New girl’s name is Mineko <3 ( she’s dead already by the time ten and new meet hunter ANOSBSIBSIBSSB ), she’s blind so she thought hunter was an actual hunter scout

She was the daughter of the lady of the maw at the time when she met hunter and was next in line to become a lady herself. Hunter and Mineko both really loved eachother even if the other didn’t know at the time. They would hang out a lot, share food and just generally act really close with eachother whenever Mineko would come out of the maw. One day when Mineko was walking around the city she was caught in the crossfire between hunter and police scouts. Both hunter and Mineko were injured but Mineko caught a lot of the damage, not wanting to go back to the maw ( where her mother would forbid her from going outside of it again after this ) she begged hunter to finish her off so she would gain what little power she had in her. If she was dying today she would rather die in the hands of someone she loves and die knowing that hunter would gain her ability, Hunter reluctantly agreed and killed her. Hunter didn’t have any food that morning so she just ate the body after killing her, she still regrets it because she did love Mineko but also a girl’s gotta eat HAISBISBSIBSISBISBB

It was more serious in my head but now that I’m typing this out this does feel like something casual HAHA, so yeah after that she didn’t really socialize with another human for long again until meeting new and ten

so yeah the third game for little nightmares was announced, that happened, but now I'm freaking out bc I've realized something

So there's a carnival/boardwalk type area that we have to progress through right? The concept seemed familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it until just now. Tarsiers first cancelled little nightmares style game, The City of Metronome, has something similar!!! Now I'm not sure if this is paying homage or just reusing ideas but I am very excited that it's making a comeback, close to twenty years after it was announced. Or this could be a complete coincidence and I'm looking into it too much

After revisiting it again, there is also another similarity!! So in the trailer we get a shot of five hands grasping the edge of a pipe as some creature approaches low and alone, but you know who else has multiple arms? This guy!!

The game was announced in 2005 so everything is a bit crunchy but it's still very cool

do yall ever go look back at old canceled games and go "damn this woulda been a banger for sure" because i can't stop thinking about Tarsier Studios's City of Metronome. it was the original Little Nightmares, but the concept and mechanics were a little too complicated and it got shelved. The combat and puzzles revolved around capturing and utilizing bits of audio, whether that's an earsplitting shriek or a bit of smooth jazz. not much is left of the original project, a few pages of concept art, a trailer, and 10 minutes of gameplay demo-ing the sound mechanic. what we do see of it is absolutely incredible though, a cramped and sprawling city, buildings stretched higher than the eye can see. biomechanical things walk around maze like streets, one type bearing a police hat and baton, the other resembling an old-timey camera. the people of this world are similar to what we see in the Little Nightmares games, incredibly warped in strange ways. we even get to see the original designs of the Nomes! as to be expected from a game centered around sound what we heard of the soundtrack was amazing, funky little tunes. i've linked the trailer below, i'd recommend any fans of the Little Nightmares franchise do their own research its a fun deep dive (and incredibly frustrating when you realize that wait, there really isn't more?)

It’s a pity that that game was canceled, it looked so cool! I hope that one day Tarsier Studios will remake the idea.

No matter what you call him. Tin, Tim, Ten? I made a roblox avatar out of him. It's not the best, but it was the best I could do with the limited knowledge that most people have of the series, and lack of roblox avatar items for it. The hat's innacurate and I couldn't get a weird leg crank for him, but other then that I think he turned out really well!

I remember when everyone was freaking out when Owl City dropped Tornado, I always thought it was really funny how it became immediately clear that no one but me had apparently listened to their song "This Isn't The End" which is about a young girl learning to deal with her father's suicide like Owl City can go some DARK places
