Heterosexual but is incredibly uncomfortable about the subject of sex and actually dislikes the idea of doing it herself.

「 Age 」

24 years old, but she was frozen in cryostatus for seventy years so she’s technically 94 years old.

「 Body 」

5’5”, 50KG (110lb)- underweight for a reason, she often forgets to eat/ doesn’t know exactly how to feed herself properly.

「 Face 」

Blue eyes, freckles, longish nose, a faint scar across her right eye and cheek.

「 Hair 」

Short, auburn hair with a block fringe.

「 Voice 」

Cassie has a soft sounding voice but she really struggles to keep her voice levels under control, she can’t really tell whether she’s being too loud or not a lot of the time which usually gets her crew in more trouble. She speaks with an English accent.

「 Personality 」

Cassie is kind and caring and very very resilient and intelligent. However, she has a habit of being sarcastic and quite closed off from other people about certain things. She cares a hell of a lot about her family (the Crew of the Unreliable) and would go through hell and high water for them if she had to.

Cassie is autistic, so she has a few sensory issues, like an adversion to being touched without permission and some sensory issues regarding texture and smell.

She also has the flaw ‘permanently crippled’ meaning she can’t move as quick and can’t dodge attacks.

「 History 」

Cassie was born on Christmas Day in the year 2261 in London, England on Earth to Harold and Jenny Layton a famous Astrologist and a baker. Growing up she had a happy childhood over all. But when she was three her family home was attacked by robbers trying to find a copy of her fathers most important work and was held at knife point until her father somewhat conceded to their demands. This encounter left her with physical and mental scars, as she had been cut with the knife, leaving a scar on her right cheek and eye (although it had faded) and mental scaring so bad that she actually can’t remember any of the incident but still has nightmares about it and presumes that all they are are just that, nightmares. Soon after this on a completely separate note, she was diagnosed with ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition or Disorder depending on which one you prefer). She became hopelessly obsessed with medical books and diaries as well as the idea of space. Fueling her future fate even further. Her parents, approved of her interests and were very supportive of her.

When she was 12 her mother became terminally ill and her parents decided to move to her mothers country of America, so that she could be closer to her family when she goes. Cassie did not adapt well to this change and started to act out, even more so when her mother died. Her father, tried his hardest to help her and eventually got her a job counting pills at the age of sixteen and got her into therapy for her outbursts.

At 23, Cassie heard of the Hope, and the colonising mission, and wanted to go and explore the stars just as her mother had longed to to before her. Her father was anxious about this, knowing he would never see his only child ever again but supported her. A year later she was boarded as the medical expert, and was cryogenically frozen along with the crew.

When the board made the decision to abandon the ship, her father fought against them, consistently protesting against them for her sake and would eventually work his way into his grave. Cassie would never find this out though.

She remained frozen on the ship until Phineas came along and unfroze her and the events of the Outer Worlds started.

「 Signature/Handwriting」

(I just got back to playing The Outer Worlds for the first time since Christmas and hadn’t gotten very far on as I was away at uni or had a lot of work to do but now I’ve just finished my second year at Uni and am now on my summer holidays...if you could call it that, so I’m going to have more time to play one of my favourite video games!)
