’s a sense of unease that settles in the air. It’s not quite right, but no one can put a finger on why. Another beer, and the thought is lost is the swell of the music—if they didn’t know any better, they’d think the bass replicates the sound of distant explosions.
You’re free to start plotting. You can start posting starters/threads tomorrow, February 20th, 2020 at 7:30PM CST !  Part II coming February 24th ( Plot Slots can be found below the cut ! )

You’ll notice that some of these plots are public, so feel free to have your character react to them/ notice them even if they aren’t happening directly to your character. However, if something feels like it happened privately to another character, please check in with their Mun to see if it’s okay for your character to know.
To be clear: these are not the only things that happen to your character during this plot drop and you are more than welcome to cook up your own trouble.
To sign up for a plot slot message the main! You can start doing that as soon as right now!
CHARACTER A, CHARACTER B, CHARACTER C, are approached by the venue to play as impersonators for the opening act of the show. However, it turns out…they are the show along with other noteworthy impersonators.
CHARACTER D & CHARACTER E end up camped out at the ticket box office on the other side of the lawn seats. They want a refund for the musical event after their cards were erroneously charged the next day on ADAM & EVE. Much to their surprise they come face to face with CHARACTER F( Faust ).
AUTUMN DAWSON is shitfaced prior to arriving at the music festival. They try to crowd surf before the opening act, and would get immediately dropped if NATHAN BURR didn’t catch their fall.
CHARACTER I & CHARACTER J purchased tickets to meet the bands backstage. They are led by the security detail of the event to two tents filled with a scent of gunpowder. Upon further inspection, they find a crate of fireworks. Do what you will.
CHARACTER K jumps on stage to hijack the mic and accidentally falls and breaks their ankle.
CHARACTER L & CHARACTER M are dosed with PCP by a stranger serving up “free” cocktails. Everything is a blur and they both snap back to reality an hour later, but they’re in the middle of an intense fist fight.
EFFIE FAUST & CHARACTER O engage in a mud wrestling contest that is being judged by no one whatsoever.
CHARACTER P & CHARACTER Q make out in a port-o-potty, but realize shortly after they’re locked inside. It’s up to CHARACTER R to either let them out...or tip them over.
CHARACTER S is mistaken as Pat Benatar. ASLI DEMIR drunkenly convinces them to go on stage to sing LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD.
CHARACTER U & CHARACTER V go hard on the alcoholic beverages & psychedelic treats  at the start of the festival, by the end of it neither of them know where their shoes or wallets are.
CHARACTER W finds their soulmate in a drunken stupor and grinds on them for the better half of two hours, only to realize the grindee is ZHI ROU, who has been uncomfortably shifting away from them this entire time.
CHARACTER Y breaks all of their glow sticks and covers themselves in the liquid. It’s all fun and games until that shit starts to burn. CHARACTER Z does their best to quench CHARACTER Y with every bottled water they can find.
CHARACTER A1, CHARACTER B1, & CHARACTER C1 are hired security guards for the event. They have no clue who hired them to do it.
INGRID VASILE  starts to overdose on COCAINE. LEV VASILE notices their struggle and assists them to the med tent. DOMINIC MURPHY is around the med tent and notices the commotion.
CHARACTER  F1 tries to charge their phone using the musical equipment & gets electrocuted. Also it starts to play the most recent song listened to on their phone which is SONG OF THEIR CHOICE.
GRIFFIN DYER is held up at security when they try to enter the venue, because they tried to smuggle in a small animal. CHARACTER H1 isn’t really security and jacks the animal instead.
SERENITY MICHAELS starts to question their sanity when they see a small animal run in circles in front of them and jet off towards the direction of the port-o-potty.
RACHEL BYRNE feels something small and furry scaling the back of their dress, and, assuming it’s someone’s hand, slaps DAHLIA CAVALLI in the mouth before the small animal scurries away and they have to apologize.
CHARACTER L1 chases the small animal and just when they are sure they’ve caught it, the animal bites them on the neck. CHARACTER M1, who is higher than a motherfucker and hallucinating, sees CHARACTER L1 cradling their neck and automatically assumes a vampiric transformation is happening. CHARACTER L1 has to survive the following attack from a stranger with a pocket knife.
