Ack I guess my cosplay project dies now have the soft deadline of July..... cosplayers keep telling me they're looking forward to seeing my project and Smash in July is the best Syd con for cosplayers so..... oh dear a deadline has appeared 😭

Due to some technical difficulties, I decided to shelf my mushroom skirt for a later time and just use the green velvet skirt (that I'm like 98% done making) for the con outfit instead. I was still planning on making my mushroom hat purple like originally planned, but then two nights ago at like 3am I made the mistake of googling 'green mushrooms' and found this li'l guy

And so now my hat is gonna be one of those (I really really hope I already have all the paints I need I don't wanna go shopping orz). Which is fine, better to make these choices now before I make the thing, y'know?

Except I just realised

All the jewellery I made for this outfit is purple, given that was, y'know, my main colour

So now I need to make new stuff in green, and consequently add to my once-again-growing jewellery hoarding problem

i wish fanart came easier to me, or maybe in general I wish I had the energy and motivation to flesh out all the ideas I have even for fandoms I’m not necessarily fixated on. I have a lot of ideas for lots of pieces in my head, but I often have to conserve my energy to focus on one or 2 specific pieces and my ideas either rot in my WIP folder or never make it out of my head.

i mean, I’d rather have a surplus of ideas than have my inspo run dry, it’s just frustrating to not be able to see most of them to fruition, esp for fandoms that I am passionate about but am not necessarily in the perfect hyperfixation mood to be able to put in the effort and hours. idk feels like the planets need to be perfectly aligned sometimes for me to draw shit which is funy bc rlly i should just be able to sit down and draw whatever I want
