Ah they're remaking the Another Code games!!!!!

These were the games that made me want to write games. It is a good day to be me.

OH MY GOD I'M SO HAPPY ABOUT THE NEWS.

All the characters in Hotel Dusk and Last Window are rotoscoped based on performances done by various models. These are a few of the confirmed models that played the cast of Last Window (many of which came from the Avocado modeling agency).

While the stylistic decisions made to bring Hotel Dusk: Room 215 to life are striking all their own, one unique approach that was decided upon was the actual orientation of the Nintendo DS console. Rather than held horizontally as normal, the game instead asks for the player to hold the DS in a vertical perspective, making it feel like a notebook in their hands. This matches very effectively with the theming of the narrative, with the player in the shoes of a detective trying to solve an odd and unusual mystery.

happy to see the small bump in notes on my Hotel Dusk screencap collection, probably due to the Trace Memory/Another Code remaster announced today. Cing lives on!

i can't believe it's been 3 weeks and only now did i find out that one of my first favorite DS games (and its sequel) got a remake for Switch after CiNG got bankrupt nearly 14 years ago

i've replayed this game several times back then to the point that i still remember the scenes and puzzles so i wonder how much they changed