CHARACTER N1 is on their fifth drink at the venue. They hear a loud slurping noise, only to find the small animal lapping their beer in hand. Out of surprise they scream which causes the animal to shit on their hand and run away. CHARACTER O1 looks on in amazement, wonder, and terror as CHARACTER N1 wipes their hand on an unknowing CHARACTER P1. CHARACTER O1 is conflicted if they should say anything but takes a Snapchat video of the whole scenario anyway. It goes viral on Tik Tok the following evening.
The small animal finally gets caught by SANTIAGO PEREZ in a battle that lasts 10 minutes. The small animal is then given to CHARACTER R1 whom they assume is the owner.
CHARACTER S1 is lost to the world, and passes out directly in front of CHARACTER T1 that had just spent twenty minutes in line for a cup of water. The cup of water is spilled on top of CHARACTER S1.
NAOMI WASHINGTON & CHARACTER V1 become instant buddies when they chant to the sound of “SHOTS” around the crowd. IRINA KOSHKIN takes this literally and pulls out their gun ready to fire.
CHARACTER X1, CHARACTER Y1, CHARACTER Z1 all show up to the venue wearing the same exact outfit. You have declared them your number 1 enemy for the entirety of the music festival.
CHARACTER A2 is high as fuck and thinks they’re making a flower crown for CHARACTER B2…..except it’s a crown of shrooms instead. CHARACTER B2 wears the crown, but has to swat CHARACTER C2 away who keeps trying to eat them.
CHARACTER D2, CHARACTER E2, CHARACTER F2 suffer from dehydration. They try to find help at the med tent, but they can’t find where it is.
ROSA LEON gets handsy with the bartender at the open bar and leads them away for a quick fuck, allowing RYAN HAYES and CHARACTER I2 to raid the bar freely.
CHARACTER J2 is the aforementioned bartender and realizes a moment too late their station is being cleared out. Instead of returning to their position, they throw on some neon bracelets and join the party.
CHARACTER K2 is doing some sick backflips in the middle of the crowd and are called out by the currently performing act mid-set for drawing attention away from the stage. CHARACTER K2 does another backflip to retaliate, but accidentally kicks CHARACTER L2 in the face.
JESSE VALENCIA hijacks a ELECTRIC BLUE STRATOCASTER from the backstage, and they are not caught.
DAVUT DEMIR feels like they’re being watched and finds a silhouette with a rifle narrowed in on them perched upon a nearby building. They quickly retreat to find OPHELIA O’SHEA and P2 and warn them about the occurrence, who realize there are multiple snipers surrounding the pavilion.
CHARACTER Q2 swears they heard a sound of explosions over the music, being in front nearest to the stage. They grab the microphone and scream, “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE.” CHARACTER R2 & CHARACTER S2 start to openly panic.
CHARACTER T2 (O’Shea) gets into a physical altercation with CHARACTER U2 (Vasile). They don’t stop until one or the other is knocked unconscious.
ANDREA REED & BIRDIE MENDOZA try to leave the event, but notice that they’re trapped in the auditorium. CHARACTER X2 makes it to their vehicle, but is stuck in place by the surrounding vehicles around them. Unable to escape fully, they return back to the venue.
CHARACTER Y2 hates their life at this music venue, because they’re stuck behind a rather sweaty individual. Their sweat keeps hitting them in the face, and at one point, they catch it in their mouth. It incites a ferocious bout of vomiting, and CHARACTER Z2 is trying to help, thinking they’ve been drugged, but CHARACTER Y2 can’t even explain what it is that made them sick.
TATIANA BLANTER is hit with a spare bullet, but no one is able to find where the source is. As no one around seems to have their gun out. CHARACTER B3 conceals their weapon perfectly.
NOVA DEVERAUX suffers a panic attack due to the crowd gathered, and clings onto CLARA DAVILLA who is unable to get them to the med tent.
CHARACTER E3 feels something warm splash on their face. They are unsure if it’s warm beer or urine. They’re pretty sure it’s warm beer, but remain conflicted the rest of the festival. CHARACTER F3 offers the shirt off their back for CHARACTER E3 to wipe the liquid off their face.
CHARACTER G3 is doing photography for the event, but realizes midway through the show that the performers aren’t who they say they are. They spot a face they know to be Faust affiliated in the crowd and scurry off toward the exit, only to be stopped by CHARACTER H3 (Faust) at the door.
MILES ST CLARE is the first to notice the lack of Fausts at the start of the music venue. They make their way to the police station in hopes of figuring it out, but instead they encounter burning police cars and chaos.

THE ROARING 20s
PART I
Travel back to the 1920s for this massive Prohibition era-themed New Years party, set at Chicago’s very own City Hall. The Chicago skyline serves as the decadent celebration’s backdrop, featuring live DJ sets, jazz, burlesque dancers, and custom cocktails. Expect food, dancing, and large scale art installations. A state of the art light show will be projected onto the side of City Hall and will be accompanied by a stunning pyrotechnic display.
No matter the occasion, parties thrown by the Washington family promise a good time—and a glittering gala to welcome in 2020 sounds like it’ll be the best time. The Washingtons ring in the new year with optimism. If the streets of the city have been painted crimson by the tumultuous gang relations, the mayor and his family are determined to convince Chicago’s citizens that it doesn’t have to be this way. A new year, a new Chicago. Strategically set in neutral territory on the evening of January 4th, this party welcomes all of the city to attend.
You’re free to start plotting & crafting your character’s attire now. Posting aesthetics or outfits for the party should be under crimson.event.
You can start posting starters/threads tomorrow, January 4th 2020, 3pm PST!  The event will run until January 8th.
(plot slots can be found below the cut ! )
PLOT SLOT RULES:
In order to keep things fair, we’re going to allow one character per plot slot right now. If there are any leftovers, we’ll let members know when they can sign up for seconds.
(If you want to get into some real shenanigans and have an idea, hit us admins up and we’ll find a way to make it work!)
To sign up for a plot slot message the main! You can start doing that as soon as right now!
FINNIGAN O’SHEA arrives at the New Year Party already plastered and mistakes CHARACTER B for their date.
INGRID VASILE & CHARACTER D are holed up in the janitor’s closet doing god knows what after accepting pills from a stranger.
SERENITY MICHAELS & ELLIOT HARPETH get lost in the City Hall rooftop garden. None of them bother to check the rooftop door and assume they are locked up on the roof until CHARACTER G opens it to find them.
JAVIER LEON notices people they’ve never seen before. A group of them actually, and is conflicted if they should let security know. Instead they get distracted when NORAH HEMMINGS pulls them onto the dance floor.
CHARACTER J throws a molotov cocktail aiming for the holographic balloon wall. Instead, they catch CASIMIR ‘CASH’ WOLFF‘s leg on fire.
RAEJEANNE JOLLEY  shows up dateless but ends up matching with BOONE WALSH
MICAH RANSONE smuggles in what they think is their own food in a cooler. However, they open it instead it full of firearms. DANIEL FAUST meets with JUNO SONG to trade weapons, and instead opens a cooler with random appetizer dishes. Those fried mozzarella sticks aren’t going to save that bullet hole, buddy.
BREE REEVES drunkenly confesses their gang affiliation to SEAN O’SHEA. SEAN O’SHEA gets separated from BREE REEVES but reunites when they try to leave the building.
SAM O’SHEA & BARNABY  EATON thought it would be a good idea to light firecrackers...inside the city hall. CHARACTER U ( gang affiliate) mistakes it for gunfire and signals affiliated group to take out their weapons. REMINGTON MOON is injured by firecrackers and deaf as fuck.
EVA CLARKE notices Matty Faust at the party and tries to make a grab for him. PHILLIP DAPHNE tries to fight them away. EVA CLARKE is successful and takes Matty to Oliver Faust.
CHARACTER Y starts to serenade the entire New Years Party by singing along to London Bridge. They don’t realize that ZAHARA WENTWORTH is really screaming “Oh Shit!” because they just stumbled onto someone being crucified.
CHARACTER A1 & CHARACTER B1 are victims of a mass confetti bomb that erupts way before it was supposed to courtesy of EFFIE FAUST.

ROARING 20’S
PART II
TRIGGER WARNING: This scene contains violence, gore, and references of crucifixion.
Everything about the evening seems perfect - to some of the critics in attendance, a bit too perfect. Some blood was spilled but nothing that compares to the magnitude of the explosions that rocked the Art Institute in October. All the attendants seem to be settled into a land of make believe utopia - one painted with merriment and inebriated denial. This all changes the minute the DJ’s music is scratched and it takes a while before the background conversations all fizzle. A microphone is tapped as a male with a thick Russian accent rears the audience’s attention to an upstairs balcony shrouded in little light. The voice, the party recalled belonged to one of the media outlets in the city. It’s a familiar voice that even makes the bones in one’s bones chill.
“This isn’t your Chicago. We have come to claim what was ours first. “
The light shone on the back wall of the balcony from behind the speaker. Two figures were suspended on the back wall in a crucifixion style. The nails plunged into the unknown figures hands and feet.
The bag was removed from the first figure and he’s recognized immediately to those in the audience. It matters not if they were civilian or family - the police superintendent is one known by all. A little over a month ago he had addressed Chicago with the arrests of suspects from the November blackout. The sweat rolled from his head as his black, bloodied, eyes settle onto the crowd still with a defiant glare. Crimson drips down from his body on the wall from the open wounds in his hands and feet.
“Join us,” The voice called out, and the room became flooded with more people - none that any of the party patrons had seen before. Some police among the new crowd with the same uncanny radicalism in their eyes. Weapons to their hips and ready to dispose of anyone that tried to leave the demonstration. Recognizable to all are the security guards from earlier on in the party, that seem to be cast in the light of their true allegiance. Police Superintendent Leon gave a stern shake of his head, mouth bound shut as he tried to warn the crowd. A last minute unspoken distress signal to leave the building. The pool of blood grew when he tried to fight his way off from the wall. “Or die.” The speaker spoke and aimed the pistol to fire a single shot between the eyes of the superintendent. The determined eyes of the man cloud over once his life suspends above him. Gore splayed across the wall behind him when his head lifelessly rolled forward.
Screams started to carry through the crowd, but the distress grew when they learned everyone is trapped in place. Packed in like sardines or cattle about to be slaughtered. If the people thought the death was over - they were far from being right.
“What do you say, Ms. Mayor?” The speaker taunted as the bag was removed from the second figure. Ebony curls framed the woman’s face just as her eyes found the dead police superintendent beside her.  However, the speaker never gave her a choice in the matter before he took the second shot. Much like the police superintendent, the mayor slumped forward in the same lifeless fashion.
The families and the civilians are faced with a choice - either they combine their forces to get out or they join the coupe being orchestrated by the Vasiles. The crowd in turmoil watched as people started to come forward to the stairs or towards the figures that blocked the exit to pledge their allegiance to the new path.
Chaos escalated as the naysayers are crucified onto the walls of City Hall. The Fausts noticed their leader’s absence through this demonstration as well as one of the Caporegime, Grayson Faust. With that they along with the O’Sheas notice that Matthew (Matty) Faust is also among those missing.
It’s up in the air what choices will be made, but the choice is inevitable. A stand-alone person is easily plucked up by the Vasiles, or they meander to ally with their enemy to live as they currently do.
Which canvas will the civilians paint red?
Part II will run January 8-January 11, 2020.
The Russian Mob, the Vasiles, are now fully into play! Their roles have been added to the criminal pages with their initiation & symbol branded onto them once they have sworn their allegiance. The initiation would occur at this event in City Hall, but the branding would occur at the Vasile Headquarters.
All the Vasile family would have been escorted out by Dmitri Vasile’s order. At least that was the plan. Ximena Vasile is still inside the City Hall. Any other Vasiles still inside the City Hall are either among the Russian Mob or right in the middle of the fire.
Your character has a one-time chance to change their affiliation to join the Vasiles. For now the Vasiles are larger than both the O’Shea’s and the Fausts put together. If your character chooses to switch allegiances, they will get the role they currently have with their current family. Keep in mind that the consequences in character are that your originally family knows who you are and that you just betrayed them.
Message the main if you’d like for your character to become part of the Russian Mob! (Vasiles)

CHAPTER 2.
THE HIGH PRIESTESS, UPRIGHT intuition
The Vasile Halloween Party - though perhaps ‘party’ is too gauche of a term for a family that is committed to a certain level of elegance and class with its publications. Always a night of revelry and costumes and always invite only, it is universally accepted that Halloween is a night that belongs to the Vasiles. The theme this year is Masquerade and the media family, with their vast connections, have picked The Art Institute of Chicago as the venue for the event. What a better way to spend the evening than amongst the culture that ties the city together?
But the underworld of Chicago never settles. Those in the know are familiar with the current O’Shea and Vasile alliance, and thus, the Fausts are deliberately barred from the event.
If only that was enough to actually keep them out.
All it takes is a few counterfeit invites, a few greased palms, and the convenience of anonymity that a mask provides. Night of, as the guests are ushered through the doors, as the flashes of cameras leave stars in eyes, an inexplicable, unshakable feeling grips the attendees: this promises to be unforgettable.
Hello everyone! Welcome to our first event! The event will run from Wednesday, October 16 to Monday, October 21st. The second part of this plot drop will be revealed on Monday the 21st. While you're not required to pause your regular threads, we encourage you to prioritize event ones. Please tag all event threads and aesthetics with ‘crimson.event’. Feel free to start posting aesthetics, the event will start Wednesday at 5pmPST.

PROLOGUE.
THE FOOL, REVERSED reckless, being taken advantage of, inconsideration
It’s a reckless act, one that crosses well into the territory of stupidity. But one cold September night, Matthias O’Shea decides to sell what he knows for a clear conscience. The fucking rat. He hands over a list of names and two address to the Chicago Police Department - ‘I suspect,’ he surmises, as if he’s trying to brush off the exact weight of what he’s doing.
Matthias O’Shea is a fool and that night Chicago pays for it.
Like wasps, the police swarm both meeting locations. They crawl into the basement of Ferguson & O’Riley, finding the O’Sheas, unaware. They descend on one of the warehouses in the Po catching the Fausts, surprised. Gunshots erupt almost immediately, cracking through the air like thunder on that cloudless night, and violence spills into the streets.
The lazy streets of the city have become a war zone. In a moment, Chicago is turned upside-down because of Matthias O’Shea’s foolishness.
CHAPTER 1.
THE MAGICIAN, UPRIGHT willpower, desire, creation, manifestation
We open on fall, two weeks later. There’s fresh earth on the graves of both the Faust's and O’Shea’s, including Mason O’Shea and Jaxon Faust. Both gangs scramble to set up their new headquarters. The O’Shea’s land on blank and the Faust's land on one of the docked freighters of Southern Transport.
But it’s as if the changing colors of the trees are determined to prove that the earth keeps turning, even in the face of great upheaval.
Mayor Washington, the dark horse candidate of the last election, is not as BLANK as his predecessor. It’s harder to pull the wool over this one’s eyes. And while Mayor Carver was not oblivious to the dark underbelly of the city, he seemed to lack the presence to cause any real change. Meanwhile, Mayor Washington has the willpower to pull this city up by its bootstraps. Death will not define this city in the way it has in the past.
The Washington's host a fall festival at the Lincoln Park Zoo to raise spirits. Come carve a pumpkin, have some snacks or enjoy the corn maze. Most importantly, revel in community. The Fall Fest is decidedly marked as neutral territory amongst most gangs, but it would be naive to say a pumpkin spice latte is enough to heal the wounds of a lost comrade, a lost father, or a lost brother.
SOMEHOW, THE NIGHT GOES ON DESPITE THE BLOODSHED.
